  • Melt away makeup with this emulsifying DIY cleansing balm! 💜 FULL RECIPE: alifeadjacent.com/diy-oil-cle...
    This nourishing face cleanser turns from balm to oil in seconds, quickly melting away makeup, sunscreen, and sebum. It’s infused with dried lavender for a soothing natural fragrance without essential oils.
    Plus, this makeup remover balm is self-emulsifying, so it washes off easily. A plant-based emulsifier called CreamMaker FLUID creates a milky lather that rinses off with just water. Your skin is left feeling clean, soft, and moisturized!
    Easy recipe with beeswax, natural emulsifier, and MCT oil. Made without coconut oil to avoid aggravating acne. Perfect for dry and sensitive skin types.
    If you'd like to learn how to make this cleansing balm, check out our blog post for the full step by step tutorial, including recipe, measurements, and ingredients list. You'll also learn more about the benefits of oil cleansing.

    What do you think about using candelilla wax instead of beeswax ? And if I want to use candelilla wax, how many grams should I use?

    • @ALifeAdjacentBlog
      @ALifeAdjacentBlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rama! It should work, but the texture might be a little grainy. We can't make any guarantees about recipe alterations we haven't tested ourselves. Candelilla wax tends to be harder than beeswax so you could try using half the amount of beeswax called for in the recipe. Hope this helps, and if you try it, we would love to hear how it goes!

    • @ALifeAdjacentBlog
      @ALifeAdjacentBlog  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! CreamMaker FLUID is the emulsifier used. You can find the full recipe + more info in the Lavender Cleansing Balm blog post: alifeadjacent.com/diy-oil-cleansing-balm-lavender/
      If you'd prefer a recipe with emulsifying wax, we also have a Blue Tansy Cleansing Balm that uses Olive 1000 (olive-based emulsifying wax): alifeadjacent.com/diy-emulsifying-cleansing-balm/

    Instead of using bees wax, can you use soy wax?

    • @ALifeAdjacentBlog
      @ALifeAdjacentBlog  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, We have never used soy wax in our skincare recipes (just candles) so we can’t recommend it. Plus, substituting with plant based waxes will change the formula and texture of the cleansing balm. Hope that helps!

    You say your recipe is on your blog site and yet the recipe is not there. You only state what ingredients you use.
    For some reason you think MCT oil is not fractionated coconut oil when they are one and the same.

    • @ALifeAdjacentBlog
      @ALifeAdjacentBlog  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, yes the recipe is on our website, and it's linked in the video description. Here it is if you're having trouble finding it: alifeadjacent.com/diy-oil-cleansing-balm-lavender/
      As for your other comment, MCT oil and fractionated coconut oil may be similar, but they are not the same product. MCT oil can be made from either coconut oil or palm oil, while fractionated coconut oil is made from coconut oil only. MCT oil is also often more processed than fractionated coconut oil. Some MCT oils are comprised of caprylic and capric fatty acids only, with lauric acid removed. However, fractionated coconut oil contains all of coconut oil's liquid components, including lauric acid.
