Some great weights after such a hard frost, 75 lb & 95lb are tremendous. Can i ask if you thought that your choice in bait was right. Tight lines & full nets.
Thanks mate and yeah the weights were a bit higher than expected. I was changing all of the time mate. I caught most of them on the wafter but I caught 2 on the maggot mate.
I have to travel around 70 miles to fish it but it’s worth it. I’m the other side of Norwich so I fish places like Reepham and Barford a lot. Both full of carp averaging 5-8lb with a lot of double figure fish. 150lb nets easy at both places on the feeder and bomb. I’ve had some right lumps on the pole down the edge in summer as well. They are both very good venues.
Conditions definitely changing. Fished a peg today, 5 roach and two perch for just over the lb. Fished same peg two weeks ago and had 21lb of roach. Just pleased it wasn't a match just a few of us having a knock up.
Please excuse my ignorance as I only pleasure fish my local rivers, streams and brooks. Can someone please explain what an 'F1' is and are there 'F2s' ect. Also how do they get that name? Many thanks in advance. 👍😊 Ps love this channel Jamie strikes me as a lovely bloke and though I've never match fished I have picked up a lot of tips re feeder tactics and baits. Dead red maggots for example, who knew? 🤔 lol I've had some fine Roach on them up to 1lb 8oz and now always euthanase a 1/4 pint in the freezer before heading out. When other baits are being ignored they often do the trick.

Very good vid are you using ringers baits a lot now I have tried some ground baits and found they mix well for feeder fishing for bream
Yeah I use Ringers more than anything else at the moment, thanks for watching mate!
Decoy is a great complex and all the lakes are full of fish. 200lb nets are common in summer.

No was just down on our local club water. Had a couple of kids wanting to be shown how to cast accurately and how to elasticate top kits.

Just the 1oz tip mate
Only 1.0 oz, this tip withstands 3-4 kilos carp.

Why do you have to use their keep nets?
James saves any contamination from other lakes or dirty nets.
