    Hi! Love your coverage and discourse on all topics Star Wars! Stopping in to present a small idea I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. I suspect that Qimir is actually a very young Palpatine. He's not been named Sidious by Palgueis -- IE he has no name. This offers an explanation on why Qimir/Palpatine would have been working with the Witches -- furthermore explains his eventual connection to the witches of Dathomir. Also explains some of his behavior in the Acolyte series. Hiding, and manipulating from the shadows, only difference is he's young and makes the same mistake that Maul did on Courisant prior to Phantom Menace. Theres nothing to say that Palpatine didn't have many "acolytes" prior to Maul. Additionally, they've already augmented canon characters ages -- though in Palpatine's case, it could be explained away that Palgueis knew how, and did keep him alive for significantly longer than he would have normally lived through dark side sorcery.
    Again thank you for being a paragon of the Star Wars community! Keep up the amazing work!!

    Manny was great being sinister and still throwing in a goofy "Hello". The choreography was spectacular. This should be watched as a double episode Day/Night. Force healing has been in Star Wars video games long before Rise of Skywalker.

    Yord was being realistic about lightsaber combat. The only beings that can really use lightsabers effectively are jedi. For non force users a blaster is much easier to kill with. So the only real experience any jedi has against another lightsaber is dueling another jedi trained by jedi.

    Because Qimir refers to Sol as master, maybe Qimir was "recruited/abducted" by the Jedi as a small child and Sol could sense the force and great potential in Qimir. Sol starts to train Qimir as an apprentice but then begins to sense the dark side within him and halts his training without explanation and abandons him, or even tries to unalive him because of the darkness within. Qimir then feels isolated and betrayed by the Jedi and Darth Plagus senses his intense emotions and power and is introduced to the dark side and the way of the Sith. Sol has a hard time recognizing Qimir because his mind has been so corrupted and clouded by the dark side that he is essentially a different person. Or Sol does recognize him and is so full of guilt he cant even admit it to himself.
    Just a thought.

I think Qimir's master is actually the one who can force possess people, they just made it appear as if Aniseya was doing it. I think Aniseya would be reluctant to "pull the thread." On a tier list of strongest dark side users to ever exist in Star Wars, she would be S-tier and happens to also be female, which is something the showrunners would've definitely been interested in exploring. Smilo Ren also literally has the same smile as Abeloth, and it makes sense that a witch coven with mind magic would be affiliated with Abeloth. One of Abeloth's specialties was mind-controlling Jedi knights, and she was able to turn Jacen Solo into a Sith Lord. C.)ALL Jedi are force sensitive and Sol is supposed to be this high level guy whos a mind reader yet cant tell theres a switch D.) Why wouldn't you make sure the Sith is dead E.)Why would you leave incredibly rare and dangerous lightsabers all over the woods. I mean they LITERALLY MAKE SUPER WEAPONS out of the crystals that power them..its like leaving Uranium laying around F.)Does this dude not have ANY respect or care for his friends? Would an actual medieval Knight leave a dead comrade's body to be eaten by animals after a battle was over and the enemy assumed eradicated....I mean THE ENORMITY OF THIS BAD WRITING WOULD BE UNPRECEDENTED...if we didn't already have She-Hulk...it is insane about how either incompetent or lazy these people were. Its like a skit show and certain characters are just SUPPOSED to be in certain locations which works in a goofy comedy because it's just comedy bits...this is just scenes without ANY reasoning...if they predecided they wanted certain scenes in a TV show they could have just out-sourced the script to a bunch of high school kids that could brainstorm WHY these people would be at certain places... because as is they never make sense...and if the scenes were oscar worthy maybe it wouldn't be so bad but the scenes are normally boring asf or just disjointed.

    Sol meet Qimir the day before. At that time Qimir asked Sol not to do any Jedi mind tricks on him.
    Qimir was mocking the fact that Sol could not sense the dark side user standing in front of him yesterday.
    Qimir is taunting this fact and provides another clue, when he refuses to take off his helmet, stating this wouldallow sol to do Jedi mind tricks.
    The main reason he would not take his mask off was he needed to hide his identity and it gave him an advantage in a light saber duel.

    I don't understand the focus on force healing. It's been a thing in Star Wars since some of the earliest games and books. Just because most aren't taught or can't use the ability doesn't mean it hasn't been there for the shows and movies to use.

And he has master powers, he went through jedi master, Knights, padawans, so out numbered, not alot of sith apprentices that I can think of, could have done that, he just seems way more of a master sith to me, even if he shouldnt be in this show, but this show is changing some lore, wouldnt suprise me if they dont use a big name sith, and just created a new one for the show...

    Watched this live and it was funny cuz Maude was out there cosplaying as a stick in the mud but this time the big boss came onto set and he's enjoying the show so we got a lot of facial expressions this episode lol.
    I did not like OWK. That's actually a bad show in my opinion. To me this show is good as hell but a bit flawed. It's kinda like those in love see no flaws. Fall out of love and you nitpick all flaws. I'm somewhere in between where I see the flaws but I refuse to give a flying fuck about them? Kinda thing.
    This show is like being at the beach and having a good time. I can toss on my headphones and ignore the idiots making all the noise and laugh at all the people like Maude just actively trying to have a bad time in a fun spot. A bee might buzz by and piss me off but that doesn't ruin my day. "You had a bad moment not a bad day." is how I try to view negative experiences.
    You're obviously gonna feel what you feel but ... that has to suck for you cuz I'm literally just happy to watch a pretty good series visiting new planets in a new time period. Everything is new and can be broken down and bits of legends get brought in so I get to watch hours of extra content covering those topics as well. I am getting a LOT out of this series and it's fucking great.
    That outweighs pacing or awkward delivery on some lines or whatever small stuff I'll notice and laugh at but ultimately just... not care about. It's not the important part about the story being told and intentionally giving it weight is a choice.

    11:24 but he exposed himself! He intentionally revealed himself to the Jedi! Like there’s no reason for him to do that, it doesn’t make sense. “Mae was gonna betray him and tell the Jedi everything.” Tell them what? It’s already been established that she doesn’t know anything! She doesn’t know his name, she’s never seen his face, what does she actually know?
    Like that’s the whole point of him using Mae as this assassin so that he could remain hidden per the Rule of Two. Nobody knew who he was. Even Sol asks him “why reveal yourself?” And he says “well, I didn’t wear a mask.” But that’s not what Sol was asking. Even if the helmet had stayed on the Jedi know there’s a Sith running around! In canon comics Maul uses his lightsaber a few times to fight people in the Coruscant underworld, and Sideous nearly murders him. Because if the Sith reveal their presence too early the Jedi might, oh I dunno, institutes some preventative measures that might stop the Sith from infiltrating the Senate and dissolving it into “the first, Galactic, EMPIRE!” And just ruin hundreds of years of Sith plotting.
    But now Darth Qi’mir is just openly out here? It’s just not consistent.

  • @BlyatBlaster
    @BlyatBlaster 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    8:54 but Jecki isn’t supposed to be this combat master. She’s a Padawan, and a low level Padawan at that. The Sith, even a Sith Apprentice, is supposed to be significantly more powerful than even Jedi Knights. And Qi’mir just slaughtered 6 or 7 other Jedi Knights with ease. But this little girl Padawan makes him struggle? He should annihilate her. It shouldn’t even be a thought. It should be effortless. He should cut through her like it’s nothing.
    The only time we’ve seen a Padawan defeat a Sith was Obi Wan defeating (sorta) Maul during Phantom Menace. But that wasn’t anything to do with Obi Wan being more powerful than Maul because remember, Maul won the duel portion of that fight. It was only when Maul allowed his hubris to distract and blind him that Obi Wan was able to get the upper hand for a split second and cut Maul down.
    Even Anakin as a Padawan was easily dispatched by Count Dooku. And Anakin is supposed to be one of the most proficient swordsmen the Jedi have ever produced. And he couldn’t defeat a Sith.
    But we’re supposed to believe this little Padawan held her own against this Sith?

    My guess is that like many dark side force users he was a mixed-up kid tormented about this or that and some enterprising Sith master came upon him and decide to recruit and turn him to the dark side and train him to help fulfill their personal agenda. E.g. Sidious with Maul, Dooku (admittedly no longer a kid) and Anakin, Dooku with Asajj, Maul trying to do this with Ezra, Sidious/Snoke with Ben, Ben trying to do this with Rey, etc. It's not that complicated and the process is well-known at this point. It's probably how Sidious was recruited when he was a kid. The real question is who recruited and turned him, and how that relates to the broader SW story line and the events that led up to the Jedi's fall 100 years later.

    🌪️ that’s always been the big debate about Star Wars in reference to what maude was saying at the end. When we started with Star Wars with the first three movies all you had was the last Jedi versus the last Sith so it was easy to set up good versus evil no problem. Even in the sequel series with ren it was still leaning towards good versus evil as far as the force was concerned because you had ren vs Palpatine. The province starts with the prequel series where you have the Jedi shown as a religious/political force within the world of the existing government. That’s where things got complicated and a little gray area. You literally established a religious organization involved with government and everybody knows that is a very bad idea unless that was the whole point that George Lucas was going for in the movies. If he was trying to establish that it’s a very bad thing to mix church and state because it can lead to bad things then OK if that was his original intent, I don’t know. I’m not a Star Wars, I’m just approaching it from the movies going crazy with the novels and comics and stuff. I’m just going by what I’ve seen of the trilogies.

  • @francisco_m7849
    @francisco_m7849 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    🌪️ oh yeah, here’s another problem. I got with Star Wars in general now. Lucas was inspired in originally by Dune for some of the ideas for his Star Wars and also he introduced concepts of sword and fantasy in space and a bunch of other stuff basically he mix together a bunch of genres into one movie. I’m a one hand he has themes Of monks and orders, which is a religious theme, then you have your samurai theme because of the light sabers, Then you have your war theme with the rebels and the Empire. It’s like he was leaning towards one way, but then kind of threw a bunch of other stuff in there cause it was cool. Like if this series was just straight up samurai themed mystery I think I would’ve been fine with this thing.

    🌪️ here is probably another unpopular opinion. A Star Wars should just stop trying to create new characters and just go ahead and make stories with characters that over exist in the novels and comic books because that’s a huge source material. They have right now. Trying to create new characters and then trying to, jigsaw them into the world of Star Wars make much sense right now. Unless you jump centuries ahead and leave everything behind and just create a whole new world for Star Wars maybe on the other side of the Galaxy.

  • @francisco_m7849
    @francisco_m7849 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    🌪️ I think I’m slowly starting to get upset again because I like Star Wars as an idea and as fun fantasy, but when you break logic for the sake of breaking logic, it drives me insane. The fact that for a Jedi, it’s OK if you fight someone in battle and you kill them you’re good but if you strike them down out of anger or revenge then that’s it. You are part of the Darkside and there’s no coming back or the ideas. If you strike someone down in anger that’s it. You can never be part of the light side. You have no choice, but to be a follower of the dark side. I think that is complete bull crap and that’s a thing that they created to force characters to do things without dealing with their emotions. It really is a core ridiculous thing that Star Wars did.

    I been hearing some theories about how Jackie and Yord isn’t dead but severely injured. For instance Yord could be just paralyzed from the neck down due to his neck being snap since in some tv shows it shows that if they don’t do it correctly it would leave them paralyzed instead. Which would make Yord the first paralyzed Jedi. As for Jacki I don’t know if her species birth the same way we do but two out of three lightsabers stab just hit her arms so if the third one would be non fatal then she could survived with two badly damaged arms.

But I do have to say that as a franchise Star Wars is really difficult to create new stories for because I feel that there is so much stuff written for the universe of Star Wars that everyone is trying to find a link to what’s already been done. The example is basically when Eric where is making comments about the show and then he starts revising books and comics and novels and the history of the Knights of Ren and how they could link that. That’s the problem with Star Wars so much stuff has been put out that people are looking for links for stuff that already exist.

The whole base concept of the Jedi, looking for balance and peace with the force and at the same time they are a militant group who uses swords is weird unless you look at them like what the samurai were, but they’re not doing that, so that you want them to be peaceful order but you’re still training your acolytes for combat one doesn’t drive with the other.

    Maybe the show is trying to play with the semi sorta nationality of Sol and Qimir. But listen to this far out there scenario if nationality is my reason for this idea. Sol and Qimir maybe related and my far out part is what if there is an age related reason why they look different and they are TWINS like Osha and Mae. Cuz Qimir said what happened to your dark side. I know this is a very very long stretch. But I still feel they are related in some why.

    🌪️ oh man, I totally forgot about that whole Jecki scene with osha. If the philosophy is that when something dies, it becomes part of the force and that’s a good thing why is Sol having such a problem with everybody dying unless he has issues with his emotions and he is more clingy than most of the other Jedi. That’s another thing from the beginning is coming off a lot more emotional than any of the other Jedi you’ve seen up to now. All the Jedi are very stoic and focused and have their emotions in check but not Sol.

They just cannot help themselves trying to link something small into the bigger universe of Star Wars and I think that’s where it all went wrong.

    My read was Qimir. Saying ‘Sith’ was him commentating on how Jedi are so black and white. He’s ’s using the dark side so the Jedi will think he’s Sith. His healing shows he’s something else right?
