As far as I know, he didn't say that Krishna had the biggest contribution. He said that he cannot judge because all he could see was Krishna fighting Krishna, that everyone in the battlefield was Krishna himself..

    • @makemeasandwitch1231
      @makemeasandwitch1231 3 ปีที่แล้ว +195

He didn't use the word Krishna but Vishnu
It is wrongly stated in this video where the hidden meaning isn't covered. Katu Shyam was such a powerful warrior that he did not carry many desires. His strongest desire was to witness this great war. Lord Krishna cut off his head to free him from the bondage of all desires beside one that was of witnessing the battle. While witnessing the battle he realized the message of Bhagavad Gita. Nobody is born or killed. No killing actually occured on the battle field. It was by the Leela of Vishnu that Sudarshan Chakra went from one place to the other is what he stated when he was asked who the strongest warrior was. This implies that he attained Moksha.
Lord Krishna being Self Realized realized the state of Barbarik and helped him attain Self Realization.

    Awsm information...
Barbarik was blessed by Lord Krishna that he had made the ultimate sacrifice so he gave him his name Shyam and from then on, barbarik came to be known as Khatu Shyam. It is believed that anyone who is stuck in any situation promise to visit Khatu Shyam, his or her wishes geta fulfilled. But their faith on Khatu Shyam ji should be strong. I have seen people getting healthy even when doctors said they will not survive. Khatu Shyam ji's miracles are true.

In kalyuga, as of today, Barbarik is known as Lord Shyam. He resides in Khatu, Rajasthan (India) - meaning there is the main temple where devotees in more than crores visit every year to worship. My lineage, through history has always been devotee of Lord Shyam.
He is known for helping the ones who lose. Ones who fail.
There is saying in hindi: "HARE KA SAHARA, BABA SHYAM HAMARA" which means "SUPPORTER OF THE LOSER, OUR LORD SHYAM".
Through hardships and rough paths, through happiness and joyful days, remembering BABA SHYAM has only made my life better.

The mahabharata was never about a war amongst equals, it was always about achieving a pre determined outcome, hence krishna made every effort to manipulate, and nudge individuals and events towards this predetermined outcome, that which was his dharma.
The lives of the warriors, regardless on which side they choose to fight, was inconsequential, what was more important was the tales of the war, the complex situations created, the wisdom that was given in those difficult situations by kirshna, which would become a guide for coming generations to draw inspiration from and help humanity adopt a more dharmic life.

    • @granand

Yeah.. Krishna is a god and he just needed a tools to accomplish his message.. Arjuna is useful idiot. Karna would not and Duryodhan is a very smart, unlike uselss Dharmaraj who continued to make stupid mistakes. . He cannot sustain kingdom or grow unlike Duryodhan who is a strategist. So Krishna to deliver his message Bhagwad Gita, he needed of course Arjuna ... Krishna being god said in Bhagwad Gita, he comes down every YUGA and people should fear as when he comes there will be death and destruction to recreate.

  • @YalamberHangRai

The Akash Bhairab is said to be the Kirati king Yalambar himself. Legend has it that, Yalambar was the first king to establish this nation and even extended towards Tista in east and Trishuli in the west. He is believed to have gained the powers through tantric worshipping. During the famous battle of the Mahabharat, the first king of Kirat dynasty, Yalambar in disguise of Bhairab, went to the battlefield to help the losing party. When Lord Krishna heard of it, he tried to test the ability of Bhairab, turned out that if Bhairab was to be allowed to join the losing side, the war would continue till both parties were to be annihilated, for whichever side Bhairab will have overwhelming advantage that the arrow, Bhairab (Yalamber is kirat king, and kirats are known to be great hunters whose primary weapon is bow and arrow) possessed could even penetrate the body of Krishna who is considered divinity. So Krishna asked Bhairab if Bhairab could give something as gift, for Bhairav is/was the greatest of all warrior in the gathering of Mahabharata, as Bhairav agreed, Krishna asked for the head of Bhairab and he promptly chopped Yalambar's head, which reached Kathmandu through the sky, hence the name given to the sky god or the Akash Bhairab.

Yes indeed. But there is also a little contractionary problem. Some sources say that the King Barbarik's name was Yalamber. And also anther conflicting problem is that there is a Kirati army under a Kirati King whose name is supposed to be a grandson of Yalamber and is fighting on the side of Kaurav army.
      From Wikia:-
"Kiratas and Chinas were part of the one Akshouhini of troops of Pragjyotisha (Assam) king Bhagadatta who joined the side of the Kauravas(5,19).
Western Kiratas were mentioned along with the Sakas, and Yavanas, the Sivis and the Vasatis as marching in the huge army of Kauravas (5,198). The Sakas, the Kiratas, the Yavanas, and the Pahlavas were mentioned in a battle-array formed by the Kauravas (6,20). Similarly, they are mentioned in another battle-array formed on another day at (6,50).
Words of Satyaki a Yadava chief on the side of Pandavas, during Kurukshetra War:- Those other elephants 700 in number, all cased in armour and ridden by Kiratas, and decked with ornaments, the king of the Kiratas, desirous of his life, had formerly presented to Arjuna. These were formerly employed in doing good to Yudhishthira. Behold the vicissitudes that time brings about, for these are now battling against Yudhishthira. Those elephants are ridden by Kiratas difficult of defeat in battle. They are accomplished in fighting from elephants and are all sprung from the race of Agni."

To me barbaric is our materialistic intellect , which when surrenders to devine intellect , mahabharat concludes.
Our materialistic world is too powerful ,still devoid of ultimate goal happiness and peace . Materialistic pleasures are temporary and fluctuating .समरसता ,स्थितप्रज्ञ अवस्था can't be achieved unless it is combined with devine intellect ( श्रेष्ठ मत) .
That moment of realization is जीवन मुक्ति, which was achieved by Janak.

The three arrows symbolise Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The first that targets the enemies represents Brahma / Sattwa. It creates targets. Second Vishnu / Rajas. It preserves targets. The third Shiva, Tamas. It destroys targets and redeems their soul to unite with the Spirit / Param-Shiva / Para-Brahma. In my estimation Barbarik must have been a portion or wholly one of Shiva’s Rudras to wield such power. Or at least was Shiv / Tama pre-dominate in terms of his constitution. Which would explain why Krishna / Vishnu and Barbarik had such a wonderful leela.

Krishna and his habits of asking for Charity never get old. He disguised himself and asked for kundal and kavach from Karna. He asked Barbarik's head for charity. He instructed Bheem on how to vadh Jarasandha, He fooled Durydhan when he was about to take blessings from Gandhari. And they say Padavas won fair and square without chhal kapat.
It's an irony, how people name their children Yudishtir ( who didn't think twice before gambling on his own wife) But no one name their children Duryadhan ( who was so desperate to take revenge for Karna) No one name Ashyathama ( who wanted to avenge the death of Duryadhan).

actually its wrong story the guy wanted to fight for pandavas(since they where his family) but he did not see them ever so too know which side is pandavas he assumed that since they are small in number they wouldd be losing the war so he would help the losing team since the losing side should be of pandavas(lack of army, strong warriors like bhisma, dronacharya etc)

Its all like latest weapons, isnt it..?? Like the first arrow would mark people he wants to kill…so its like a recon dart arrow that reveals enemies in red or may be something similar… and the 2nd arrow marks the people he wants to save… that would be like the same recon dart arrow revealing the allies… then he can use his 3rd arrow to kill those who were marked or revealed by the first recon dart… sounds familiar

    Technically barbarik was a robot.
He was behaving like the programmed device.. we all know ancient time was way more advanced than us. There is high possibility he was an ancient robot and that was a reason probably his eyes was not decayed after thousand of year's when his scull was discovered in khatu (rajasthan) 600 years ago

Story was indeed good but a little clarification and changes. The arrows was not gifted by Lord shiva but it was gifted by goddess Kali on the behest of his guru. Also the story has to end with mentioning that after the head of barbareek was served, Lord Krishna revived his life back because was not only a devotee of Lord Krishna but also a staunch devotee of kali goddesses. Lord Krishna after reviving his life said he will give all his powers to barbareek when kalyuga starts and will be named as khatu shyamji who is very popular in village Rajasthan sikar district. In 1027 AD roop Singh Chauhan saw buried idol. That place is called shyamji kund.
