I was born in 1950 in Hong Kong . I remember hearing this when i was growing up. Although now i am living in the U.S. and can only listen to this on Utube.
Love this music. Reminded me of my grandmother whom has passed away 30 years ago. Used to watch Teochew opera in the 70s / 80s back in Singapore. Thks for sharing. 感谢

Most of the VN Teochew live in District 6 (Quan shau) around Ping Tay Market in Saigon. But now most younger generation extremely like to speak Cantonese and think that Teochew is a backward (落后) dialect without cultural backing of Canto pop songs, dramas, mivies etc. Hurray for these musicians who uphold Teochew culture C .

這种音乐才是真正的潮州音乐 現在潮汕一帶的現代潮剧 改革太多 就少了潮味 這种潮乐上世紀六七十年代 看香港拍聶的東山潮剧電影和香港新天彩潮剧電影就有這种潮州音乐 好好听 难怪現代潮剧失去吸引力 还有 現代潮剧少了幫腔 天啊 帮腹是潮剧最大的特色 是其他剧种沒有的 幫腔真的可以提神 給潮剧增加活力 古老的潮州音樂加上幫腔 是最有代表性的大表 什么都能改革 就這兩樣不能改 一改就像潮到了

潮乐仍保留梆鼓, 双皮鼓等, 粵乐什么都没有了! 还有粵戲的毃擊大吵了, 不是音乐是噪音.
才怪！潮樂連六國大封相、八仙賀壽都失傳，潮樂也是噪音！
