As a therapist doing back-to-back telehealth sessions, I have felt so burned out this year. It’s literally been non-stop. You are so very talented, and I thoroughly enjoy the pacing, the music, and all of the cozy activities you do and film. I loved Where the Crawdads Sing! I read it after I went to North Carolina for the first time in 2019 for a music camp. I could really appreciate it after having been there myself. I read it last year during the week my music camp should have happened...The Giver of Stars is on my list! :)
I grew up in Virginia and frequently visited North Carolina-- I'd never appreciated how beautiful the marsh lands can really be but this book painted them with nostalgia and I can't wait to visit again and appreciate them more!

This week, I've found myself needing to move to an unfamiliar place-- away from my home-- to help my mother to the hospital. My mental state teeters sometimes, but watching your videos never fails to bring that "home" back to me again, especially when I spent so many quarantine days with a cozy blanket and a cup of tea typing out "Morgan Long" to pair with the occasion. You don't know amount of respite and relief your videos give to people Mo', and here's my little comment of gratitude for it each time. 🥺

Someone with a bigger audience than me has actually been copying me a fair bit on their TH-cam and Patreon and it's made me a bit afraid to share my creative projects. I was even nervous sharing these sketches for fear that in a few weeks I'll see them doing the same thing and somehow making money off of it and taking all the credit. I'm getting over it though! Soon, I'll feel comfortable to share my watercolor art 🌿

This week, I've found myself needing to move to an unfamiliar place-- away from my home-- to help my mother to the hospital. I started listening to Where the Crawdads Sing per your recommendation; only at the beginning, and so far really love how much nature is incorporated in the story. Have you read Tuck Everlasting? It's a children's book, but very much has the same feel--so much nature in it.

I absolutely loved this vlog, Morgan! I am such a fan of Where the Crawdads Sing. I love books that have a strong sense of place and nature is seemingly a character in the book. I also loved The Giver of Stars! The book also inspired me to sketch. Have you ever tried watercolors?

I have tried watercolors and I LOVE them!! I don't always share my art on my TH-cam. Someone with a bigger audience than me has actually been copying me a fair bit on their TH-cam and Patreon and it's made me a bit afraid to share my creative projects. I was even nervous sharing these sketches for fear that in a few weeks I'll see them doing the same thing and somehow making money off of it and taking all the credit. I'm getting over it though! Soon, I'll feel comfortable to share my watercolor art 🌿
