And Saudi arabia has the best life style in the world.. strict law against drugs Saudi Arabia or a City built on drug money. I'm sure the latter has the better life style.

    When you are that rich already, the difference between the two deals (Miami and Saudi) won’t make much difference to the quality of your life; so you might as well choose based on where you would be happiest. Miami also enables Messi to invest in a project even beyond his playing days.

      @bruxi78230 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @chavito777 ----- Not sure about 1/2 billion, but agree in principle that it's a great deal. The reason is more subtle and long term. Messi is a brand. His brand has a very positive image. He will be doing endorsement deals for the rest of his life. That is the real upside for him financially. Think Michael Jordan type ability to earn.
      But if he were to associate his brand with the Saudis. In much of the world the Saudis have an absolutely toxic reputation. That could badly damage Messi's brand over the long term. Smart decision on his part.

    Football has been the laughing stock for americans for far too long. But you best believe that Messi will be the reason footballs explodes in the US and not only gets the recognition it always deserves but overtake other sport leagues in popularity. @HerotsLament ปีที่แล้ว

      @@philippluniak5855 but Pele was already washed up by the time he came to the us and there was no internet back then. So they did their best to supress football from becoming popular to make sure it didn't overtake the MLB, NFL etc and Beckham is no messi. Messi may not be in his prime but he is literally still the best player in the world with at least another few years left of elite level to show Americans why they should be watching the sport. Messi is literally the biggest and most famous athlete in the world right now. People are going to flock to see his every game and will draw attention to the MLS from investors etc. I hope that this is what it will take for football to finally become a staple in the us. *Remember, Messi at 35 is not Messi at 25. He can get hurt and all goes down the drain. By the time he recovers, he will seriously think about RETIREMENT. So, don't get too excited.* Besides, with the present team, Messi is not Merlin...the magician. Lots of IF's.

    I am just in wonder why he choose Miami just for 45 million? 🤐🤐With Saudi 1.62 billion 💷 💰 deal....for 2.5 year... 💷?? And MESSI is already BRAND ambassador of ADIDAS from more than decade .. Its not new.. 😕😕... Still 1.6 billion is alot more than these deal for 2.5 years

      He was miserable in Paris. I think he doesn't want to spend another 2 years in a place he and his family could not be comfortable. Being booed in Paris, he surely realized that it's not all about the money.

      He hasn't retired from international football. So he needs stay fit.
      MLS is basically Ligue 1 without PSG. Whereas Saudi league is like Ligue 2.
