I've just recently learned this from a appliance repair technician, don't use baking soda and vinegar together, when combined, it basically makes water.. here's why.. Baking soda is a base, and vinegar is an acid. When they're combined, acids “donate” protons to bases; in this case, it's acetic acid lending a hydrogen proton to the bicarbonate. When bicarbonate gains a hydrogen proton, it forms carbonic acid (or H2CO3) which is unstable and eventually decomposes. The "reaction" is when the acid "donates" the proton to the base.. after that reaction, it turns into water or more technically "H2O". 🤷♀️

🦋🦋 thanks for this idea-I'm going to try my steam cleaner on my oven door....I've been looking for an effective/non chemical way to clean it. Also, I really appreciate when you say realistic things like, "I don't know if we've ever cleaned it", because there are so many things around a house that get used every day (like a light), that are just not in the normal cleaning path. It's another thing that makes you and your channel so relatable 💙

On those character drink bottles when my kids were young they loved those - one day I saw something about the drink heads - make sure you soak and wash those Well as they can collect icky stuff- might wanna use steam cleaner on those🦋
