Could be cool to make an “island” that shoots out from the middle of where both tanks meet so itll look like its one scape

Would you put a few fish with a similar colour in the other tank?
IMHO it would be a cool thing to do, a bit like how the white and black of the ying yang symbol contains its opposite.
It would ease the flow of the gaze across the two tanks.

I'd love to see an old-school "dutch style" in one of these! Should look good with the black trim and frame.

  • @criteschristine

Very uniform and sleek. A little frosted backing to hide the cords and all the attention will be focused on what’s inside! Transition from heavy stone to heavy wood and maybe a little sandy front section could further blend the two tanks into one?

You could stick them together as showing as one scape. An image starting from the first tank that continues to the second tank

Hi! Nice acquisition.✨ I also think it feels good to have a little change. In answer to your question, I would say that personally I have three aquariums next to each other. If I had to do it again, I would make a triptych. So, it would perhaps be very nice if the two aquariums were composed of the same theme, but in continuity. It's an idea like any other. Can't wait to see the rest and especially that of the saltwater aquarium. 🤩 Bonjour from Quebec city! 💁🏻‍♀️🇨🇦/🇫🇷

Have one side start right to left and the other left to right so they come to a point together in the middle! So when you look at them both together they look like a concave style layout! Hi MJ , I’ve just got the styleline 125 myself. I’m using a biomaster thermo 650 with aquario flow pipes and the Twinstar 600EA ( it just fits under the glass lid ). I’ve just finished a wet test for all the equipment.
The dimensions have been a bit worrying for me , so looking forward to seeing what arrangement you do in the aquarium. The band around the bottom is quite deep.
    All the best,

A salt water macroalgae continuous scape would be very cool.
Because these aren't scaper tanks a further exploration of saltwater macroalgae could be a very exciting option.
The lids will definitely help with evaporation and the twin tanks could be used to for a single composition across the pair.
You could even include driftwood cut to work across both tanks. So few people use wood in salt water aquariums but there is no reason why this can not be done. A large piece of wood angled to flow across the full width of the pair would look amazing.
    Maybe even get some seahorses!

curios how you will scape this ; I discovered as I get more experienced in aquascaping it's quite hard to maintain this type of aquarium, with the in/out slots at the back I find it hard to get the flow across the tank, so I need to put the pipes on the sides and that makes the lid pointless , on my next on will go for a rimless

    @lakeshiamills1454 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I like the new tanks! Definitely thin you should do a fresh and saltwater side by side. There are some really cool macros that can really make a display pop with color! And the best part you can use regular planted tank lights instead of reef spectrum lights for (most) macro algae species. There are a few that definitely require the blue spectrum seen in reef lights in order to grow to their full potential but generally a lot of the macros do amazing under full spectrum. Either way I know you'll make something fantastic

A transitional continuation of scaping would be an Idea I'd try out.
For example starting off on the left hand side with low dark green plants to tall red plants on the right hand side.
With red root floaters on the left . That would be the basic structure with accents paced artfully throughout.

I would love to see two different scapes: sand style scape with brown rocks and red/bordeaux coloured plants and sunken ship layout in the other tank. Moss should make that lovely and plants of your own choosing.
What would make it totally awesome is that the two tanks should get connected with a clear tube that could make the fish swim from one tank to another. I don't know if this would be possible with the perimeters and flow tho...

These tanks look like the old school clear seal tanks. I ended up putting rims and lids back on my tanks to help with heat retention and humidity.
I've recently got back from a trip to the coast with my kids, found loads of fun rocks and driftwood that I'm currently testing in tubs outside to see if they're OK. Might be fun to do a hard scape based on stuff you can collect. I've always found it difficult to get the scale and textures right when doing this, would be great to see a pro tackle it!
