The whale from Brazil is Samoa, who was captured with Nandu and Tilikum. The whale she joined in Ohio was Kahana, and the "Namu" who had a baby was Katina, who's at Orlando today and 41 years old.
SAMOA LIVES HEAR IN BRAZIL SÃO PAULO 1985 -1989 , HEAR SHE LIVED WITH NANDU AND FOUR DOLPHINS , INANDU , SAMOA AND TILIKUM ARE FREE AND TOGETHER FOR EVER NOW :)
"Namu", in the first part of the video, was actually called Samoa. She had been captured in Iceland and kept at a marine park in Brazil for a few years along with a male named Nandu, who sadly passed away. She was then sent to SW in the US, living first at SWO and then at the Texas park, where she died in 1992 during labor with her first calf. I'm not sure exactly who the second orca featured in the video is. It looks like it could be Keet, who spent several summers at SWO, but if it is, the video info is wrong, since the title says 1989 and Keet wasn't born until 1992.
Samoa is the whale from 1989 and stage named "Namu". Kahana is also there with Samoa. Katina is the whale with the baby that was mentioned. Kasatka and Kahana are in the second parts of the video from 1985.
+Sara Gray Knowing what? If you're referring to Blackf- sorry, Crapfish, I'm pleased to tell you it's long been debunked. Again and again. orcinus-ocean.tumblr.com/blackfish
+Frida Nyberg Well fact number 1 is partially false: John Hargrove had the most experience with orcas and Seaworld. 2 They didn't make it seem easy, they say you have to be a very strong swimmer. They just stated (and it's true) that you didn't have to know a lot of about the animals. 3. They never stated that Seaworld had anything to do with Penn Cove. 4. They never stated that he was in psychosis...it was just presented as a theory. 5. No one confirmed or denied that he was. It showed two different viewpoints. One said he did and one said he didn't. 6. Partially true...but those attacks were not severe and proven to not be a case of aggression. 7. False...I have studied orcas and most do live to be about 50 or longer. Granted it an depend on the subspecies but it is not uncommon. 8. Is debatable...some experts say yes some say no. 9. Tillikum was isolated many times. It is even shown in Seaworls backstage of Believe. 10. While it is true they were not tiny newborns, they were still taken away from their moms and in the wild, they never leave their moms.
+Frida Nyberg Continued. 11. They may not have been screaming but they were making vocals and Katina story was told by a trainer who was there and Kasaka's story was told by a trainer who while not present, did hear about it from the staff. 12. Complete dorsal fin collapse does happen in less than 1% of killer whales (there are others with bent or damaged ones from fights but even those are not complete like Tilikum's) 13. Yes they are. They different sub species and Seaworld does not care about family ties 14. is partially true: While rakes occur in the wild they are less frequent because the whales are not in such tight spaces. 15. Is false. There has been at least one deaf due to aggression between orcas. 16. Yes they can swim 100s of miles a day in the wild 17. Seaword had a special interest in Tilikum because their other male had died. 18. Um, I read the press releases when the incident occurred and yes they did blame Dawn. 19. Again calls for speculation 20. Blackfish was trying to say that captive killer whales are violent and not wild ones (I am not going to say which is which) but they did not contradict themselves because they stated that captive orcas are stressed. 21. They were trying to speculate on why Tilli is the way he is and hence the three theories (which if you recall, different people interviewed had their own theories). 22. He does float lot in his pool and he was isolated for a while and yes they were only letting him out to do shows. 23. They are bored and while not all are forced to perform some are .
As soon as they caved to the very very few people that are against animals in captivity, this was the end of Geauga Lake. I am so sick of these companies caving to the few. Just like the sports teams that honor Indians in their name, changing their name for a few idiots. They don't care if the majority love the name, respect it, honor it, and think it is a great way to honor Indians and the history in America, nope, they have to cave to the complainers. I loved Sea World as a kid. Such great memories. I used to draw Shamu as a kid all the time in school. Stop caving to the few and the woke nuts.
SeaWorld does much more good than harm. Nobody else spending millions saving seals, turtles, dolphins, birds & whales. Thankful they fo the best they can. Have they made mistakes? Yes, but they at least try to educate people & care about marine life.
As a kid, every summer we would go to SeaWorld of Ohio back in the 90s. This brought back so many memories.
I miss you Shamu. ❤

+Frida Nyberg Thanks for clearing that up...I thought Kahana was a girl's name.

Kahana was a girl. And of course, above, I mean *with* Nandu and Tilikum. -.-

I believe the other orca is Kahana :)
@@seawolf0194 Yeah it is Kahana but Kasatka is also in this video
Keet wasn't born until later 93 I think

I miss SeaWorld so much.
I miss Sea World Ohio
Ohio had the smallest show tank
That what's I've always thought even as a kid visiting. I found this video researching how the orcas where keep during the winter
To be fair, they only kept them there for a couple of months and that may have played a role in why once the texas location opened the closed it down.
This isn’t namu or shamu I wonder who these 2 are
Randy West I Miss Soul Much Sea World of Ohio in Aurora, Ohio USA 🇺🇲.
NANDU AND SAMOA REST IN PEACE WITH TILIKUM :)
POOR SAMOA
Willian Ramos. Poor me
REST IN PEACE NANDU , SAMOA AND THE HERO TILIKUM , ORCAS ARE FREE NOW :)
TURN CAPSLOCK OFF FOR ONCE PLEASE
Get rid of the caps locks.
Knowing all we know now it's sad to see how people celebrated this.

A real person didn’t leave this comment did they?
I feel a little cheated that Sea World left, until Blackfish came out! Now, I will boycott Busch Beer!...
Angel Smith135 Busch hasn’t owned SeaWorld for over a decade.
