My thoughts while watching this movie: 1. Okay I have seen seeta aur geeta but I don't remember if seeta's guardians were as abusive as anju's because this is really tough to watch like this is so traumatic 2. Sridevi dancing is a beautiful thing to watch.. can’t believe she’s not trained because wow! What a dancer, what a performance. Her taandav dance in this + Meenakshi’s taandav dance in damini two of my favourite dance sequences ever 3. At 24:41 when she says arre tujhe toh main all-India star banke dikhaugi ahhhhhh what a meta moment love it absolutely love it.. yes queen you are an all-India star 4. This cut was sooo funny 32:54 5. "Main toh bass ek aurat hun jo mardo ki banayi hui duniya mei apne shart se jeena chahti hun aur dusro ki beer peena chahti hun" aaj kal koi aise lines nahi likhta filmo mei that's why bollywood is flopping 6. Love love love naa jaane kaha se aayi hai soooo much! 7. Okay why is manju soooo damn hot how is it that sridevi manages to be so cute and hot and dorky and sexy at the same time? 8. Oh my... sridevi and sunny have just impeccable chemistry this is fire 🔥 I think I might have a slight crush on sunny... sadly I don’t like his irl personality at all so there’s that. You’re only constrained to the status of a slight-crush sunny boy. What about Sri you ask? Well she gets the status of loml ofc! 9. Laughed out so loud at 1:19:07 lmaoooo she's sooo cute! 10. I absolutely love the lyrics “mohabbat mei naam kar ja tu mera naam leke mar ja” 11. 1:30:20 what a monologue!! i love this scene!! Go Manju!!!! 12. Manju's conscience is also as beautiful as Manju wow 1:59:04 13. Someone called gena rowlands "your favourite actress' favourite actress" and I think this description applies to Sridevi also (kajol, juhi, vidya balan, bebo, lolo have called sri their favourite). Sridevi you're one of the greatest stars of not only indian cinema but cinema in the world i don't know what to say that could capture what a wonderful heroine, actor, dancer you are. What a rare phenomenon you were. Absolutely gorgeous! I miss you sometimes. I find solace in knowing that I have your movies to watch and rewatch and find joy in. 14. And the movie ends. The reason they cut it out because it is uncomfortable to watch. Maybe more scenes are edited out? Dog scene? I have seen it on VHS in old days.
