Intense scrimmage. 0:43 that defense by Julius. Ingram shut down D Lo. Not a lot of buckets were made, which means the defense was good. If these highlights were full of open 3's and dunks I'd honestly be less impressed & more concerned because of the lack of defense. Good stuff

Randle makes terrible decisions when he tries to push the ball coast to coast. He has to calm down because its valuable that he is able to handle the ball well on the break but he always rushes in the paint and or turns it over

I was really scared when I saw this video yesterday, this looks like a high school team. But I stayed up and watched the summer league game last night and man it was fun to watch. Lakers fans the future is BRIGHT!!!

Randle might get the better looking stats, but Nance plays good D and makes the smart play every time, whereas Randle is sloppy AF on offense and plays no D. He's a good option off the bench, though. Starting lineup should be: D'Angelo, Clarkson, Ingram, Nance, and Mozgov.

It makes sense for warrior because the guard could just run knowing green will and can hit them if they are open, randle be like : ok imma bring the ball up this time so I can attack

Only things i noticed:
-D'lo looked a little stronger on that first post up, might really just put pg's under the rim all game next season lol
-Randles handle got a little tighter, still plays outta control but definitely some progress
-I would play with 5 larry nances on the court. Definitely seems better at that point forward role than randle, always makes good decisions & accurate passes. Very calm. And obviously all the intangibles
-Ingram is gonna make a lot better of a ball handler in the league than college & definitely can work in the point forward role.
-Lakers might have a huge "death lineup" in store. Dlo, JC, BI, Nance, Randle. All five guys can pass dribble shoot exvept randle cant shoot lol. Any one of those guys can initiate the offense. Obviously not as lethal from 3 as GS but this is a great starting point considering this is just their first year together. When the chemistrys all there... Woah

You have to admit even for young players they look like trash. A lot of them need to play in the summer league. They go even harder in there. I've been watching them and that and the D league seem to be more cohesive.

I know it's only a 7 minute clip, but I can tell Ingram has a lot of promise. He's vocal on the offensive end, and uses his length on defense well. Only problem I had was him not putting his body in between the rim and opponent on fastbreaks, which resulted in him recovering too late and receiving a foul. But should be cleared up before the season starts. He's looking solid so far.
I also noticed he meanders a lot and loses his man. Ya he plays decent help defence but he leaves the entire side open and just stares at the play.

+MJDay Can't tell if you're being serious or just one of those trolls 😂. But if you are serious, I just watch a lot of film. Then again, this is only a seven minute clip, and I would need to watch several games to get a feel for his game. I normally watch Duke games because they're my favorite team, but my hometown team Hawaii was doing well.

At 4:45 is the play D-Lo was talking about in his recent interview, where he had to ask Ingram if he blocked the shot. Ingram blocked it but he did it from pretty far away and D-Lo thought he just air-balled. You can here them talking about it after the play.

I think that the coaches are controlling what plays they run, and what to work on. I'm sure they are mostly evaluating, so of course the action won't be that smooth. What little I could get from this practice is that Ingram seems pretty comfortable defensively, and his length is pretty imposing to whoever he's guarding. I also like that he can bring the ball down the floor. Other than that, I think we'll just have to wait and see what Walton has planned for his team.

Some of you fellas really need to check the Summer League roster. Only 3 of those guys played with the Lakers last year. With the exception of Ingram and Zubac, the rest are invites. Temper your expectations- it's just a Summer League scrimmage, many of these guys just met like this week.
I hope all yall know practices usually run at about 50% intensity, especially in the NBA

It's just a summer leagues scrimmage but a "competitor" is what it is all about, the great ones want to kill you whether it is checkers or the NBA finals game 7. Russ worries me but I hope for progress. However, I do like the young core the Lakers have to build around. It's gonna take some times to get the wins to stack up but be patient with this young group and teach them(especially tell Randle to slow down and give the ball to a guard lol)then the wins and improvement will come. One last thing, Brandon Ingram please stop wearing the short shorts...thought I was back in junior high during the 70's here lol. Yeah, maybe I'm just an old fuck but give me the baggy shorts anyday over this skinny jean shit and now nut hugging ball shorts???/ ARGHHHH. LOL. Peace fellas.

but.. the summer game today was awesome. Russell looked like a leader. quick, precise, fearless... ice cold behind the 3 point line. I want to see Ingram get into the groove more. he's blending in with the rest of the team. need him to stand out like a #1 draft pick is supposed to.
