He is fascinating not only when he sings... Equally involving is watching him talk - he is so spontaneous, so frank and effervescent. His face changes expressions so quickly and easily. And his seeking for appropriate words to express his thoughts is extremely charming. Real "tenore do grazia" with a modern, present-day, neoteric touch... Unique, fabulous JDF!
Songelosodelzefiro Like you, I am a great admirer of Juan Diego. I was lucky enough to see him in this in September 2015. Having only previously seen him in comedic parts, I wondered how he would perform in a tragedy. He was utterly convincing, both his singing and his acting. Beautiful, and very moving.
Ifmusicbethefoodoflove Egc hallo, i Read you have See him in orpheus in the ROH and i say congratulation, i am also a Great Fan of him and this September he performed a concert Open air in Cologne/Germany and i confirm that he is a Great Singer and very charming.man.
Dieter Florian , Hello Dieter, I loved his performance in Orphee so much, that I have booked for La Scala! I only wish a DVD had been produced, as I think I would never tire of hearing the lovely music. Perhaps someone will put it on TH-cam! I am glad you enjoy his singing. He is certainly unique and very charming. A born entertainer.
Ifmusicbethefoodoflove Egc hallo from Germany, a good idea to bought Tickets for Milan, now he sings le Conte des Hoffmann in Opera de Monte Carlo, very successful of the Premiere at Last monday. In YT you can find a Trailer from this Performance from monaco very good in his wonderful Voice. If you like to See this Video of Hoffmann it is available on Channel MEZZO on jan 31th from operahouse Monte carlo on 20 h, pls enjoy it is great
11:46 I wish we could hear him doing some ancient music, he would be smashing in that as well! Anyway, it is such a pity that there is no bluray of the ROH's version of O&E with him. All he needs to do is sing the first lines of "J'ai perdu mon Eurydice" and tears are already rolling down my cheeks, it is so sad and so beautifully done, it transports you to another sphere. So in addition to having the most amazing voice he is the master of emotional honesty and of making that heart connection with the music, I never experienced it so strongly with any other singer. And he handles the (in my feeling) a little bit awkward interviewer so gracefully and gives thoughtful as well as entertaining answers.
Amazing singer wish perfect technique and lovely interview. I wonder why does he clear his throat so much and what was that "candy" that he ate, is it something for voice?
zura iashvili: why shouldn't he clear his voice? Do you see the doom of him as a singer because he clears his voice? The air on such a stage is very often very dry and he's talking all the time. He is talking about technique-so listen to him!- he knows about his vocal cords!

A fascinating man with an incredible life.
Orfee was really great. I saw it in London last october .The Royal Opera did a very good job and Florez was brilliant.
lucky you, I have the bluray of his Orphée at La Scala, it is so emotionally powerful and amazingly delivered, really intense. and beautifully sung.
The last bit really, really got me.
Amazing interview, he is amazing.
He is a great singer and avery sympathetic man
Szabo': and he has a lot of humor.!
Here´s a true artist
Estimado Don Diego, ud nació para interpretar Mozart como nadie!, cariñoso saludo desde Caracas🤗
If they don't hear you it's not their problem, it's YOUR problem!

What role did he played when he said it on 2:55 it wasn't clear.
+Jon Selisana Flórez talks about the role's 'tessitura', meaning the vocal range where most of the part lies.
