    Hey Rami,
    Have you used the IPhone Lidar to survey utility poles. I am curious how accurate you could get the length of a wood pole above ground and at what distance the iPhone starts to lose the ability to return points.

    fwiw as a professional Land Surveyor in the UK I am very impressed by your ability to communicate. Is the next step to correctly colourise the geo-referenced point cloud (to resolve the mis-alignment between camera and LiDAR sensor) by geo-referencing the photogrammetry solution and then combining it with the LiDAR. This might be why the apps I have tried so far give you one or the other and not a single point cloud.

    Doesnt the iPhone use a scattered light pattern of infrared red dots rather than lidar? So the reflectivity will not be optimised using the targets.

    Hi Rami. Is it possible that you didn't export the intensity values. When i export in PTS Format the Intensity Value is 0 for every captured point. After importing the data into cloud compare. The software uses the blue value as scalar field. Maybe you can check in your data. Did you use the 3D Scanner App in Lidar Advanced Mode, then processed and exported the data as PTS File?

    • @RamiTamimi
      @RamiTamimi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I use it in advance mode, the light intensity is export with a PTS extension, I’m not sure if it comes out with other extension files. I didn’t realize that when I brought this into Autodesk recap as an LAS file the intensity values were all zero.

      @@RamiTamimi Alright, thanks for the fast response. I wonder if it may happen because i use the iphone13 pro max. Can you test if you have intensity values when exporting in PTS with the iphone13?
