I have the same diagnosis and although I wasn’t an athlete I was a single mom of four small kids and I was all they had. Now I am a grandmother helping to raise my 6 month old granddaughter . Now I am battling overlapping autoimmune disease on top of the sjogrens, I can relate to everything she says. These health issues are not only physically challenging but mentally even more. I feel like she spoke directly to me.

I was also diagnosed with Sjogren disease and mine is really attacking my cells. In addition to the daily fatigue, I developed patches of vitiligo. This step in the disease is bad because now my self esteem is under attack. Stress and poor diet cause Sjogren to act-up! It comes on gradually and gets worse as you get older. It was misdiagnosed many times!
Noooo...balance is not something you find! It doesn't just show up in your life, its something you have to create. Make it your intention. Period! I'm 58 and this I KNOW is true.

You’re speaking and being opinionated on something that’s irrelevant, and I’m not trying to belittle or put you down, but I believe that’s something especially in the black community, that we need to get away from. Judging one another or critiquing. Most of the time our opinion doesn’t matter so just keep it to yourself. If you’re going to speak, just speak on all the positive things she presented or had to say. I went to state fair of Texas with my mom the other day and there was a young lady with some pretty revealing clothes on. My mom said ewww now why would she come out the house looking that way? I had to tell my mom, it may not have been your choice of clothing but it’s not your place to comment on it. If you don’t like it, stop looking. Keep it moving. Apparently that’s what makes HER feel good or confident so why should we tear her down? I just think we should look for the good or positive instead of being negative.

One time God said through Christ if it is part of the purpose I designed for you. God said if it is not part of the purpose I have designed for you, you will do that alone. I think knowing your limits means being honest with yourself. Most of us are just not honest. That is why we get burned out, full of anxiety and stress.
