actually they had a good comeback based on revenue but if you are a fan and you do know how they are for example BLACKPINK KTL and D4 are basically twin sisters. I will admit that the song was good and catchy, but to take a year just to make one song that they already made it's kinda disappointing.still at the end of the day it's just their opinion so we shouldn't take it to personal. p.s not a hate comment 🙂

in addition, side effects is not a generic title music wise, they choose a particular genre (that people might or might not like) and for its genre is a really well made song
may bebe they say the side effects of certain illnesses and those can cause ur head to hurt(at least i think so i could be wrong) so instead of making it more relaxed or a normal beat drop that’s pleasant to listen to they made a drop that is supposed to signify it hurting ur head. and also i’m pretty sure it’s isn’t the best song to listen to with ur earbuds or doing hw it’s better for performances or parties

The instrumental is meant to showcase the side effects, the dance embodies them. Everything works together becayse its been made so carefully well.
