I know it's overused, but Ashened is definitely one of the archetypes that actually needs a link-1 that can search the field spell. If I have a penny everytime I brick because I don't have access to the field spell, I can buy Konami itself
I’ve been playing ashened volcanic since ashened came up, it gave me a top 8 in OTS, and very good matches against meta like voiceless and snake-eyes i play 2 prosperity and 3 droplets for consistency and board breaks
You have some options, dropplets can pass through untargetable fields, going first in this new format u can go for the colossus emperor endboard because u can play 2 cards nemeses engine and search it with bonefire or during your combo with flame banshee, or end up in Little knight + emperor, or set up fields with masquerena veidos and the trap to go for a super poly like when they trigger the ritual summon eff so veidos resolve before the ritual have negates and the new fusion too so you clean monsters and backrow in one play, as any deck depends on what you draw but options are there, thats why i also play 3 prosperity for consistency
I'm more curious why he doesn't play volcanic emission which will either special emperor to the field or simply Target vetoes to burn your opponent for 3,000 before activating endless
Respect the combo and the time you put in to this. Ive been trying to make something like this as well. The unfortunate part is that not only are ashened bricks when drawn with volcanics but the cards interact very poorly with commonly played decks like voiceless which are immune to targeting effects like VBA. I will definitely try this build to see if my theory stands true.
Thanks bro! Ashened does have a long way to go before becoming competitive, but I think this version is the best the deck can do right now. Volcanics give the deck versatility, and gives the opponent bomb tokens you can use to fuse. It's not as powerful as Voiceless, but Veidos board wipe can catch voiceless off guard if timed right
You can play around with the extra deck too and try adding more super poly targets. Fire Eject is a good tech as well. It's not even a big thing that it's not good. It's a fun deck and that's fine. Or would be, if it wouldn't be a multiple hundreds $'s / €'s / whatever deck. It's making the game sour if we pay 300+ bucks for a deck that will win you maybe 1 match on your locals.

I was just playing ashened with a small (VERY SMALL) volcanic pack and I think I will give a try with something more similar to your. My was with 1 emperor 1 queen and 1 volcanic trap (the one which make burn dmg) the plan is to go for the otk thank to the 1500 dmg do to the special summon of volcanic and another 1500 with the trap. The remain can easily makes with 4500+ attack veidos or targeting non Fusion veidos on the enemies side before tributing him. The bridge ashened to volcanic is through banshee and the body needed for the evocation of emperor are made sending banshee with one material to the GY thx to the effect of Hero ashened. Btw. Ty again
I didnt realize when making the combo, but if youre playing TCG then you just need anything that adds a pyro to hand. The whole point is to get something to special summon with Blaze Accelerator, so a Volcanic Shell in GY, or a Sunlight Wolf Play, or a Fire Eject Package with Shell can all add you a Pyro to hand until Flamtongue comes out
Anything that can get a Pyro in hand honestly. Sunlight Wolf or Volcanic Shell + Fire Eject are good options. The whole point of Flamtongue is to get a pyro in hand to summon with the continuous spell.

Princess' lock only affects aslong as she is faceup so once you link her away your free to summon non fires again
