      Move to Florida and the weather won't be such an issue! Also, I work for FedEx Express here in Melbourne Florida and appreciate the kind words. I really love my job and most of my fellow delivery drivers also enjoy the job which makes its easy to go above and beyond sometimes.

    What about using a bidding system for the intake kits? If you want to maintain a low number of animals coming in but want to benefit from high demand, you could offer a set number of intake kit spots per month and let people bid for the positions. Might cause the income steam to be a bit more variable though, and/or the idea of bidding might be off-putting? But yeah that's my two cents!

    Great to hear that you are doing better and that you have settled abit.
    Passions are difficult, when the reptiles become a "chore" and drain all time and energy its understandable that the connection fades, especially when most of them are with you for a short period of time.
    It sounds like you could/should/might consider hiring someone to do the mundane tasks (like feeding, cleaning) connected to Emerald Scales so you can focus on the individuals that need more attention.
    Not telling you what to do or anything but your passion for reptiles might be rekindled if you try out some new/more difficult species like scrub pythons or false watercobras or eastern indigos or some larger monitors... just a thaught.
    Thanks for the great content you put out buddy.
    Cheers!

    that is so odd for me that fedex does so well for you!! Usually they're the slowest and least reliable for me (west coast USA) while DHL and USPS are like the easiest and nicest to work with. tbf I think its also due to international freight and what not. Anyways, congrats on this year!! Heres to 2022 being even better :)

    • @GoHerping
      @GoHerping  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they just put a lot of importance on their rushed overnight. Like, all of USPS's mail is "priority" so basically none of it is. But FedEx's slower services are nothing special, probably because they truly prioritizes the overnight (and they better for $50-150 per label)

    I'd be interested in a video about the house buying process. I haven't seen one.

    Your old HOA was ridiculous and id almost bet newer or with a bunch of old people and they just didnt like you because the one I live in is established and has been for over 25 yrs with not many old people except for a couple and I've never been fined for overgrown grass or anything for that matter. In fact the only time we were "picked on" was when we first moved in as everyone was because the HOA had no idea how to act right. Now they get it that we are all here for the long run and will keep up with keeping the yard and house nice once settled.
    Maybe we do just get a warning here and there but only when it involves every house in the circle. Like when it's time to clean the siding because every house is covered in moss and mold on one side because the sun doesn't hit that area. Or if all the shutters on all the houses are faded so it looks like section 8 around here until everyone paints them. Im actually thankful for the HOA because of that reason. It starts to look nasty after while when people don't do basic touch ups and upkeep. Also hiring someone to cut your lawn is cheap. 30 bucks a week where i live and its a richie rich neighborhoods which we are far from rich. Just know how to budget. Anyway.
    HOAs can be a pain in the butt id you don't do basic yard work and house upkeep or if someone doesn't like you and i think that was what your problem was in your rental. You just lived around too many Karens sadly.

    Hmm I think the reptiles are what bring in the bulk of the subscribers. Moving away from that could be a risky move.

      I agree but he'll obviously be uploading many reptile videos and his humour is incredible. As he already has an audience, videos on different topics will naturally reach a wider audience and increase his subs and hopefully views across the board.
