An amazing hike through an important shrine. I think that the gates stand for protection, and so did the massive efforts to build and erect them...For me, the entrance torii is a blessing, protection, and welcome at every sacred area...Nice to find decent refreshments along the way too...Big THANKS to Shinichi and Satoshi for being caring Guides!!!❤❤❤Stay Blessed Y'All!!!❤❤❤...
FUSHIMI INARI SHRINE Thankyou so much for this wonderful walk, I was completely transported to another time. Absolutely mystical for me. The colours , I know it's stunning in the autumn 🍁🍁🌲🍁🍁. KYOTO you've done it again Stunning. I 💚that Kafe wow ! .... ✔ Thanks IWATFF worth the trip.
OMG!! This Fushimi Shrine is very popular!! If I'm not mistaken this was the Shrine that was filmed in the movie: Memoirs of Geisha starting the beautiful Michelle Yeow and Zhang Ziyi!! It's very beautiful I certainly enjoyed the gorgeous views on the way up to the summit!! And the very many tiny Shrines along the way!! It's a great way to get in a walk and to stay fit!! Me...Myself I stay fit by riding my bike each night..as well as a 30 min floor exercise rountine!! It's hard but definitely worth it!! Overall this video was phenomenal!! Thanks 4 Sharing with us :)🇺🇸👏🇺🇸
We visited just a couple weeks ago! It was wonderful when you hit those bare stretches with just you, the gates and nature. I now know why Totoro enjoys the sound of rain hitting his umbrella so much - the sound is so pronounced through the mic! Really takes you there :) Beautiful video Shinichi! And at least there's not as many people when it rains!
i've always wondered if the people back then who built these primarily for worship purposes wouldve guessed it would turn out to be one of the most highly anticipated tourist attractions of the world. my friends and i have been planning to go to japan for the longest time but our plans were delayed abysmally by the pandemic. we hope to visit the shrine very soon :x
I went here some years ago in spring, around the end of the afternoon. It was really quiet, and it was sunny out. At the top, I saw a beautiful sunset over Kyoto city. This place is worth every second of being here.
I thoroughly enjoyed your walk in the rain - such a beautiful area! It’s pouring down buckets where I live tonight & I’m enjoying the sound of the rain splashing against my windows & pounding on the roof while watching you wade thru a cloudburst - the sound is fantastic. I am wrapped up in a duvet drinking warm tea - could not be more comfortable. You would’ve been very happy to get home, hot shower, dry clothes & Justin to snuggle with...he must hate it when you go away. Thank you for another very enjoyable vlog!
I was there last week of march 2019 right at the start of the cherry blossom season. It was pretty much packed with people. The scenic view of the city skyline around the halfway point was the highlight of my journey at the Fushimi Inari shrine.
Cutlery used in cafe is sooo nice n 💖💖💖 that view. 10 years ago when i was at the shrine n kyoto was relatively less touristy, there was not all these interesting shops nearby. Hope to be able to visit again soon!!
I visited the Fushimi Inari Shrine the last week of March this year. Beautiful place, the view of the city skyline around the halfway point was the best part.
I love these first person perspective walk throughs. Very interesting Shinichi, thanks for showing us ☺️☺️ Edit: I could spend all day looking at this place so don’t worry about video length ☺️☺️
Holy moly!! All the way up and through all 10000 gates!! Well done!! I think I went through less than 1000 gates before I called it quits! Thank you again for sharing your adventures and journeys! It's always such an utter delight watching your videos, Shinichi!
Another place on my bucket list 🤗 I think it might be even more enjoyable with fewer tourists. Indeed, it’s a very long path. I wish I would be as fit as I used to be. Your shoes must have been soaked wet. I haven’t watched a video in sunshine or snow yet from this place . I think but that the steps might be even more dangerous in winter but if the landscape is covered in snow the orange tori will shure make a pleasant contrast. The snack seemed unique. I would have liked that there is no music in the cafe but the interior looks nice.
So serene even or should I say especially in the rain. I only got as far as the pond but it was enough. This place is a photographer's dream. Thanks for sharing!
We just went there on 29 Oct! Thanks for bringing us back there again. Brings back nice memories. Even the rain didn't spoil it too much. During our 'endless trek' up, it drizzled abit too. We went up all the way to the top and back down in a few hours. It was dark on our way down. Quite spooky and amazing experience! Its quite a great workout for fitness enthusiasts as we were soaked with sweat at the end of the trek.
When I climbed it I got all the way to the top - to find it was so misty I couldn't see the view! But still worth the effort. Thanks for bringing back very happy memories. I'm glad it wasn't raining when I was there ☔
We've been there a few weeks ago and had perfectly fine weather. The way after the halfway point is nicer in the way that there are even fewer people, otherwise it's just like you said: all of it is very nice being surrounded by that much nature!
I enjoy your adventurous video of the shrine in the rain. It something we don't have here and nor do we go out in the rain for walks. You do look like you are getting a stairmaster workout. I just go to the gym. Is justin getting use of his umbrella now that it is the rainy season? I just can't believe how many people are out there in the rain. At the shrine do they keep peoples ashes there? I enjoyed learning about your unique desserts I have never seen before. Have to visit japan myself to experience it. Have a great day!
Great videos. If you could have some light background music, it would be perfect. Feeling a little pressure without background music and have to read all substitutes at the same time
Mercy. Thanks for doing this so I won’t regret not being capable! I’ve been curious about this shrine for years & seen photos of course, but nothing beats perambulation ☺️!
WOW ! I'm sure you were tired after such a long walk !! what did the writing on the posts ( orange ) say ? I'm curious ! and I'm sure you enjoyed the snacks they looked mighty tasty ! thanks for sharing an awesome day with us ! looking forward to more videos !
What a beautiful shrine, thanks for showing, Shinichi! I know Japan has tons of shrines, but this one is particularly stunning. Does the kanji on the columns have any significant meaning? I know you can't read them very well, but just wondering behind them. YUP I LOVE WALKING, best exercise for sure....oof I feel exhausted just by watching you guys climb up and down hahah
Wow, your so lucky to have a place like this. I bet the different seasons are magical. Does it cost money to get in? I hope your both healthy and happy.
What an extreme power place! i really wanna go there someday! and the cafe was such a cute darling! ♥ I'm having afew questions! what does the framed golden frame things on the tori's say and the writeing on the beams? also i've always wondered what all those little paper lightning bolts that hangs allover are? i wanna learn more about japan and the history and mythology and legends! loove your videos please post more! ♥
Beautiful walk in a amazing location! I was feeling sorry for you Shinichi and Satoshi while watching you both, walking in that heavy rain, wearing unpropriate footwear, I do hope that you didn't catch a cold!
I just knew..in Fushimi Inari have A Vampire grave inside the bamboo forest 😁 that was a secret ( i know from "indigo" youtuber ) thats so interesting 😊

This video got me hooked on your channel. Hope you do another one day that features the complete journey to the summit.
Fushimi Inari in the rain is just perfect ⛩️🦊🍁
Thanks for refreshing my memory !
Greetings from Taiwan 🙋🏽♂️🇹🇼
I've been there twice in good weather! But Fushimi Inari is beautiful, even on rainy days!
Thanks for the walk!

Surprising how difficult it was to find a video tour like this but it's perfect anyway. Kyoto is incredibly gorgeous.
Japan rain ASMR is my favorite. 🤎

One of my favorite places in japan!!
The rain makes it serene. Beautiful place.😊

Nice walk in the rain, very relaxing. Except for the low frequency droning sound starting around 2:00.

japan is so beautyful . I love it . I hope i can fly there to get see the awsome nature of Japan and the wonderful shrines. I love it sooooo much
This looks like one of the locations they used in Memoirs of a Geisha film! When the little girl was running through these gates.
I went to Kyoto for traveling a year ago.
This video makes me missing great places there😂🤣
I love these first person perspective walk throughs.
Very interesting Shinichi, thanks for showing us ☺️☺️

Thank you for this long video. It was worth it.
Wow that's a long hike up to the summit! I wouldn't be able to walk all that way especially not in the rain! Thanks for sharing Shinichi! 👍😎💜
Been there in the spring of 2019...it also rained, which was good, crowds were not so huge 😃 So happy to see the place again

Spectacular in the rain! Thanks to you both. This is by far the best video I’ve seen of this shrine.
Thanks. That looks beautiful. Being a senior, I wouldn't do it in the rain. Afraid to slip on the stone
I was there earlier this year and I loved it. Beautiful place 👍🏻😊
When I climbed it I got all the way to the top - to find it was so misty I couldn't see the view! But still worth the effort. Thanks for bringing back very happy memories.
I'm glad it wasn't raining when I was there ☔

It goes well with a gentleman when it rains.
I want to travel to Kyoto again.
I’ve been there! In 1994, not much has changed, that’s good! The weather, when I was there, super hot! I like walking! Well done!✌🏼❤️✌🏼❤️
I love your videos, they are so relaxing, plus they remind me of they time I visited japan, please keep doing this amazing videos!

Often businesses sponsor torii, so their names are written on them.
Amazing place,,,,
Beautiful ❤
The perspective is really great, thank you for the tour, I feel like coming back in my stay! 🤩👍
Saludos desde México Iove Japón
I like to go for walks and sometimes hikes as well Shinichi
I was here at 8 or 9 pm it was dark and scary af lol but went all the way up
I enjoyed your long walk. :)
I’ll do whatever it takes to visit Japan🥺
Do you go daily over there for your fitness??
What a beautiful shrine, thanks for showing, Shinichi! I know Japan has tons of shrines, but this one is particularly stunning. Does the kanji on the columns have any significant meaning? Actually the writing on the gates are sponsors. Each gate is sponsored by someone
Curious about those smaller tori gates. Are they on like family shrines?
Os lugares são muito lindos, parecem uma pintura, a organização dos lugares são algo que me chama a atenção, é tudo muito bonito!
I love this!
Wow, your so lucky to have a place like this. I bet the different seasons are magical. Does it cost money to get in? I hope your both healthy and happy.
It’s completely free
I was there in 2017 reach the top....walk trought the famous gates of memoirs of the geisha(movie and red book)also went to the cat cafe to rest out.
I ride my bike for fun and for shopping and all travel for fitness :)
Weather little annoying but this place is incredible beautiful
Que hermoso esta ese lugar. Que representaba este lugar. Un templo?
Muy buena condicion física. 🤸🏻♀️
Wandering what’s at the end of the shrine 🤔
Love to hike too but hate to hike in the rain. It's too "heavy".
Beautiful walk in a amazing location!
I was feeling sorry for you Shinichi and Satoshi while watching you both, walking in that heavy rain, wearing unpropriate footwear, I do hope that you didn't catch a cold!
Good thing that you just put subtitle... some vloggers are too noisy & it’s just annoying
Aww it’s raining
Its really does look like one in Inari Konkon koi iroha😅
I just knew..in Fushimi Inari have A Vampire grave inside the bamboo forest 😁 that was a secret ( i know from "indigo" youtuber ) thats so interesting 😊
I went to Fushimi Inari few years ago. And i had to give up at the middle. That shirin is to high and large!
