    They are so cute. They look like little toys you could stick in an Easter basket. Such great tips.❤️🤗❤️

    I could never not have a parrotlet they are THE BEST! I have one that is a little velcro bird and one who is a little more independent but is still really tame.

    Would you link the harness please? Or what is the exact listing name?

    • @ParrotBliss

      I don't know the exact name and the sellers change, so no link. If you search on Amazon for a parrot harness, it should come up.

    Looks like you're in Florida? I am too! I'm having the hardest time getting my bird used to me. I'm a stay at home mom and I have done a lot of these things for an entire month. Stay by the cage most every day, feed by hand, I started closing the cage so he can't go back in there out of fear and let him go back in once he's calm. He's so timid and still scared. He was in a pet store for a long time with no interaction. He's 19 months old. I sure hope he comes around soon.

    I’ve had 4 over about a 9 year period. Two suddenly got sick and died. I took one to the exotic vet and it cost me a grand total of $464.00 which included the exam, vitamin shot and liquid medication. I was floored by the bill. My parrotlet died a week later. I gradually paid off the bill but am now pretty wary of buying another one and having this happen again. 😢

    My love bird is 10 months old . Wont come to me . Only to my forarm for millet. When he sees fingers , dashes to them to bite. Seems to be very territorial in the cage. How can I calm him ?

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Keep offering love and millet. He probably had some bad experiences, so he just needs time to have new experiences, more of them, that will "outweigh" his past experiences. Keep being loving, you'll get him there :)

    Does that work for a parrotlet that you know anything about it . I purchase the little bird from someone who only had it a week and changed his mind. So I don't even know how many homes my parrotlet had.

      @@TDods21 harnesses aren’t used for tanning, although I suppose they could help. They are for being able to go outside. I have use them to tame a Conure as we go outside, so could be!

      @@ParrotBliss im not having a go at you but personally i think trying to get a harness on a parrotlet would be stressful but mine were bought from a pet store though ive never tried to grab them though......but im trying to bribe them with food......it might work better with a hand reared parrot or a bigger one though..... so yeah i guess it depends on the bird 🐦 🐦

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@angelrocco2024 yes, that can make a difference. And ultimately, it’s just about whatever works really well for any bird, parrotlet, or another one, so that the owner and the bird are both happy and can create a bond. I have some birds that I can harness, I have some that I can’t. It’s all about the bird!

    Mine loves being with me and snuggling up to my neck riding around on me. But he absolutely does not want to be touched :( he is only 6 months I have had him 3 months. He had been hand raised. but not handled in a while when I got him. He watches my female be handled step up head scratches sleep in my palm and still no hands allowed.

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  ปีที่แล้ว

      They do all have their own preferences - this may change but if he snuggles, you will probably enjoy scratching the female and having the male at your neck. That is wonderful!
