There’s a reason the cheapest base model gen is a 2.0t. Yes they’re fun and considerably easier to make power with but the 3.8 feels like the engine the chassis was made for. Originally wanted a 2.0 but I’m super happy after driving both back to back and choosing a 3.8 ultimate.
2.0’s ftw. 3.8 is definitely faster off the lot..but the money it takes to get real power from a 3.8 is crazy. 2.0 with a tune and big turbo? No brainer for me.
My brother has had 4 2.0Ts!!! I own a 2015 3.8 Track and my brother is always shocked at how powerful and linear that car is. And I still get better MPG than 2.0s 😂. Only downside is NA these make a max of 350HP to the wheels NA but they still pull on 5.0 mustangs and scat packs (Rspec luis and AlmightyBK2 both have a youtube channel with 340 whp NA 3.8 monsters)
Spoke to the owner’s, very nice. Said it was on 5lbs of boost, custom made, i forgot the exact hp number. Said they wanted to keep it reliable but still fun since its stock block. Definitely a dream build
