In this QOTW we answer Natalia's question about why her seemingly calm and obedient Shar Pei is randomly biting. For many owners, they misunderstand the signals they send out daily - signals that create possessiveness, overly protective behavior, and ultimately dangerous dogs. Things as seemingly benign as unearned and excessive affection, access to personal space and furniture, and big gaps in rules, structure, and discipline. In the QOTW I offer some insights into these dynamics as well as what to do work to turn these unhealthy, dangerous dynamics around.
