I love it when the boss activates his DM after leaving hitstun once, while also having a shield that can only be broken with a move that you need a reaction command to use that only combos into itself
What he's doing, by my understanding, is using magnet to stagger him out of his combo. That probably is supposed to give him a chance to get a combo on him, but it's too risky with how finicky Xaldin is in phase 3. Instead, he waits for the stagger to end so that Xaldin will want to Revenge against him, which is his Jump attack, a move much easier to counter. Revenge manipulation is a very powerful technique in KH2, but I do admit that I'm still learning a lot of how to get really good at it. It takes a lot of knowledge on any boss that you're trying to use it on, but if you get it right, you can perfectly predict what moves they'll use against you and counter them appropriately.
@@SonicMaster327 ohhhh that explains how i accidentally skipped his DMs in crit level 1, so this works on the data version too right? Just get him into his revenge value so he always counters with the falling ispears?
@@burritowyrm6530 It should, yeah. But also his data version might have different AI that decides to do different moves, so you may need to relearn those patterns. I've never done any of data org. on a level 1 critical run, so I don't have many tips for you there unfortunately. I do wish you the best of luck though, that is a feat I dared not to try.

KH3 might have sucked in a lot of areas, but at least admit that the data fights in that game was 100 times better than the ones in KH2.

There are levels to this.
Unskiled players focus on dodging and staying away from the Boss, but the key is to stay as close as you can and find the openings to counter-attack.

Quick run into the wind tunnel during the DM makes this fight so much easier
How do you get him to do the laser attack after the DM? I tried using magnet, didn't work.
How does magnet make that difference? I’m on proud mode and got him down to two life bars one time but I don’t understand the vantage of magnet
