Vegeta: Is That The Beta Male Bulma: No Gt Just Got Here Vegeta: Oh God Their Breeding I Swear The More Only Thing I Despise More Than Gt Is Evolution Ahhhhhh 😠😠😠
The thing I hate about Chi-Chi is that she regressed as a character in super. In Z she was happy to train Goten and let him do what he wants but as of Super she's back to acting like she did with Gohan. She feels no different from early z now.
Now, THAT's a fair shake on her characterization, much in the same way Vegeta has to bring out aspects of his old personality, and not in a way that is understandable of just being core to a person or his regression is a plot point. It is just among many of the characterization problems in Super, really.
@@reyonXIII I feel that the stuff about Vegeta is a bit overblown, he's just back to being competitive again while recognizing that Kakarot will likely always be ahead of him.
Goku also suffered a similar fate. By the end of Z he was still a goof ball but he was clearly an ADULT goof ball. In Super he's a self absorbed blithering idiot to the point where it puts his life, his friends lives and the entire universe at risk multiple times.
@@KaiserMattTygore927 Yes, Vegeta's NOT as bad. It will all still nag at him, but his Buu Saga development has definitely stuck. He can't stop being envious or competitive towards Goku, no matter how much he accepts Goku IS stronger than him, but he's not going to make it as personal as he used to, and is willing to eschew his Saiyan-centric tendencies when he knows, oftentimes more than Goku, is just going to get in the way of getting the job done, rather than letting said tendencies aid in keeping all he loves safe.
Chichi when she first was married to Goku she was more playful as a character. I miss her as a warrior, her feats shouldn't be underestimated so heavily
I honestly don't mind Chi Chi most of the time. I think more than anything else, she just gets too many lines where she's screaming. The only time she runs me the wrong way is when the literal earth is in danger and she just says no to Gohan or Goten trying to help. Like, its never, "Let your father handle it," or "You're only useful as long as your fusion with Trunks lasts," it's just flat out no, even when Goku is requesting help from them. Instead explaining why she says no, it's always "Your homework is more important than the earth being exploded," which has happened, and she knows it's happened. That's when she annoys.
@@RedDragonForce2 I totally agree! Gohan was treated badly but I think he's writing is coming back because he's training, so hopefully let him get a good saga
I loved the high school arc. Gohan was really fleshed out. For me I just wanted a bit more about gohan's high school years. Actually, how did Videl's friends react to her dating/marrying Gohan since Videl is one of the strongest fighters while gohan is a pipsquick nerd. (In their POV)
dint they see gohan transform into super saiyan (kebato's request) in the 25th tournament after they pieced together it was him and called him out which gohan responded with i dont need these glasses anymore i guess.
@@gadaddo4794 I'm sure it's also elsewhere, but from the scouter feature in Legacy of Goku game series, he got the 3rd eye from intense meditation focusing on his pinneal gland and achieving enlightenment. He looks weird but Tien is human
i understand that completely but you gotta admit hanging around Goku and his family as much as Krillin does is bound to beef you up whether you like it or not and with him being married to 18 now, she isn't gonna let Krillin slack off too much.
Here's mine: the power creep should have stopped after the Freeza Saga. The most interesting elements of the Android/Cell and Buu sagas did not rely on the villains actually being significantly stronger than Freeza or the reveal that there were sequels to the Super Saiyan transformation. In fact, I would argue that the Cell Games, which doesn't feature the more interesting tactics and quirks that were seen earlier in the saga, is mostly a step down from the earlier episodes. I *loved* the early ideas of the Android/Cell Saga: enemies that could absorb the ki blasts, neither side being able to sense the other leading to a lot of cat and mouse fights, Cell starting weaker than the heroes and having to stealthily murder entire cities to level up, Tien using the physical properties of his strongest attack to keep a much stronger enemy in place, etc. The Cell Games part was fine, but it was also a lot like the Freeza fight: the heroes are against a superior opponent. The villain kills one of the heroes, which inspires another to reach a new level of power. This character can now defeat the villain. They wish everyone back, but Goku refuses the wish. I did like the climax of Gohan's character arc...I just wish it didn't happen in the least interesting part of the saga.
I hate the whole power creep thing, yes I get it, you need to one up yourself, but when cell and the androids showed up, it wasnt needed, it's even done in the universal survival arc, even though I like the pride troopers in the arc, I really dont like the power creep in it.
People talk about how the tingly back thing cheapened super saiyans, I personally think is was already made dirt cheap by two children developing it without any real training, hardship, or fanfare. Seriously kid Trunks and Goten cheapened super saiyan far more that anything done in super.
This is why Goten and kid Trunks are all but forgotten with the only fanfare they get coming from R34 artists. they have no substance and ended up being gag character that only served to fuse into the stronger Gotenks who would just job until Goku (and sometimes Vegeta) showed up. The problem I have with U6 Saiyans is that they, like their design, are hyper streamlined Saiyans. think about it, their race has long since evolutionarily phased out tails, the thing Toriyama got tired of drawing and got rid of; they are galaxy renowned race of heroic warriors part of the intergalactic police force and with Cabba being picked to represent U6 in the U7 vs U6 tournament, which puts U6's Saiyans on the same level as Goku and Vegeta at base thus skipping most any need to build them up; and they have an easier time analyzing the means to initiate super Saiyan and advance its stages which can easily be explained away with the slight difference in genetic makeup, which eliminates the need for an arc to show the development of their abilities. just because there is an explanation doesn't mean it's a good explanation especially for the narrative. take StarWars for example (and now we aren't getting into Z-cells), midichlorians aren't that big of a change when you realize it doesn't change anything that HAPPENS in the original trilogy but then you realize that some of the message that trilogy tried to convey get become muddled by this "it's all about who you're related to" mentality the prequels introduced. in the same way, Dragon ball took the cheap way out with its characters by providing excuses to speed through many plot points people would have loved to see, which I'm not gonna blame the current author for specifically because for all I know he was told to hit A, B, and C plot points by specific dates or told by editors that they should go through training arc for the new Saiyans, mirroring Goku and Vegeta, in order to get to other parts.
@@thesymbiotenation.4552 i honestly kinda feel bad for them. they're the result of the tonal direction toriyama was going with the Gohan school arc and after the gag slapstick school fun fell by the wayside the kids weren't left with much besides fusion and being assholes.
Did it really I mean gohan went super at 10-12 and them at 8&9. Also both were trained by their parents and underwent gravity training. Plus goku and vegeta being super when they were born could've had an effect
Unpopular opinion: the show got power creeped into the point where there are no weight to the stakes. Pilaf gang should have been used more. The red ribbon army should have returned in force during z to give something for the humans to do that has weight and consiquences while the sayjinns do Big Important Things. Edit: and I too love pixie cut vadel. Chichi being annoyed is absolutely justified. Goku is a layabout. Jiren is a non character personality wise, but I love the character design. First arch goku I think is to give a good contrast to how his later iterations and to be the thing everyone reacts to. Blue evolution.... Should have been called Royal Blue because it is vegettas form. Filler shows what everyone is up to and gives non sayjinns a chance to do SOMETHING.
Jiren's design is simple, unimaginative... And that works in Jiren's favor. Now, if only they did his arc justice
4 ปีที่แล้ว +13
@@Darkdayzz Jiren is basically "take what you usually imagine an alien to look like, now make it swole instead of scrawny". That is at least a little creative, if you ask me.
I feel the same about Chi-chi. As a kid I hated her thinking she was a road block to the fighting. Now that I'm older I understand that she's a mother, with a husband who fights and leaves frequently, trying to make sure her sons have the best future possible. I'm not 100% with most of her choices but now I see why she does it.
Unpopular Opinion: Jiren's backstory isn't _that_ bad, just misunderstood. If you look at it, Jiren's story goes very similar to Goku until his family dies (or, well, replace "family" with Krillin to get a similar thing). Goku had 2 things Jiren didn't have: His Friends, and the Dragon Balls, and I think Goku would have turned out to be very similar to Jiren if he didn't have those 2 things. what makes the fandom hate it is simple: It turns him into a generic badly-written villain (or, well, hero for that matter) and basically makes him Uchiha Batjiren. Also, Vegeta's SSBE form is great, just great. ...but the thing that makes me hate it's metaphorical guts is the _pupils._ They don't fit Vegeta, y'know?
Oh... I watched this from a video named "The strength of son Goku" and it said that Jiren and Goku is the same but Goku just had Dragon Balls and Friends,Cause Goku without friends just wants to be stronger while Goku with friends and Dragon Ball Strength is different,Goku at Cell saga affected him because of the Heart disease,He realises how the world was destroyed without him/protector so he chose Gohan... Whether he likes it or not... Now We go to Majin Buu and Gohan didn't train,So Goku was Kind of- disappointed,But good thing he learned fusion and he saw Potential from Trunks and Goten so he teaches him that,Now Gotenks loses... And Ultimate Gohan comes back, Goku hoping that Gohan can defeat Buu.... Then Gohan failed,Then in the end he realized that he can't rely everything on his students/son sometimes he also needs to be there for them,Now Goku on defeating Kid Buu wished for him to be Reincarnated as a good guy,And remember that Goku took him as a student? Yeah Goku in GT is at least in his 60's his Age of youth is coming to an end *Unless the 1000 Years of life Elder Kai gave him has 1000 years of youth in it

@@bandabanana4939 you need some better formatting. That comment was somewhat difficult to follow.
Unpopular Opinion: I think early Buu saga Gohan is the best Gohan in the series. He a genuine good guy just trying to have his normal school life but also a corny Sentai hero on the side. And I would have loved if him and Videl had more slice of life team ups.
I think Gohan becoming a scholar instead of a pure fighter is a good thing. Gohan not being a creature of pure rage and a power fantasy is evidence to me that the future that Trunks fought for had weight. Not only that, but in a weird way I think that it evidence of Goku's development as well. Similar to real life, parents, even without any intention of malevolence, can lead their kids into uncomfortable corners, and Goku using Gohan to defeat Cell, could have been the start of a miserable violent cycle, especially for Gohan. Goku then recognizing that he had no idea who his son was, sacrificed his love of fighting to allow Gohan to be his own person. Scholar Gohan is the result of that weighty decision. (Granted, it could be argued that he's simply fulfilling Chi-Chi's wishes, I admit.) It just kinda tells me, that DragonBall Z had a point, up to the Cell Arc anyway.
Despite Chichi being an Educational Mama, she had a point that Gohan needs education for a stable job and lifestyle outside of fighting. Plus he married Videl and have a daughter Pan. He has to support his family and be a responsible man.
@@TheWarmachine375 Exactly. Gohan MIGHT be able to provide by investing into similar powerman/showman routine as Hercule, but I think it would make him absolutely miserable. Not to mention, he'd be putting a target on his back. Going into academia, something which he seems to be very passionate about, makes 100% sense.
@@ReissumiesSF Agreed. Gohan deserves to have a normal stable life outside always fighting and training. I mean he fights to protect his family and also train to always stay in shape and be healthy.
I agree with you. Though at the same time, I can understand why some people feel a bit frustrated about Gohan being irrelevant. But I feel that has less with him being a scholar and more with them not knowing what to do with Gohan.
I like Gohan being a scholar. If he doesn't have to fight, WHY should he?? Granted, he probably should have kept it up more.. It is a bit unrealistic that he would assume Goku and Vegeta would be enough when they weren't for Cell. But people shouldn't expect him to enjoy fighting like Goku. He never has and it's taken away a lot of his childhood
Unpopular Opinion: Broly being able to destroy a Galaxy in the original Broly Movie makes literally no sense and completely ruins the established power scaling of the characters. Original Broly is ultra wank.
He didn't actually destroy the south galaxy. That's just funimation trying to one-up him. The whole fight took place in the south galaxy. He attacked it, yes.
I agree entirely on Videl's pigtails and Super Saiyan Evolution/Royal Blue. Giving Vegeta his own unique form is great, and I think the pixie cut works for her better. Here's my unpopular opinion; I really like the Faulconer soundtrack. Some of his tracks were really good. Vegeta's themes, Gohan Angers, Krillin Powers Up, Piccolo''s Theme (A little help from a friend), the SSJ3 themes, Cell's Theme. I realize it's not the original, but it really fit the tone of the series for me. Not all of them are good, of course, but there are some serious highlights. Rock the Dragon is just a guilty pleasure, though.
My unpopular opinions: The power levels need to be scaled back because the story is pointless when literal gods are the only worthwhile opponents anymore. Super Saiyan Blue Evolution should have been called Super Saiyan Royal Blue. I actually like jackass Pan. It's nice to have someone who's kind of a jerk to balance out Goku and Trunks being goody two shoes. She's Misty to their Ash and Brock. The characters should start using actual martial arts again instead of just hitting people really hard and firing lasers. Finally, Zamasu is a good villain. I like that he actually has reasons and convictions behind his actions instead of "I want to rule/destroy/eat the universe!"
Could definitely do with more martial arts. I mean come on, Krillin Yamcha Tien and Master Roshi all worked their arses off, training their minds and bodies beyond the heights of mere mortals. Surely they can work around simple power imbalance!
I do not hate that Gohan stopped training after the Cell saga and again in the Buu saga. Fighting never made him happy, studying and being with his family does. If he were gung-ho about fighting strong opponents and training he would be just like every other character in the series and thus wouldn't be my favorite. His approach to fighting is the most different among all of them; he has the power to protect his family, so he has the responsibility to do so. He's basically the Spider-Man of Dragon Ball (coincidentally also my favorite super hero), just with an anger streak.
the tingly back didn't ruin super sayins it was ruined by goten becoming a super sayin by training with chichi same with kid trunks. To me super sayin isn't super anymore. Side note 3rd form freeze is my favorite.
True, but at least it stopped there. Sure Goten and Trunks got SSJ easily, but they didn't get 2 out of nowhere and it took some special fusion for them to even get anywhere near 3.
The difference, is that they didnt level up to other levels of saiyan, they kmly reached some saiyan. At this point we already knew there are forms beyond super saiyan so them going saiyan wasn't that big a deal
@@husariuspl117 Goku never really "learned" how to go Super as opposed to flying, it's more of a strength vs technique kind of deal but they're so wildly out of scale that it does appear odd (Note: I'm not saying Super Saiyan is a strength related form, I'm just using strength as a placeholder)
@@SuperShadowify I'm fine with Future Trunks being into Mai. They're both adults. Them trying to push it with Kid Trunks is a big "hell no" from me though. That's creepy.

Goku vs Caulifla/Kale and Caulifla/Kefla in DBS episodes 112-116 is one of the best fights in the series (for similar reasons to the Broly fight in DBS Broly) and people sleep on it way too much because of the Jiren fights. The brilliant animation, the way the fight continually escalates, how powerscaling is reasonably clear throughout and especially the bit of two-on-one action when Kale jumps in...I LOVE IT
@@HyperSonicX the first fight is good (when he fights jiren, toppo and dyspo) but the second one is really bad imo. Its just a lot of those random fast punches you cant even see and ki blasts. I prefer fights like the goku cell one that are very dinamic and you can see the punches and have good choreography
He might actually be, because 17 wasn't really that strong. He was only good at not getting knock out of the ring and not having ki to sense, that and barrier
I can't stand Gotenks and he feels utterly wasted as a character. Even now since he's pretty much used as comic relief and for padding time. I don't exactly care how strong he is. He let's his power get to his head WAY too much and he's too focused on looking cool than getting the job done. If you aren't mature enough to put that strength to use you may as well not even have it. I understand he's meant to inherit all traits of Trunks and Goten, including their flaws, but I feel at times that's ALL he's made up of; Their Flaws. ESPECIALLY Trunks.
Here’s mine: 1. Magic is pointless and either shouldn’t exist in dragon ball or should be less involved in the show overall. I mean what’s the point of having magic if you have Ki/life force. 2. SSGSS is dumb and ruins the charm SSG had. SSG should just be the TOP transformation (until Ultra Instinct) but harder to master after B.O.G.
I like magic being a separate thing in the DB realm. It adds variety. But I whole heartily agree with your second point. SSG should be top. Plus, I hate the idea of SSGSS having blue hair. It doesn’t make sense. I always thought the blond hair of super saiyan fit. It was like the unique ki of super saiyan “bleached” the users hair temporarily. It made sense to go from black to blond/gold. The reddish color of SSG also kind of makes sense, though its pushing it. Blue just doesn’t fit. The green tint of LSS Broly makes sense too, as its not pure green but yellowish green, like his super saiyan form is corrupted. Man I can’t stand the SSGSS form and especially its blue hair.
I strongly disagree with both JRC and Fernando stance on Ki & Magic. They should stay the way it is because without either one we wouldn't have Iconic Moves, Moments, and Battles. Ki & Magic are the very components of what makes Dragon Ball, DRAGON BALL in the FIRST PLACE. It's like taking the Dragon Balls themselves away of what makes the series exist when it comes to Establishing & Utilizing the Lore. I can understand JRC's stance but we have Babidi's Family, the Demon Realm, Baba The Fortuneteller, & even the Dragon Balls themselves (they have Magic and/or Spiritual energy within them). But I do agree with the whole SSGSS/SSj Blue, I wanted to see SSj God (Red) to be explored/utilized alot more.
Nowadays it isn’t unpopular but saying anything positive about GT would get you run off the internet back in the day. You’d literally get mobbed. People would deny or ignore your points. Report you. And straight up lie and get even more aggressive when you pointed out the lies.
In all honesty, GT isnt that bad. I actually liked it a lot. I put if off for a long time because of the hate it got, but when I watched it, I actually really enjoyed it.
I clearly thinking about it more than Toriyama, but "tingly back" makes some sense with Uni 6 saiyans, but their lost their tails as a genetic trait, but certianly used to have one, given the importance of the tail in Ozaru transformations, it's not that unusual to have a sensation in the spine for power ups in tailess saiyans.
9:24 finally someone that I respect shares this opinin with me! Also my unpopular opinin is that Great Saiyaman is pretty good, I like that Gohan much better than Ulitimate or Mistic Gohan, after gaining said power it felt like he haven't grown at all since Cell saga.
If Gohan is going to go back to fighting, he's going to reawaken that power and end a fight in as little time as possible instead of messing around. Otherwise he'll be an eternal jobber like Yamcha.
Agreed. I would have liked it if the races of U6 would look & behave almost completely opposite to those of U7. U6 Saiyans: they where a good start, being all heroic and having short scrawny appearances in comparison to U7 Saiyans, though I would have preferred if they knew about the Super Saiyan transformation, just not all the powered up forms after that (and give them tails of course). U6 Frost: he should've been a good guy, maybe like a reformed bad guy or something like that (like in What if Frost was ACTUALLY Good?). U6 Namekians: they should have been darker counterparts to the peaceful U7 Namekiens, if not straight up evil (similar to Demon King Piccolo and his Demon clan, or Lord Slug and his Slug clan).
Yeah. I quite like the sleeker designs of the U6 trio, but the lack of a tail just feels off to me. That was always one the things that endeared me to their U7 counterparts, so to see it gone is kind of disappointing. The lack of a tail just makes them look more like generic humanoids. Rather than anything special or interesting. (Although, Saiyans _aren't_ that special nowadays. So, whatever.) HFIL, I'd go even further and say that the DBS counterparts of Pan and Bulla should have tails, as well. Surely Bulma or her dad could develop some way to counteract the whole Oozaru thing. And Vegeta would probably be willing to train them in how to control it. Also, to see a blue fuzzy thing wrapped around the arm of the Prince of all Tsunderes would be the cutest thing ever.
I like the U6 Saiyans not having tails, in fact I wish they couldn't go Super Saiyan. It would have been a nice contrast, make them a race of ultimate Gohans where they had gone beyond transformations and for them it was all about training for skills and power. Goku would have been in technique thief heaven.
Yup Frost should have been good and have either a 5th form or like how Ftieza did he should have evolved but to show how humble he is it isn't gold it is silver or bronze
Following your point about Evolution: I like the "Bulma" character Granted, she has nothing to do with Bulma But a girl who construct her own high-tech guns that affect Ki users and wants the Dragon Balls so she can have a unlimited energy source? That's badass and nails it in regard to her motivations and place in the story She has some beautiful anime-style fanarts as well and I think the actress did a good job if you pretend for a second that she's not playing "our" Bulma Had she been a separated character in another media, say one of the videogames or a filler arc, she would likely be loved by the fans
Agreed. Also, it’s an adaptation so I wasn’t expecting her to be a copy of the original Bulma. Also, we don’t get awkward moments like her wearing a playboy bunny suit for no reason.
I wish Videl got to become good enough of a fighter to become the strongest fully human fighter, because she almost instantly understood ki. She learned the concept of ki very quickly. She could have become a useful asset, but I'm fine with her raising Pan.
@Andre Ricardo Bryant Not fully, because 17 and 18's bodies may be human, but they're still modified with the parts that Gero put inside of them, so they're technically not 100% human. They're cyborgs.
@@raive2this818 Your opinion of Videl leaves me incredibly miffed. Because yeah Videl learned the concept of ki rather quickly. So I don't see why she doesn't master it in between raising Pan. Especially when 18 is shown to be both a mother and a fighter...
@@DemonicRemption Exactly. Videl learned how to control her ki to fly in an extremely short time. It took Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, and every other strong human fighter years before they could do that. Even Goku needed the flying nimbus to fly all the way until he fought Vegeta for the first time. Videl only took a few minutes. Videl probably had to potential to be the strongest 100% human, non-android/non-cyborg, fighter.
@@raive2this818 I think Videl stared into the abyss and was frightened when the abyss started back. Think about it, she was quickly introduced into a magical world long forgotten and only saw the good parts of it until she got horribly brutalized and THE WORLD ENDED in the timespan of a day. Anyone would shy away from getting stronger if their introduction was Spopovich and Majin Buu.
@@DualEdgest I completely understand that. It's just a shame that Videl didn't learn everything she could about fighting. She did have the potential to be one of, if not THE strongest human character in the show.
I’ve gotta agree with the tingly back thing. It’s really just how Cabba explained the feeling of the form. If anything, people should be mad about Goten and Trunks getting Super Saiyan without any training. I’d argue that the U6 Saiyans getting the form makes a lot more sense. I actually like all three of her hair styles, from the pigtails to the pixie to the current doo in Super. Super’s filler was honestly hilarious. We should never forget the baseball episode, that was one of the funniest things ever.
An opinion I don’t see: Vegeta shouldn’t have gotten Super Saiyan (at the point that he did) As cool as SS is I think it would have been cool if they had expanded on Vegetas mastery of Ozaru instead as a way to keep up with SS. Ozaru is a 10x and SS is a 50x so Vegetas hard work to catch up with Gokus unique power would have been cool to see even if it was just until the Cell Arc. Vegeta and Trunks being SS doesn’t really mean anything, and Vegeta going to Babidi for SS in the Buu arc would have worked a little better imo. Also the idea of Vegeta teaching Trunks how to tap into their Saiyan history while Goku teaches Gohan to go for a more vague power would be a cool contrast
I’d so love to see Vegeta in Ozaru form while on Namek fighting frieza. I’m bummed that Toriyama removed the tails. Toriyama could have explored that aspect of the saiyan race further.
I think that this anime is only becoming a fight fest with no ryeme or reason. Dragon Ball to me was a martial arts anime about this genuinely good guy reaching out and touching people, while overcoming adversity with good old fashioned training montages. Super Sayian was only introduced well over the half way mark of the Manga run. Despite that, it was all about the characters overcoming hurdles, Gohan finding his determination, Vegeta finally coming to grips with his role as a father, Trunks finally becoming a confident man to grasp the future in his own right e.c.t. Each story arc was about character's overcoming hurdles with transformations accompanying that. For example: the Black Arc started off with a fantastic premise, but it rapidly degenerated into a series of fights and ended with probably the most climatically unsatisfying ending impossible. Plus Trunks kinda sat in the back seat of this entire arc, which made all his "random" transformations and abilities frankly forced, rather then earned through personal character development. Plus he regressed from this confident man to relying on Goku and Vegeta to carry his arse through the arc. The TOP arc? Logically speaking Jiren stepping up to the plate after defeating UI Goku should've been a changing point in the narrative to finally establish the primary antagonist that no one could come close to beating. This should've encouraged cooperation between even the universes to play into that theme of reaching out and bringing out peoples better nature. Instead; it continued the fight fest for probably at least 10 more episodes then it aught to. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of times where I see glimises of it, the last episode of TOP was simply incredible, I just wished there was a lot more of this character development I once seen, instead we got a lot of super stupid. XD
The Universe 6 Sayians having an easier time of acquiring Super Sayian could also be explained by Vegeta knowing exactly what to do/say to Kabba to draw out the transformation during the Beerus/Champa Tournament whereas the Universe 7 Sayians had to figure it out all by themselves.
Seven V Maybe they either outclassed or was on par with pretty much everyone (other than destroyer gods who don’t generally leave witnesses to their displays of power) so they never really had the necessary exposure to an absolutely overwhelming amount of power being output. Because if you look back at the Characters who gain Super Sayian only gain it after witnessing overwhelming power all most like their bodies are learning from their exposure. And perhaps age plays a role too. Like maybe it’s easier to tap into if your body is still developing. Similar to how humans learn Language (I.e the younger the person is the easier it generally is for them to learn a new language whereas an adult trying to learn the exact same language with the exact same studying materials will struggle)
i would have to disagree personally i feel like the whole bit with the 6 saiyans gaining super saiyan easier is a cop out to make them that way and removes the power gained through struggle that dragonball is about its basically giving cabba kale and caulifla the easy way out without working towards their strength on their own now sure one can make the excuse for cabba being a u6 mercenary and taking on strong foes but he should have become super saiyan then or at least felt the sparks from it kale is she brolly and caulifla has no excuse since she's never been off world and fighting strong foes prodigy or not goku and vegeta and gohan and trunks all had to work for their power so she should as well
If GT Pan did something--ANYTHING--other than complain and become the problem that Goku and Trunks had to fix, I'd care. Her being basically kid Goku at the end of Z, I loved; I loathed nearly everything about GT Pan. She didn't even go Super Saiyan, and don't give me that, "she's a kid" excuse, Goten went Super Saiyan at the age of *SIX.*
Pigtails Videl is best, in my opinion, because she has an easily recognisable silhouette. Short haired Videl is just another short spiky haired character in a universe full of them.
I love both hairstyles but prefer the pigtails for this reason. A lot of the important characters in Dragon Ball have short spiky hair (or are completely bald). Her pigtails looked a bit more unique.
I can't tell you the joy I had that the "Tingly Back Feeling" was your first choice. Universe 6 had to try to catch up with GODS using the power levels of the Cell Saga (or Broly movie, with Kale). ALSO WHAT?! PIGTAIL VIDEL IS 'MEH?!' I mean, overall, I'll agree that the pixie cut is a better look on her, but I still love the pigtails and can't say they're 'meh.' Love your videos man. Keep up the good work (maybe when renewing those vows in a few years you could have some wiggle room on including some Dragon Ball themes, eh?)
honestly, I really like hearing fresh opinions when it comes to things like dragon ball. While I dont agree with all of your opinions, you support them with interesting points, and I can respect them
Unpopular Opinion: Freeza's dub voice in Z was FINE. Sure, he had a voice ACTRESS, but she did a damn good job (and probably needed loads of water during/after every session). It's been twenty years and that laughter still sends chills up my spine. Also, he's an alien. You expect aliens to have voices that follow the expected human binary? I didn't. That's not to say I don't like Freeza's other VAs, because I do. I can hear the Freeza in all of them, if you get my meaning.
@@Randomperson-ke7xh I think the big problem some had with it was he was voiced by a woman in the DBZ dub. I'm still impressed by her performance to this day, though I don't envy her the sore throat it must have induced. Voice-actors, man. And this is FUNimation in it's earliest days, where everyone was an amateur and also underpaid, and we still got some great work from them.
@@theimaginatrix7625 hey I just now see that there were 2 dubs. And honestly they both have a charm to them. There is still nothing wrong with Linda's role though °
I don't mind Freeza being voiced by a woman in the older dub. I even commend Linda's job for being creepy. But I overall didn't care for his voice in the older dubs because he doesn't sound sophisticated enough (which is something I got from him in both the manga and his Japanese voice).
Mine? Cell should have been brought back instead of Frieza. This is the character Goku (by choice admittedly) couldn't beat, had abilities of everyone, had more a flair about him in my eyes. I could more easily have bought the "four months of training" thing with Cell than Frieza given the Saiyan DNA and such in Cell's body. Plus, I could see the pride of both the Saiyans and Frieza making him very eager in the Tournament of Power.
100% agree. Frieza was played out by then. Frieza main bad guy of a whole arch. Brought back again in robot form. Brought back again in Rez of F. Then brought back again in Super? Also i trust Cell following the rules of a tournament more than frieza.
My opinion is that Freeza should never have been brought back and I would extend that to Cell as well. They both served their purpose in the story and there is no reason for them to be brought back besides unnecessary fan service. That is one of the many reason why Resurrection F is my least favorite Dragon Ball movie.
I have two unpopular thoughts: -Everything about universe 6 is boring -I think DB should be rebooted. I believe that all the characters are too powerful and is narratively unsustainable. Eventually the Saiyan's are going to be the most powerful beings in existence....then what?
@@CannibalCowboy51 simple. To make it not boring. A U6 arc would finally be an opportunity to expand the lore of that universe have more people give a damn about it.
Part of me agrees with the reboot. Part of me is scared that it'll be a major screw up like a lot of other reboots out there. Maybe it should just come to an official end and that's it. All stories have to have an ending right?
I'm so glad Spike from Buffy knew that Evolution was garbage, but he just wanted to play Piccolo because he and his son are a big fan. He even had a funny conversation about it at a con with some of his fans. I think might still be on here, I hope, haven't watched it in ages.
One of the things that people seem to skip out on with the tingly back thing: Caulifla mentions it to Goku during the ToP, and *he responds positively about it*. *Goku feels the tingly back thing for SSJ too*.
My opinions? Gohan seeking his own life outside of violence and trauma to embrace his family is perfectly okay and understandable! Pan is a thoroughly enjoyable and adorable character. Goku is actually a pretty cool dad with psychological difficulties that make things difficult for him to process the world around him.
It's one of my biggest gripes with the fan animations, it's always about the fighting and drama. There's not much world building. They're still good, but I've found I rarely rewatch any of them.
OG Broly's backstory get's waaay to much hate. Whole idea behind Broly is he's completely insane from all the power he has, it's not supposed to make sense that he hates Kakarot for crying, he's insane, a psychopath who fixates himself on to something inconsequential because he's just that insane.
which means that he is a no one, just a plain insane character, an obstacle in the way of the character. To be defeated in a 72 minutes movie. Its cool if you like it, but you can't denied he is just a what if there was an evil Super saiyan fan service.
Unpopular opinion: Cailifla getting ss2 briefly when Kale was going berserk the first time was really cool. I like the concept of a saiyan jumping up a level on pure instinct, and given Goku’s next form would also be instinct based it was fairly appropriate too. I like her figuring it out during the tournament too, but that parts more just because I’ve grown to enjoy scenes that will invoke fan rage from the people who obsess over power scaling and fighting only.
Weird Opinion: Bio Broly has the best characterization of Goten. He can be fun loving, but gets truly serious when needed. Also, he's constantly stepping away from the fight to save people in danger. If this was his personality in Z, it could have shown the difference between Goten and Trunks. Being raised by Vegeta, Trunks would definitely focus more on the fight than people in danger, so both characters could have argued about how to handle Buu. Hell, Gotenks would have had a conflicting personality; both halts fighting for control, while Gotenks feels like that kid stuck listening to their parents fight.
I always think Bio Broly gets way too much flack. I liked seeing Goten and Trunks getting the spotlight. Sure, some people find them annoying, but at the end of the day they're just fun loving kids looking for adventure; I'd expect them to act like that! I also thought that they were a bit more tolerable in Bio Broly than in The Second Coming, since they were forced to fight the mutated Broly alone, and despite the fact that they were scared they dealt with it brilliantly, with a combination of Goten's compassion to protect the people and Trunks' wit to exploit Bio Broly's weakness. It kind of harkens back to early Dragon Ball where sometimes it wasn't just about whoever was the strongest won and I think that's a bit more interesting than just watching them fuse into Gotenks and overpowering him, or getting their butts handed to them and just waiting until Gohan or Goku comes out of nowhere to save the day. Not to mention the scenes where the two are fighting Bio Broly I honestly think we're some of the best animated moments in the series up until then! A very underrated movie; not one of the best but I appreciate it for what it tried to do differently.
I mean i Kinda Agree... from what I've seen of the Original Dragon ball, the fights seemed to have more Strategy in mind, at least more than current fights have in my Opinion
"the tingly back isn't that bad" I totally agree with this. I mean, I have a HUGE bias. To me, as a lucid dreamer, it gave me a consistent way to use the technique. Visualise energy, put it at back, exert and push out energy from back and around body, move it up and we transform. It's fantastic. So hey, sure, why not?
NinjaBluefyre methods differ from person to person. After using reality checks for a while I've fallen into a natural lucidity, I have at least one semi-lucid dream every night. Most nights I have proper lucid dreams, and rarely I don't have one or have one with full, and I mean FULL control. I hang out with dream-specific friends and whatnot. It's... Something else. So I'd say start with reality checks, the common ones, and see what happens from there. Also, this stuff in the comment isn't lucid dreaming, it's just more connected to it. It's dream control through effective,y altering and manipulating my own cognition. For example, I never flick my finger or punch something at full force - not that I'd need to. Reason being is because I know fine well if I do that, I'd probably smash a massive hole in a few walls (one for all) if itwas a dream, and that's not necessary right now. When in lucid, and do something like that, it works basically every time. Figuring out the puzzles and the ways to get around limits and do certain things is SO MUCH FUN. When I realised flexing my shoulders upward let me use Revali's Gale from BOTW I was floored. Cool as hell. And that was only the first. Thruster commands for flight, too. Though now I can visualise energy, I can basically do anything ki users can in lucid dreams. I can also instant transmission anywhere, rather than only to people. One of these days, I'm actually gonna tp away from the probably boring school dream and to people in dreams I actually care about and enjoy hanging out with. But anyways, yeah - just reality checks, dream journals and see how things play out. I don't need techniques to gain lucidity anymore. But it's where I started, too.
DiamondR11 Blue yeah I get that. Idk though, U6 saiyans seemed aight to me. Even the S cells thing. They're far, far more advanced, so it seems reasonable. If they were in U7, where Super Saiyan is a legendary, rage-induced transformation... Then I'd be annoyed too. But U6? Eh, makes sense to me. Plus, yknow, more ways to use power in dreams.
Ok I like the idea of the "tingly back", but to me, when i think of a saiyan, i do think of a tail, having said that though, i like the idea that universe 6 saiyans are different to universe 7 saiyans. Also, not going to lie, never really heard lucid dreaming, I mean I have a pretty good imagination and I have, on several occasions, had deja vu, and pointed it out to those around me.
As some others have also expressed (so not really an unpopular opinion) Super Saiyan was cheapened when kid Trunks and Goten were able to get it so easily. I mean I get that it's easier to achieve once someone else was able to get it, hence Gohan able to achieve it at a young age with Goku's help. I feel that Goten and Trunks should have only gained Super Saiyan when fused into Gotenks. In fact that might have been an interesting aspect of fusion if they were able to retain some of the knowledge and skills they gained by fusing and thus able to use Super Saiyan when un-fused but only after learning it for the first time while fused.
💯 % agree. Goku and vegeta worked hard to achieve super saiyan form and a bunch of 7 year olds showed them up. Gotenks to be honest is a pointless character. Played around fighting Buu due to inexperience. Toriyama’s recycled ideas of fusions didn’t pay off.
Pan was wasted potential in DB GT and should have been the main focus/fighter of an arc. The whole damsel in distress and being a quater saiyan at that doesn't make any sense at all.
Meh, never really cared for Pan. I wish she faded more into the background like Uub in Super, would rather have Trunks be the secondary guy or better yet have more people relevantt
How does it not make sense when saiyans aren't automatically strongest in the universe on top if the fact that She never trained and she has less saiyan blood overall.
@@BabyGirlTiny She did train And wetecnoy saying she is strongest we just wanted her to be the main character in gt you're basically saying just because gohan was he focus of the great saiyaman thing makes him the strongest during that no it doesn't
I have no idea why Pan didn't turn Super Saiyan. I mean if Goten could do it with no training, at a younger age, it's ridiculous that she couldn't. Especially if Goku Jr and Vegeta Jr could do it...
My unpopular opinion is I like Pan regardless of language. My only regret is that we don't see her come into her own as a fighter, though we do see her as a strong figure.
"Tingling in the back cheapens the legendary transformation that Super Saiyan is!" *looks at Future Trunks, Vegeta, Kid Trunks AND Kid Goten casually transforming into Super Saiyans*
@@exaunitive4948 But I think the Bargain sale started there with Vegeta and Future Trunks. When the transformation was no longer exclusive to Goku. Then it felt like anyone can get it.
I hated GT Gogeta he was just an adult Gotenks(goofy for no reason). Vegito acts cocky but he still tries to end the fight as quickly as possible (he had his reasons with Buu). I think design wise he’s pretty cool though.
While I prefer the more stoic Gogeta, I busted a gut watching him mess with Shenron. Also, I think ss4 was such a cool design. When I first saw SSG, I honestly wished they would've done ss4 instead. It just looks so cool.
@@originalmorton2066 Aside from being Goku's first major enemies and responsible for the androids, they were a pretty colorful bunch (pun intended). Sure, compared to King Piccolo and all the other DBZ villains, they are basically a joke in terms of strenght and infamy. But at a time, they were a challenge. And if Goku had left them alone, maybe people like Gero would've improved many of the officers with android technology? Making them strong enough to match the likes of King Piccolo and his demons? Who knows? I just feel that they have been unfairly forgotten. Even if you see their RR symbol all over the Android Saga, you wouldn't really know or care about who or what they were. Just some army Goku fought as a kid.
@@originalmorton2066 If you remember the DBS episode when Goku and Krillin visited that Forest of Illusions, they fought all the past major enemies. Even King Piccolo and Tamburine. But members of the Red Ribbon Army were strangely absent... :(
The animated DB Super is superior to the manga, especially in the Universe Survival Arc. Another one is that Gokus English voice is superior to his Japanese one.
I don't mind abrasive Pan. I mind abrasive Pan not really doing anything beyond being a plot device to enable SSJ4 or a hostage to inhibit Goku. There was a perfect moment to give her SSJ to up her power and warrant keeping her around as a combatant, but they didn't do that.
The childish behaviour and all that? Sure. Goofy is okay. But he is a freaking Adult with ~50 years now. He is married since he was around 20, has TWO sons and fought so many battles...And yes, SUPER is showing him as a manchild who just got out of the woods.....And yes, Goku is not educated. But he is not dumb. He has years of exp under his belt, he saw many things and he has a wife who IS educated enough to teach him the things he needed to know to have a family and all that. And thats all gone in SUPER.
Love the list. My unpopular opinion is that the "Red Ribbon Army saga" was the best OG Dragon Ball had to offer. I love me the tournaments and King Piccolo but I had so much fun reading through the Red Ribbon Army chapters when I first read the manga, it made me feel like a kid again.
I'm not fond of watching 8+ episodes of Gohan being a crybaby surviving Piccolo's training. Looking back on it, it's quite good for character development, but it's nothing we really needed to see.
I like where Gohan is in his life. He got to be a hero, is the scholar and teacher he wanted to be, has a loving family, and is a much better father than his own.
Here’s mine. Golden Form (Frieza and DBSH’s Cooler) is cool. It can be a bit tacky sure but it looks cool and is an awesome dark counterpart to Super Saiyan. I think it’s pretty awesome
I know this video was 2 weeks ago but unpopular opinion: I actually like Cell’s second form and I kinda feel like people underestimate that form, yes we didn’t get to see a lot of SemiPerfectCell on screen but I feel like maybe if we did, he would be seen cooler.
You're bang on with Freeza's third form. I hadn't seen Alien, it kind of reminded me of the Independence Day aliens but I really liked third form and bought the VCR that had it on when I had the choice between a few Namek ones because I liked the transformation.
Re: 9, I really see the parallels to Journey To The West in the first eps of DB. That's why it's enjoyable for a lot of people, imo. There's a reason Journey To The West is so big and influential, and a lot of what I like is the character interaction in it. It's the good part of a hero's journey.
I think I got a good one for yall: Super Saiyan 4 is stupid, at least when taking it seriously I just think it's a bit too busy as a Super Saiyan form what with all the edgy red and black coloring, though it only looks bad taken outside of GT since that show in general was visually darker. But I think the main reason I dislike it is its name and how it just feels redundant. Though while Super Saiyan 3 was pushing it with the sudden hair growth and neanderthal look, going up to four Super Saiyan transformations is one too many. And, if I'm not mistaken about lore, the Super Saiyan form is seperate from the whole Oozaru thing which is what SS 4 is related to. SS 4 seems like it's some kind of refinement of the Oozaru and Saiyan biology and its form name should reflect that. Give it a little redesign so to not look like some fifteen year olds' Saiyan OC, cleanup the story around the transformation and it would be something cool, but as it actually is SS 4 to me represents the flaws of later Dragon Ball Z like the over-reliance of Saiyans and Super Saiyans and the diminishing returns of escalating powers and transformations.
Dragon Ball Evolution should be celebrated. For 2 reasons! 1: It made GT look like a masterpiece. 2: Toriyama hated it so much that he made Battle of Gods, which lead to Dragon Ball Super.
I hate Dragon ball Super for the reasons because it is fan service. Yes Goku black arc is good. But bringing Frieza and Trunks back and off screen training. Makes the fans rage.
Some of my Unpopular opinions: - SSJ4 is overrated but I like it - short hair Videl > pigtails Videl (I agree with you, pixie-cut fits her more and I think she looks cuter without pigtails) - I like Kale and really like Caulifla - kid Trunks isn't so bad - Goku and Chichi aren't a bad couple - Super Saiyan Blue Evolution is awesome, I agree with the rest of what you said about this form, at the beginning I wasn't a fan but few episodes later when there was less blue aura I thought this form looks great - Dragon Ball Kai is better then Z mostly because fights aren't dragged for too long, the fillers (some of them were great in Z) and when I'm watching Kai sometimes I switch to Z to watch some slice of life episodes (which by the way I like that filler in SUPER about Great Saiyaman and heck the filler episodes in Resurrection F saga are the reason why I don't hate that arc) - Bojack is meh, I don't understand why people like him so much - SSJ4 Gogeta is overhyped - I like Jiren
So, I've gotten into Dragon Ball because of you guys (Teamfourstar). Mainly through the abridged series, and your videos. -And Xenoverse 2 helped too, but let's not focus on that.- However I do have some unpopular opinions, so I'll share a handful: One: Pan onward, shouldn't get Super Saiyan. I know she's Gohan's son and Goku's granddaughter, but at the same time I like the thought of her not having it. Having her find her way to get strong that isn't just going gold. Maybe have her copy her father and become Ultimate Pan? Plus I like balance and stuff, and I can't really see why past Pan would have it. That doesn't mean I don't want her to not get SSG. That'd just be rad, especially if it's mixed with Ultimate form then that's double rad. Two: Maron should do more stuff. This really isn't an "unpopular opinion" I guess, more so one I don't see talked about. She's the daughter of a cyborg and the strongest human that isn't the reincarnation of a chaos monster. Darn it, I want to see her kick butt. I want to see a little kid throwing destructo disks around like a Frisbee that'd be fun, cool, and hilarious. Three: Super Saiyan Three is underrated and can be super useful.... Same with Third Grade Super Saiyan. I had a friend I met in trade school who was a fan of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Stick with me. He said something along the lines of "There's no truly useless Stand, just needs the right person how to use it." Now, I have yet to see Jojo, however that quote stuck with me. Heck, it's how I view most things in life now. From video games to tools. That, of course, leaks into Dragon Ball. Yes, they have massive weaknesses, but they're both solved with the same solution. Just, take it slower. "But Goober! The stamina drain with SSJ3 is too great to be used slow! You're just a novice that likes the big hair! If we were subscribed to you, we'd be Unsubscribing!" While that is true, I do like the big hair, however I'm not suggesting fight like a snail. Just take your time and not use too much energy. Go more defensive, base it off of counter attacks. Same with the slowness of Third Grade, base it around timing rather than blitzing your foe. Work with what you got. Two: Ginyu could have been used earlier. With his ability to change, I don't really see why he didn't come back sooner. It's not like he didn't have time to learn Earth writing, just sort of a nitpick more than anything. One: I want Geeko and Gokule in FighterZ. For the meme. Just, Gokule's so great and funny, and I like Geeko's outfit. Plus the Kamehameha into the Jumping fist sounds like a cool level five.
I split Dragonball Evolution into thirds, personally. There's the first third at the high school, which is terrible. There's the last third where Goku transforms into a 7 foot tall great ape, which is terrible. But then there's the middle third where Goku is being trained by Master Roshi and they start travelling and the camera work is trying for a cartoony Speed Racer feel, and that middle third is some solid Dragon Ball
My biggest gripe with Evolution is... to put it in DBZA gohan's speach to goku "You are not even you anymore!" This also happens to be my gripe with avatar the last air bender movie.
I really like the dbz filler episodes too. Anyone remember that robot Gohan found in the saiyan arc? You know the one that was gohan's first taste of death and failure.....
Spirit Sword: I feel like it's not necessary for EVERY technique to be taught. Trunks could have drawn on his compassion for the human race and vice versa, the two parties forming a bond that allowed Trunks to collect their energy, given willingly.
This video may have some savoury opinions, but let me know what opinions YOU have that don't go with the groove. Also, be sure to enjoy today's video by liking, sharing and staying safe. Thank you!

What if babidi turned good?
Chi Chi was the original Skylar White. She’s hated simply for having a realistic reaction to her husband’s legitimately irresponsible behavior
Agreed, only Chi Chi is much more dramatic tbh

True... at least Caulifla is a adult Saiyan prodigi, Those two where just kids....
@@thesymbiotenation.4552 i honestly kinda feel bad for them. they're the result of the tonal direction toriyama was going with the Gohan school arc and after the gag slapstick school fun fell by the wayside the kids weren't left with much besides fusion and being assholes.

Kojo Baah The animation for one. A lot of the animation issues people have with Super were apparent in Z.
Seriously. So many problems with Z
There’s also inconsistent character writing. The Cell saga being a prime example of people being stupid until the plot doesn’t need them too.
The Annoying Spider-Prick idc about animation I care for the plot
I feel the same about Chi-chi. As a kid I hated her thinking she was a road block to the fighting. Now that I'm older I understand that she's a mother, with a husband who fights and leaves frequently, trying to make sure her sons have the best future possible. I'm not 100% with most of her choices but now I see why she does it.
Unpopular Opinion: Blowing up celestial bodies should be a rare near impossible feat for most character in most circumstances.
Unpopular Opinion: Jiren's backstory isn't _that_ bad, just misunderstood.
If you look at it, Jiren's story goes very similar to Goku until his family dies (or, well, replace "family" with Krillin to get a similar thing).
Goku had 2 things Jiren didn't have: His Friends, and the Dragon Balls, and I think Goku would have turned out to be very similar to Jiren if he didn't have those 2 things.
what makes the fandom hate it is simple:
It turns him into a generic badly-written villain (or, well, hero for that matter) and basically makes him Uchiha Batjiren.
Also, Vegeta's SSBE form is great, just great.
...but the thing that makes me hate it's metaphorical guts is the _pupils._ They don't fit Vegeta, y'know?
That's why I call him "Vegeta Kawaii"
(Granted, it could be argued that he's simply fulfilling Chi-Chi's wishes, I admit.)
It just kinda tells me, that DragonBall Z had a point, up to the Cell Arc anyway.
I like Gohan being a scholar. If he doesn't have to fight, WHY should he?? Granted, he probably should have kept it up more.. It is a bit unrealistic that he would assume Goku and Vegeta would be enough when they weren't for Cell. But people shouldn't expect him to enjoy fighting like Goku. I agree entirely on Videl's pigtails and Super Saiyan Evolution/Royal Blue. Giving Vegeta his own unique form is great, and I think the pixie cut works for her better. Here's my unpopular opinion;
I really like the Faulconer soundtrack. Some of his tracks were really good. Vegeta's themes, Gohan Angers, Krillin Powers Up, Piccolo''s Theme (A little help from a friend), the SSJ3 themes, Cell's Theme. Rock the Dragon is just a guilty pleasure, though.
That's not unpopular at all.

Sure Goten and Trunks got SSJ easily, but they didn't get 2 out of nowhere and it took some special fusion for them to even get anywhere near 3.
i think S-cells are involved with that, both goten and trunks were conceived after vegeta and goku learned to turn super
The difference, is that they didnt level up to other levels of saiyan, they kmly reached some saiyan. At this point we already knew there are forms beyond super saiyan so them going saiyan wasn't that big a deal
I wanna point out that Goten was able to use Super Saiyan but he coudn't fly, somehow

For real. He did nothing in the show. Fooled around in the time chamber and even Buu got bored of Gotenks!
Here’s mine:
I disagree on the first point, if anything, we shouldn't have ki.
Fernando Rüth what would you replace ki with?
@@Etticos. *exactly*

Also my unpopular opinin is that Great Saiyaman is pretty good, I like that Gohan much better than Ulitimate or Mistic Gohan, after gaining said power it felt like he haven't grown at all since Cell saga.
They should used great sayain man way more often
If Gohan is going to go back to fighting, he's going to reawaken that power and end a fight in as little time as possible instead of messing around. Otherwise he'll be an eternal jobber like Yamcha.
Unpopular Opinion: U6 Saiyans should've gotten their saiyan tails, Frost should've been Good & have a 5th Form
I agree that Frost should have been a good guy. He was a lot more interesting that way.
So, whatever.)
HFIL, I'd go even further and say that the DBS counterparts of Pan and Bulla should have tails, as well.
Following your point about Evolution:
I like the "Bulma" character
Granted, she has nothing to do with Bulma
But a girl who construct her own high-tech guns that affect Ki users and wants the Dragon Balls so she can have a unlimited energy source? That's badass and nails it in regard to her motivations and place in the story
She has some beautiful anime-style fanarts as well and I think the actress did a good job if you pretend for a second that she's not playing "our" Bulma
Had she been a separated character in another media, say one of the videogames or a filler arc, she would likely be loved by the fans

@@DemonicRemption Exactly. Videl learned how to control her ki to fly in an extremely short time. It took Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, and every other strong human fighter years before they could do that. @@raive2this818 I think Videl stared into the abyss and was frightened when the abyss started back. Think about it, she was quickly introduced into a magical world long forgotten and only saw the good parts of it until she got horribly brutalized and THE WORLD ENDED in the timespan of a day.

XD
I love this man so much! You and the rest of TFS have kept my love for the DB series alive and burning for years now! Thank you! ❤️

-I think DB should be rebooted. I believe that all the characters are too powerful and is narratively unsustainable. Eventually the Saiyan's are going to be the most powerful beings in existence....then what?
The first part seems to be the popular opinion buddy, just lettin ya know
@@marktheanimeguy5444 Really? All I ever hear is "When are we getting a U6 arc?" " When are we going to Sadala?"
@@CannibalCowboy51 simple. To make it not boring. A U6 arc would finally be an opportunity to expand the lore of that universe have more people give a damn about it.
Yeah I think it should get rebooted
Maron = Bulma boiled down to her fanservice
Pigtails are justice.
Popular Opinion: I love when MasakoX does these unpopular opinion videos.
It's one of my biggest gripes with the fan animations, it's always about the fighting and drama. There's not much world building. They're still good, but I've found I rarely rewatch any of them.
My unpopular opinion is that Gohan should keep studying so that we can actually win an actual fight in the future based on his brilliant mind.
OG Broly's backstory get's waaay to much hate.
Whole idea behind Broly is he's completely insane from all the power he has, it's not supposed to make sense that he hates Kakarot for crying, he's insane, a psychopath who fixates himself on to something inconsequential because he's just that insane.
FINALLY! SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME!
That is your headcanon.
@@CZOM027 it's not a head canon that Broly is insane, he is.
which means that he is a no one, just a plain insane character, an obstacle in the way of the character. To be defeated in a 72 minutes movie. Its cool if you like it, but you can't denied he is just a what if there was an evil Super saiyan fan service.
@@GodoMatrix insane people aren't no one dude, that's insulting
Unpopular opinion: Cailifla getting ss2 briefly when Kale was going berserk the first time was really cool.
I like the concept of a saiyan jumping up a level on pure instinct, and given Goku’s next form would also be instinct based it was fairly appropriate too. I like her figuring it out during the tournament too, but that parts more just because I’ve grown to enjoy scenes that will invoke fan rage from the people who obsess over power scaling and fighting only.
She's universe 6 Goku, so she just stole Goku's moves like Goku does to everyone else.
Weird Opinion:
Bio Broly has the best characterization of Goten.
I always got the feeling that it's much easier for Saiyans to reach Super Saiyan after interacting with someone else has already gone Super Saiyan.
Unpopular Opinion: The original Dragonball is better than Dragonball Z.
We found it, lads.
The first-ever take to hit the temperature of Absolute Zero.
Simon Williams gt is better then them
Both
@@shockwavesyndrome6433 now that's just objectively wrong. I know it's an opinion but that's where I draw the line.
I mean i Kinda Agree... from what I've seen of the Original Dragon ball, the fights seemed to have more Strategy in mind, at least more than current fights have in my Opinion
@@lucasparadox6823 that's not the point anyone was trying make. The story of dragon Ball is far superior to z.
"the tingly back isn't that bad"
I totally agree with this. I mean, I have a HUGE bias. To me, as a lucid dreamer, it gave me a consistent way to use the technique. Visualise energy, put it at back, exert and push out energy from back and around body, move it up and we transform. It's fantastic. So hey, sure, why not?
The way Cabba did it wasn't forced, unlike wannabe Caulifla and rip off Kale
Teach me how to lucid dream!
Being quarter saiyan genetically made sense but the damsel in distress thing then yea I hated it
Meh, never really cared for Pan. I wish she faded more into the background like Uub in Super, would rather have Trunks be the secondary guy or better yet have more people relevantt
How does it not make sense when saiyans aren't automatically strongest in the universe on top if the fact that She never trained and she has less saiyan blood overall.
@@BabyGirlTiny
She did train
And wetecnoy saying she is strongest we just wanted her to be the main character in gt you're basically saying just because gohan was he focus of the great saiyaman thing makes him the strongest during that no it doesn't
"Tingling in the back cheapens the legendary transformation that Super Saiyan is!"
*looks at Future Trunks, Vegeta, Kid Trunks AND Kid Goten casually transforming into Super Saiyans*
What?future trunks and vegeta earned it goten and kid trunks was bs
@@exaunitive4948
Vegeta and Future Trunks didn't earn their Super Saiyan forms in the manga so this person might be referring to that.
@@exaunitive4948 But I think the Bargain sale started there with Vegeta and Future Trunks. When the transformation was no longer exclusive to Goku. Then it felt like anyone can get it.
15:05 OH MY GOD! I almost thought I was the only one!
Though it was mainly the soundtrack and big improvements from its prequel that did it for me.
Don't know if it's unpopular, but first form Frieza and Cell are the best designs of those characters in my opinion
Agreed. Frieza's final form looks a bit generic.
SSJ4 Gogeta > SSB
Personally, I enjoy what GT did with Gogeta over Super Broly. I enjoy the more primal look and that striking, imposing red hair.
I hated GT Gogeta he was just an adult Gotenks(goofy for no reason). Vegito acts cocky but he still tries to end the fight as quickly as possible (he had his reasons with Buu). I think design wise he’s pretty cool though.
@@Sun-cg6lv well it was more about the transformation not Gogeta as a character but yea Gogeta should be serious and Vegito cocky
@@carlwebber4094 Vegito for style, Gogeta for results?
SSJ4 Gogeta was annoying to me. " to me "
While I prefer the more stoic Gogeta, I busted a gut watching him mess with Shenron. Also, I think ss4 was such a cool design. When I first saw SSG, I honestly wished they would've done ss4 instead. It just looks so cool.
My unpopular opinion: The DB Red Ribbon Army are underrated.
In what way? I mean they are an army but by the time King Piccolo shows up and on, it becomes a blip 😂
ys they are :(
@@originalmorton2066 Aside from being Goku's first major enemies and responsible for the androids, they were a pretty colorful bunch (pun intended).
@@BBBHuey I feel that, def agree
@@originalmorton2066 If you remember the DBS episode when Goku and Krillin visited that Forest of Illusions, they fought all the past major enemies. Even King Piccolo and Tamburine.
But members of the Red Ribbon Army were strangely absent... :(
The animated DB Super is superior to the manga, especially in the Universe Survival Arc.
Another one is that Gokus English voice is superior to his Japanese one.
For Frieza's forms, I thought the Size and Shape changing represented him releasing more power, like filling a Balloon. Except he makes others go pop
Given kid goku's backstory, his personality is reasonable and makes sense. It is all he knows.
@@Fion355 this was dealing with one specific point masako made and it was not about adult goku but kid goku in early in dragonball.
I had fun watching some of those scenes
I'm not fond of watching 8+ episodes of Gohan being a crybaby surviving Piccolo's training.
Looking back on it, it's quite good for character development, but it's nothing we really needed to see.
I like where Gohan is in his life. He got to be a hero, is the scholar and teacher he wanted to be, has a loving family, and is a much better father than his own.
"I prefer pixie cut Videl"
ah, a man of culture i see
Here’s mine.
Pan in my opinion is one of the best characters.
From the female dragon cast she’s definitely my favorite
I agree. I honestly don't think she's as bad as people make her out to be. I seen the Japanese version first, btw.
Re: 9, I really see the parallels to Journey To The West in the first eps of DB. That's why it's enjoyable for a lot of people, imo.
There's a reason Journey To The West is so big and influential, and a lot of what I like is the character interaction in it. It's the good part of a hero's journey.
My thing on the tingly back is Supper Sayian has long been trivialized seeing as back in Buu two children just do it
I think I got a good one for yall:
Super Saiyan 4 is stupid, at least when taking it seriously
I just think it's a bit too busy as a Super Saiyan form what with all the edgy red and black coloring, though it only looks bad taken outside of GT since that show in general was visually darker.
2: Toriyama hated it so much that he made Battle of Gods, which lead to Dragon Ball Super.
we should hate evolution because it lead to super
@@donalddaggett593 I love Super ! The Zamasu/Black arc is one of my favourite of the whole franchise.
I hate Dragon ball Super for the reasons because it is fan service. Yes Goku black arc is good. But bringing Frieza and Trunks back and off screen training. Makes the fans rage.
Agree with you on the filler arcs they're a lot of fun. Grandad piccolo is my favourite dragon ball thing now 🤣👍.
Some of my Unpopular opinions:
- SSJ4 is overrated but I like it
- short hair Videl > pigtails Videl (I agree with you, pixie-cut fits her more and I think she looks cuter without pigtails)
- I like Kale and really like Caulifla
- kid Trunks isn't so bad
- Goku and Chichi aren't a bad couple
- Super Saiyan Blue Evolution is awesome, I agree with the rest of what you said about this form, at the beginning I wasn't a fan but few episodes later when there was less blue aura I thought this form looks great
- Dragon Ball Kai is better then Z mostly because fights aren't dragged for too long, the fillers (some of them were great in Z) and when I'm watching Kai sometimes I switch to Z to watch some slice of life episodes (which by the way I like that filler in SUPER about Great Saiyaman and heck the filler episodes in Resurrection F saga are the reason why I don't hate that arc)
- Bojack is meh, I don't understand why people like him so much
- SSJ4 Gogeta is overhyped
- I like Jiren
So, I've gotten into Dragon Ball because of you guys (Teamfourstar). Mainly through the abridged series, and your videos. -And Xenoverse 2 helped too, but let's not focus on that.-
However I do have some unpopular opinions, so I'll share a handful:
One: Pan onward, shouldn't get Super Saiyan.
The funny thing is MasakoX is trying to rationalize and justify Chichi being the way she is despite the Dragon Ball creator writing her as a joke
I split Dragonball Evolution into thirds, personally. There's the first third at the high school, which is terrible. There's the last third where Goku transforms into a 7 foot tall great ape, which is terrible. But then there's the middle third where Goku is being trained by Master Roshi and they start travelling and the camera work is trying for a cartoony Speed Racer feel, and that middle third is some solid Dragon Ball
my unpopular opinion is that I liked the Ginyu/Bulma filler, because I like anything with Ginyu in it
My biggest gripe with Evolution is... to put it in DBZA gohan's speach to goku "You are not even you anymore!" This also happens to be my gripe with avatar the last air bender movie.
Vegeta still calling himself prince annoys me
I really like the dbz filler episodes too. Anyone remember that robot Gohan found in the saiyan arc? You know the one that was gohan's first taste of death and failure.....
I wish we could have seen more of King Cold
Spirit Sword: I feel like it's not necessary for EVERY technique to be taught. Trunks could have drawn on his compassion for the human race and vice versa, the two parties forming a bond that allowed Trunks to collect their energy, given willingly.
