I love preachers who encourage the christians to study, meditate and God's Word. Before you can obey God, never trust in your love for God but instead on God's love for you. D degree of your obedience to God depends on the degree of how much revealed you are loved by God, only then you can be able to love God and obey Him. St. John put His confidence in God's love towards him rather than his love for God. Whereas, Saint Peter put so much confidence in his love for God. His love for Jesus failed when he denied Him. When God's love was revealed to Peter, he changed.
