It took us a bit, but we FINALLY got back into the Die Hard series with Die Hard 2: Die Harder - and we had a BLAST! The action is crazy, the one liners fly fast and furious, and the cast is stacked with "hey! we know that guy!" moments. Thanks for clicking by and checking this one out with us! 🎅🎄🎬🚓
Col. Stewart and his men were using special grenades. The ones with a built in with "plot convivence detonator" that only explodes after the protagonist is safely out of range. LOL!
👋Good Afternoon, Friends🤩I am aware that some do not regard this Sequel as highly as others, or even the Original, but NOT Me!😇I have Only-Ever Enjoyed this one, and I Hope that Y'all both did too...👍
Love it - as you'll (soon) see, I'm with you in terms of enjoying this more and more each time I watch it. My original reaction (back in 90) was "it was fun but meh" to now loving how unapologetically in your face/over the top it is in moments. See you in a bit! 🍻 - Greg
All the movies of this saga are good, you will love the 3rd one, it takes place in New York in different places of the city, the director of the first Die Hard returns for this one. It is a solid saga like Lethal Weapon, where each movie is better than the other.
Thanks for the kind words, Thomas! Appreciate you. We got lots of good stuff coming, we're super new and learning as we go. Hope you stick around. - Greg
I think that's a great idea on how we should/would approach it. We'll do a Take 2 for DH3, and I'll try to have it out as a double feature with DH4 (or a day later kind of thing). Thanks as always, yoo! - Greg
@@videovillagereactions Only in my own mind! BTW Des, yes air traffic control is very stressful. I did that job in the US Air Force 1969-1972 and could have done it in civilian life for good $$$ but went into radio instead. My favorite one was when Willis guested on "Mad About You" and he was filming his latest movie "Die Already!" And more than Philly or NY in the area. There are also several air force bases nearby that can handle those planes.
That's so cool, had no idea that's what you did in the service. I cut it from the YT reaction for time, but I had asked Des this after her comment so I'll ask you: have you seen Pushing Tin? And if so, is it in any way accurate? - Greg
@@videovillagereactions Yes, pretty accurate. In the Air Force on our base The Tower would take them off, Ground Control Approach would do the last 5 minutes as they land, but I (and the others) would have them the rest of the time they were in the air. We also worked a ground network between all the other USAF bases in the UK, Germany and Spain. I was the cryptographer at our base because I grew up doing the "cryptoquotes" puzzles and crosswords (etc) in the newspapers. I also once covered for an airborne radio operator on leave in a C-4 Command plane for a week. That was awesome!
I love the practical effects in this movie, the planes and explosions look very real, if they did this same thing today in CGI it would look very fake.
I consider myself a first-time movie reaction expert.... I must have subscribed over 30 first time movie reaction channels... I just found your channel and already have watched three of your videos... One thing I did notice is you do not have any war first reaction videos listed.. do you guys do war movie reaction's????
First, THANK YOU for finding us and subscribing. I'd love to hear any notes you have since you've watched a ton of these and we are learning on the job (especially me as an editor). We haven't done any true war films yet, but we have a slew coming soon. We are going to be diving into Band of Brothers in January (Des's first time) and I think that will propel us into doing more. Some we've mentioned doing that Des or I haven't seen: Hacksaw Ridge (first for both), We Were Soldiers (first for Des), we've also talked about some others but I don't have my list with me. What do you recommend? Thanks again! - Greg
I second Greg, Thank you for the sub. Definitely up for a war film. I think there are quite a few we'd both seen, so it was about finding some at least one of us haven't seen. (Way in the future, I'm hoping for a great adaptation of The Women book, and we MUST watch that.) I'm very excited for Band of Brothers in January. I also want to do Platoon and Apocalypse Now, first time for me. - Des
@videovillagereactions Greg please watch saving private Ryan with Tom Hanks first before band of Brothers... When you watch it you'll start asking yourself a bunch of questions which will get answered when watching band of Brothers.,.. then don't forget the Pacific series that I believe Tom Hanks helped produce... When you watch we were soilders with Mel Gibson please watch Platoon with Charlie Sheen then casualties of war with Michael j Fox... Those 3 Vietnam films will tell you everything you need to know about the Vietnam war... I can go on and on... But most of all thank you for reading and commenting on my post.. so many channels I've watch and commented to don't even acknowledge your post, so thank you...
@@johnpearce5168 We have both seen Saving Private Ryan, otherwise we'd be watching it for the channel. And you're welcome. We really enjoy interacting. You should join our live on Tuesdays. - Des
@@videovillagereactions Des thanks for responding... There are so many good war films that are loosely based on real people and events.. The Patriot with Mel Gibson, Glory with Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman, 1917 George McKay and Richard Madden which as the Brits side of view and then All quiet on the western front with Felix Kammerer the Germans point of view... Are you guys going to watch TV shows also???
Surprised you didn't recognize not-quite-Danny-Glover, Art Evans. Also, there's only 3 Die Hard movies. Only 3. Like 2 Terminators, 2 Aliens, 2 Predators, 4 Star Trek shows, 1 season of Twin Peaks, and so on.
If there are only 5 (not sure why I thought there were 6), then I don't think I've seen the 5th. I know there's one I missed. Guess I didn't miss much. Appreciate it, MegaSting! - Greg
Another fun reaction video. Thanks, folks. I'm going to suggest one movie that I like a lot, and that I have never seen anyone else react to - Nomads. It's Pierce Brosnan's first movie, and he has a brief scene of full frontal nudity, in case that sweetens the deal for either or both of you. 🤣
Your bit on FDT time in DC is not complete he was one of the committee that turned on Nixon and also was a prior chairman of the RNC. He bounced between politics and film and even has one uncredited role as himself in Under Siege due to use of file footage that under SAG should have been credited as a member actor appearing even as an extra as is required when prior footage is used for sequels.
Good stuff, thank you for this! I was stunned what I learned researching it for the fact check. I had no idea about his previous work as a lawyer, or for the RNC, or the Watergate commission until digging in while editing. I always knew he became a senator, and thought that was cool/surprising as a kid - but now it makes way more sense how that happened. Thanks, Charles! Appreciate learning from kind people like you! - Greg
@videovillagereactions Love your reactions, but the pictures on the wall have also caught my eyes. Is that your own photographs and may I ask where they are taken? Something on them reminds me of the Faroe Islands and something that looks like Iceland. Keep up the good work.
Des would have to answer that one, but appreciate the kind words. I'm sure she'll be here to chime in about the pictures soon. Appreciate it, Kristian! - Greg
Oh, thank you! LtoR: Cliffs of Moher in Galway, Ireland; Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, CA; Skogafoss waterfall in Iceland (you got that one right!) - Des
Love Dennis Franz but he is hands down thee worst thing in this movie. I swear, you take him out of the movie and nothing changes except the movie gets even better.
I can see that, he does take over most of the scenes he's in with his energy (not a bad thing, but can be distracting for some I imagine). Thanks, Melanie. I like hearing all the opinions! Appreciate you. - Greg

40:30 Yes John Leguizamo is in this movie
It. Blew. My. Mind! And the confidence I had to say it wasn’t him cracked me up afterwards 😂😂 - Greg

the most unrealistic part in this movie is when Mcclane fires off the blanks in the police station and not ONE cop fires back.
Great lines .. great action ❤❤❤
Completely agree!
Die Hard 4 is my favourite in the franchise.
I remember really liking it more than I expected. Thanks, Lloyd! - Greg
Perhaps do a double Die Hard with 3 & 4 together !?

Colm Meaney a.k.a. Chief Engineer Miles Edwin O'Brien on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Just an FYI - Miles O'brien wasn't Chief Engineer on Star Trek TNG, the Chief Engineer was Geordi LaForge; O'Brien was a Senior Chief Petty Officer
& wasn't his middle name Edward?
Yep you are right it's Edward for the middle name. Yes, Geordi was the chief engineer aboard the enterprise on STNG. Thanks for the corrections.
Silly, silly 90s fun
Right? And I'm here for it. Thanks for watching and commenting 🍻 - Greg
Alrighty then! I learned how to do the free subscriptions during the live chats... but no sense in doing any until next year. 😀
