Storage charge. Let lipos cool down before charging again. And also, never poke holes in them, that also helps

You throw them in the toilet to make sure all the fire is safely under water. When you do need to vent, you just close the bathroom door and turn the fan on for a couple minutes
I know that lipo's offer more run time and power in every sense. But that right there is the reason why I only use nimh batteries on all my crawlers... although, I've been looking into the Spektrum smart chargers/batteries. They should be idiot proof for a non-lipo person such as myself.
