I like these staplers. I am a bit OCD about mechanisms and like to add a tiny drop of oil to each pin that acts as a pivot as well as wipe down the channel and "knife" with an oily rag. If a channel hasn't been removed in years, the channel and the inner body tends to accumulate light rust.

I have a P-22 without the tab in the back as well so they were definitely made at some point. Any of us that have these oddballs can find a tab that pulls down about an inch and a quarter or 30mm back from the head of the stapler. Our front tab unlocks the channel the same way as the tongue in the back so everything else is the same.
Ok I’ve done this, several times. Then it staples one time then I have to unjam it again. I unjam it, staple once, try again it don’t work, unjam it again, staple once, try again it don’t work, unjam it again….They supposed to be jamming up on every other use??

This is not our video, but it does show the P21 being loaded. If that's the model you have, perhaps it will help.

I have one and its not stapling. Theres no jam. The whole thing is actually just not compressing it down hard enough to push the staple out?
