Postcards: Nutcracker Collection

Betty Mann loves nutcrackers. She started collecting them in 2001 as a way of coping with the loss of her husband and oldest daughter. Four years ago, she donated her collection of 2,500 nutcrackers to the the Rock County Historical Society in Luverne, Minnesota and with a gift of another 1,300 from a collector in Sioux Falls, the museum now boasts the third largest collection of nutcrackers in the world.

Get yourself some good containers
And wrap em up carful every year. I always put the date and where or who it came from at the bottom. I started in 08 it’s gotten to the point where I literally have to take all of my normal decor out of my living room I pack it up just to fit all the NC’s (drives my hubby cray) buts it’s fun! If you got kids they love them!
This was the 1st year I actually began to feel overwhelmed because I have too many

My grandmother use to take me to the ballet as a child so that’s what prompted me to start my collection! Merry Christmas 🎄
