As a curvy girl who loves rollercoasters and theme parks your content is SO informative and I really appreciate it ❤ I’m currently on a weight loss journey to fit on velocicoaster in December and your videos help keep me going!
You totally got this! I started my weight loss journey many years ago because I would never have been able to fit on coasters like Velocicoaster. Now 6 years later and 200 pounds down I get nervous that I'm too tiny now riding coasters. I love thrill coasters and I promise the outcome is well worth it. Velocicoaster is my absolute favorite so far in Florida.
I hate that bigger people are unable to ride certain rides (my son is one of those people), so I really appreciate you showing us the test seat and the actual seat. I know it's not a good feeling....but thank you for letting us know. Seriously.
Safety is more important, and far outweighs (no pun intended) someone's feelings about being turned away. Whilst it might not be nice not fitting on a ride, that should be a wake up call.
I completely understand safety...but if the majority of large people (including my son) can fit and be whipped around on Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Big Thunder Mountain, Rockin' Rollercoaster, Slinky Dog Dash, Soaring, Fast Track, The Mummy...there's no reason they shouldn't be able to ride on Flight of Passage, Forbidden Journey, Gringott's etc... Its poor design. Disney did it right, adding a seat in the back for Tron. Universal should have taken the opportunity during 2020/2021 to add bigger seating to the Harry Potter rides and Disney with Flight of Passage. Its not always a "fat" issues, its bars not fitting over calves, bigger chests, longer legs, being tall, etc....but these same people can ride all the other fast rides I listed above. Can most of stand to lose some weight, absolutely.....but there is no reason everyone cant ride "Flight of Passage" if you can fit on "Soaring". Again, bad design.
@@mithrandir1572 different rides have different parameters. Designing rides for outlier cases is not feasible in many instances and engineers prioritize safety over everything. Is it poor design to have height minimums? Again, safety is and always should be top priority. If there is a size limit or minimum you can guarantee there is a good reason for it.
@@mithrandir1572 the rides you mentioned are way different in general with basically just a lap bar, which is much more flexible for someone who is obese. Unfortunately there will always be losers for those who are too tall/short but the restrictions are in place for obvious reasons. The poor lad who died at Icon Park exceeded the weight amount and then wasn’t secured properly, so these rules are there for a reason. Perhaps on some rides there should be altered seats as an option, but a line has to be drawn as a ride operator/designer. Whilst somethings can’t be altered IE height, if someone makes the conscious choice to have a poor diet and shovel crap in their mouth and then pile on weight, it dosent come with an entitlement to have everyone adapt to it
I appreciate you testing the seat for us who are larger to get and idea beforehand what to expect. It can be embarrassing to not fit. Thank you for braving it for the larger people❤.
Hi there, sorry to ask, but is there any way you could include your waist measurement at its widest point when you do these reviews? If you don't mind ofc! (I'm v v grateful for your videos as they're already a huge help) I'm a big gal from the UK and I'm trying to lose weight so that when we do our Florida mega trip I can get on everything, and a rough guide on measurements would be awesome!
Thank you for the content and being so vulnerable..I'm on a journey of just loving myself and know your videos are encouraging to put myself out there❤
Koda looked like she had a blast! I’m so sorry you weren’t able to make it on this time, but you’re SO CLOSE!! I haven’t been on a standup coaster in about a decade (Green Lantern and SFGA) and it was rough to say the very least. This definitely looks much smoother.
I started my weight loss, lifestyle changing journey with one reason being theres so many fun coasters I havent tried yet but couldnt due to weight. Im now 50 pounds down and counting! You played into thag inspriation. I have some more to go and soon will be trying all sorts of fun coasters.
Glad Dakota had a great time. I'm a tiny person too and when I rode it for the passholder previews and my fiance had to lift me up himself to help me get into the seat. The air time for me was crazy because my feet lifted up so much more. I rode the middle and the last row and if Dakota wants more airtime that's where I would recommend riding. Great video! I love this coaster as my first standing coaster I ever rode.
the heart wrenching moment when you are off by just a bit. recently gloiath at great america was like that for me, seemed like i might make the lap restraint but the belt wouldnt go around me. and wasnt sure if they had a larger belt and wasnt going to sit in a long line just to walk of shame again. instead...weight loss goal time and return knowing i will make it. and i think these parks if they dont already would make a killing with locker passes for season or one day. especially parks that offer large prizes from games. a locker to put it in would save people walking back out to their cars to put those large items away and then walking back into the park. i for one would pay for a day or season locker pass to store items in while i roamed the park. would keep me in their longer past when my legs get tired.
True story. I road it one morning, then, by the afternoon, i didn't fit. Goliath is a weird but wonderful restraint system. I'm currently on a weight loss journey myself. X-flight here i come!
I think I would be really nervous with no belt or anything to lock that restraint in. Manta has the pins that look into the side, does this one have that? I don’t know if I will be able to fit on this one, it might be a very tight squeeze for me but I’m excited to try it out! Sad that it looks like such a short ride though
I appreciate you doing these videos, but I gotta tell you, having to have a ride attendant push on it to make it work is a no go for me. I did that once with Shockwave years ago at Six Flags and I couldn’t even enjoy the ride because I felt like I was putting so much pressure on the restraint. I prayed the whole ride it wouldn’t force open and I tumble out or something. I’d suggest waiting a few months before attempting it. To be a “hair” from the restraint locking just doesn’t seem all that safe to me.
Is there a way you can check if the TMNT Shellraiser coaster at Nickelodeon Universe NJ is fat friendly? I'm not sure if I would fit on it and I would really love to know.
Sorry you didn't get to ride. I've been booted from a lot of rides in my life as well, so I know the feeling. Keep working towards your weight loss goal, you can do it!
Hey if you don't mind me asking where are you at. I'm 6'0 298 and trying to figure out if I'm going to be able to ride. For reference I can fit everything at universal except for the drop tower and possibly hagrids (it was closed the last time I went) I can also fit Georgia Scorcher and B & M clamshells
I’m about the same size as you. 6’0” 285. I’m going to the park next week possibly and will test for myself on it. If I go I’ll let you know! I’m guessing we’re about the same size. 42 waste.
I don't like the comfort collars normally be cause they restrict your movement in the seat a lot more. I think on this its not as much of a problem because the whole thing moves up and down.
I'm not sure why they need the harness to go down that far. I would think as long as there is no gap there it should be fine. They make the rules though.
They really missed an opportunity to have the coaster splash water out onto the guests watching in a splash zone! Like...they could have made it on one side only so it curls like a wave! Idk.... maybe I'm asking too much?
It sucks, this coaster is no bueno for tall peeps. 78 inches max height. What is it with surf-themed coasters in Cali that don't accommodate tall peeps (reference to Hangtime)

curvy girl told you about the velocicoaster and that is so awesome! Go get that one! For the velocicoaster I lost around 15lbs and it works!

"a ride like any other ride" B&M engineers: how do we make stand-ups popular again? ooh! add suspension.
I haven’t heard anyone complaining about being uncomfortable so I think it worked!
Umm way more than just suspension. Airtime focused layout, more graceful inversion and layout 🙄

When are you reviewing Penguin Trek. I was hoping you'd have a video out for it already.
Love the unintentional cameo from Craig & Rhyno

I knew this video was coming! Thanks for sharing! You can do it!
still amazes me how many rides that don't have to be inaccessible are.
Great video! have you tried again to see if you can go in, I know you have lost a lot of weight!! I don't think you needed much to fit in it
What were your measurements at the time of this video?
Missed the opportunity of riding sideways.
I was sad when you couldn’t ride 😢 I’m cheering for you! Hopefully you could ride in a month or 2 like you said!

Hello I rode it last week and am 6’0 290 and was able to get on
I wasn’t waiting in line to ride it but I tested myself. I was able to fit with minimal pushing to latch.
I love your videos! Thank you for being a great and positive representative of those of us who sometimes don't make the cut! :)
all the other youtuber friends section of the vid was cute
that guy wasn't even pushing hard. in the uk I've seen three men squeeze someone into a ride.
Not much shade in the open area ☀️ 🔥🥵 I'll miss the Halloween and Christmas area too 😭
I love the Koda POV!
Another great test seat video! Thanks Adrian!
Glad they have comfort collars. Kraken needs them
OMG Kraken certainly need them! My leg is so uncomfortable with the safety bar

Kraken is one of my favorites there but man do I get jolted around alot on that ride.

im kind of shocked they didnt just place belts on this. Because it looked you fit just fine. I dont like this

I'm 318 pounds at 5'9". Is that comparable to you?
You are the thickest skinned person I have seen on youtube. Much respect
After the poor kid that fell from the drop tower last year better safe then sorry.
I’m so happy they have professionals they didn’t just pass you with on a hair click away, better to be safe than sorry.
Adrian if you cut carbs eat one meal a day and walk 7-10 thousand steps a day you’ll be so fit within 6 months its crazy

It looks so slow
stop eating

This is in Florida. And it's because of the restraint's dimensions.
