The final bit with the saran and poly hair is on point, Angel. It's a bit concerning that Mattel is using poly for their deluxe dolls. Sure, adult collectors can manage poly hair but kids won't. My Nighty Nite Yasmin, bless her but man her hair felt so much terrible then her Wild, Wild West Yasmin counterpart. She had so much hair but it felt so ugly to touch, even as a kid. So I asked my mom to braid it but I think it left it's ugly mark because now in days I rarely get excited for hair play for dolls which sucks, honestly. Kids know when something is made with poor quality, they know. And the fact that some, extreme vocal fans are eating this up is extremely upsetting. Not everyone has the budget and time to fix/reroot every MH doll that has poly hair, and especially not kids. I want to get invested in g3 mh, but some of the decisions that Mattel has taken are such head-scratchers that I don't even understand it at times. I'm hoping that Mattel can eventually learn to rely less on Poly, but idk man we'll see. Anyways great, video as always Angel💕. Here's hoping they release a budget Days Out Lagoona eventually lol. as a kid I always thought barbies were magical or some shit because their hair was so sooo soft, because I only ever had disney store dolls with the exception of fashion pixies cloe’s pixie, I used to SOB over how bad my dolls hair would get just sitting up on a shelf like it was so sad to me

Yes I am definitely planning to put her into creep over party as an adult collector I probably won’t be using the beads or hair chalk. But I like the containers and seahorse comb besides lagoona herself. I like her face mask but it probably would have been better with a little paint. Most hairplay dolls aren’t for me but that’s ok and some people really like them.
i boil washed my signature lagoona's hair ( i got her way ahead of time because i live in Canada) back when i first got her and... this lagoona has the same exact hair length. i think the hair is also saran (i cant be too sure) but its so soft and pretty and never tangles. I am a little disappointed that this lagoona comes with the exact same pearl hair clips, one of the same necklaces that sig comes with, and even has the same hair length. shes not too different and signature already feels a little ridiculous with the price so i don't think I'm gonna buy her. if i get her as a gift, that will be the only way i think i would add her to my collection. she is cute as hell though, and I'm excited to see the legs improved!! also, this lagoona is in a toys r us near me and i pass her all the time so i can definitely confirm that her face tends to print beautifully!
The eyeshadow is hair chalk but the fact that an adult thought it was eyeshadow isn’t good enough on Mattel’s part what if a child thought it was eyeshadow and put hair chalk on their eyes

I think she is really cute but i agree with you that her price point is a bit high for what you are getting although i am very excited to see they used saran hair. It is not fun to play with, it does not hold up well over time and it does not look nice (as we all know). When there are other dolls on the market with obvious better quality hair and outfits/accessories it is hard to justify spending your money to get less. I really love the G3 monster high designs, i love their diversity and their cute ears and accessories, i just would really like to see some better quality put into their hair and clothing pieces. I am really hoping they will create new characters, they really could do amazing things with this doll line and we know they have the ability to do so. Anyways, thank you so much for sharing, i always look forward to your reviews and cute entertaining comments and opinions ❤🧡💛💚💜
I agree poly hair on dolls isn’t okay. It takes away a lot play value for kids and longevity of the hair for collectors. Poly hair degrades faster than the other hair types it also just doesn’t feel nice at all. Personally I like to restyle my dolls hair and the ones with poly I don’t mess with this hair at all.
i do not understand why mattel is doing poly hair when MGA is doing NYLON and has similar prices. they are not even trying and their biggest competitor is killing it. feels like mattel knows people will buy because of nostalgia and monster high's uniqueness so they don't make them quality :( series 2 skulltimate secrets being (allegedly) all poly is killing me because i was so excited after seeing their stock photos

If it's cosmetic grade it shouldn't be too bad, but still not great for the face. But the picture definitely shows the colors in her hair.
