Unfortunately, playing the console nowadays will never emulate the times I had back then, but I can relive the best parts only in my memories. Hearing the waves in the background and seeing those glowing orbs dance around in the darkness will always bring me back. Sony really knocked it out of the park with the PS2. There’s a reason it’s STILL the best selling console of all time. In my opinion, it will always be the best console.

This vibe is what current technology/GUI/consoles lack. The ethereal and contemplative...now, its just about stimulation and quick entertainment. Why can't we go back to this? Is it less accessible? Have we cheapened our experience with technology by making it too accessible? Is this technology just too ubiquitous? What can we do as we move forward to build in a sense of awe and wonder about life, about science, about nature? How can technology inspire and motivate us to become better and more aware? How can we use technology to evolve, rather than relying on it as a crutch?

PS2 was different. The aesthetic was so ahead of its time.

Silent hill 2 vibes
PS2 boot/menu theme gave me anxiety because I’d always worry that the used games I got that were scratched up would fail to read….and sometimes they would. 😅
А неплохо! Если бы такая реально заставка была, я б наверное так просто сидел залипал)))
Eto pravda 😁
If outer space had an ambience..
Hello brothers I remember. We were there. We heard and saw it. Good to know I'm not alone.
This would go good with a 2004-2001 vhs tape
My favourite night summer song
Это потрясно, мужик

Whoever designed this was way ahead
POV: you had a long day at life and you just wanna wind down with a spliff
Ps2 was the best console of all time.
Ps2 games hit different
Only some will ever know the pain of resetting over and over, hoping to get past this menu screen and see the Playstation2 logo appear
Really enjoyable to have on in the background. Just bothers me that the spinning dots are not centered 😅
the ps2 dots were never centered
@@gaso3035 true. I had forgotten that.
In a pitch black room it doesn't matter

...and we stood on the seashore, I, hugging my girlfriend, along with other couples, watched this laser show to the sound of the surf...at night...
My eyes went ⚫⚫ when I heard the startup noise
