This is possibly the most informative and no nonsense video about guard and protection dogs I’ve seen thus far. Awesome video lads and I look forward to seeing more
I had a German shepherd back in 1992 from a puppy. She had no special training but she protected me. One day a week I used to walk 5 miles to work, and would take her with me. I worked from 5-10pm in a petrol station and she would lay beside me until my husband finished work and he would pick her up. Once walking to work I had to cross a busy traffic Island and rather than dodging traffic with her, I walked through the subway thru the middle of the island and saw nobody when entering. Passing thru the middle of the island it was open air with the footpath at the bottom of a banking where bushes and trees grew either side, as I started to exit the subway up the ramp she kept turning round and doing a slight grumble. I looked back...nothing! I got back onto the roadside and could tell she was unsettled as she was still glancing back, then looking at me and grumbling and it was then I saw a bloke wearing an anorak zipped right up with the hood around his face, totally unidentifiable. My heart started thumping as I was in the middle of nowhere and he must’ve been lurking. I passed thru that subway daily only not usually with my dog as I’d normally catch a bus once I’d got thru the subway. It was only on a Wednesday when I’d take my dog. I could see him gaining on me so I crossed the road and sped up. He was walking quicker on the original side of the road and was almost level with me. I did wonder if it was coincidence and that he may just’ve been heading the same way as me but my dog had never reacted in the way she was doing at any other time. It happened a year before I got my first mobile phone so I couldn’t do anything other than walk fast and be prepared to fight. The dog was getting really angsty by this time, she felt there was a threat and having alerted me , was telling him in dog speak that she was ready for him. I’d walked around half a mile on the opp side of the road with him almost parallel and was approaching where a few houses were dotted along the roadside and at that, he stopped by a tree, then turned back. It took a while for my dogs hackles to go back down and I gave her a mega fuss when they did. I know something would have happened had she not been with me so after that I risked crossing all the roads that joined to the island as I deemed it safer than the subway . That dog was so protective of me and my sons who were born a couple of years later. When I brought them home from hosp as babies, I put dog biscuits in their carrycots and let her find them, even though she nudged my babies around a bit to find her treats I didn’t tell her off as I wanted her to think they had bought her the bix. It worked as she loved them and would sit with her head resting on their bouncers. Years later a man tried to get in my unlocked front door, I had cctv. Thankfully it had been damp and the door had swelled and wedged in its frame. I stood on the stairs watching the handle going up and down...again my dog threw herself at the door and scared him off. I was devastated when I had her put to sleep, she was only 8 and my first dog having married. She had terrible hip dysplasia which had troubled her for years. She used to try running but then we would have to lift her into the car as she couldn’t manage it. I was giving her lots of herbal anti inflammatories and she’d had daily arnica and paracetamol for years. But I knew I’d never put her through such major surgery. It would have broken my heart to know she couldn’t tell me her pain relief needed topping up so I was with her as she was pts. I’ve never been without a dog since but she was one in a million. I currently have a gorgeous rottie who is 9 and getting a bit stiffened up in his old age and a 5 year old staff.
@@AbsoluteMiniacGena wow you were lucky she was with you. German shepherd's have been bread to such an extreme that their backs aren't flat and they suffer from hip dysplasia. Good blood lines still exist where this isn't the case.

Nice to listen to you, your the best type of trainer there is you have such a lot of time and love for your dogs plus I am glad you have solid boundaries about who you would sell to and you would decline very well done young man.
Stumbled across a video animal watch did and I gotta say what you’re doing for powerful working breeds is an amazing thing, for too long these breeds have been given a bad rap. Nice to see genuine animal lovers who know what they’re doing!
I particularly like the fact that your dogs are not "sleeve addicted", as is seen on IPO, Schutzhund etc, even with socalled bandogs. Those dogs just leave the "bad guys" in peace after they got their teet on the sleeves! That'ss not acceptable. In my message on your website, I mentioned "guard dog"; listening to you now, I see that I do not need a guard dog at all, but a protection dog. I love that seeing a trainer that actually knows what he is about, what he wants his dogs to be, and his clear cut no bullshit attitude towards his dogs and training. Even though he is a young trainer( i started training when i was really young too and i am out about his age now). This is exactly what i talk about with my own clients as well. He gives a crap about great work ethic which unfortunetly is dying quickly in our domain, that is something quckly apparent when you just google all the freakn ' PP dogs and training ' we see today all around the world. When I was 10 years old I saw a documentation about PDW and since then I started to save money so one day I can get an amazing dog like that and feel safe when I am walking around at night.

I'm curious about the long-term in regards to having a protection dog. What types of drills, after care etc are available to maintain the dogs training and discipline?
This is a very compelling video (and beautiful dogs). Can I ask why the dog's ears are cropped and its tail docked? I thought that - particularly the cropping - was illegal in the UK? And as far as I can tell it's just aesthetic and serves no other purpose. Is that correct?

This is a real question not trolling. Have you guys ever trained a chihuahua like the 2 year with you type of training? They are small but aggressive. Other dogs get scared when a Chihuahua goes crazy. They also bark a lot that it can alert you and fast and small to get into small places or for small apartments
I now understand protection dogs. Thank you. I now know I need a level one. I have decided to purchase a Cane Corso. I am alone on the ranch. No fence or tie. Plenty of room to run. My second choice is the Dobermam. Which breed do you recommend?
Over here in the United States we use the great German Shepherd. Dobermans are a dying breed here in the U.S. But if you guys in the UK use Dobermans, that is fine.
That's because the Doberman used over there are European bred. The American version has had a lot of the working drive bred out of them. More's the pity.
They will protect every member of the household naturally but would probably be quite abit out of control just going with their instincts but training to this standard will take time and perseverance and a good family environment with healthy relationships between all members of the pack 👍
I have a question. You work with german shepherds, dobermann's, cani corso's. But i never seen a malinois in you're training. Is this a coincidence, ore is there reason ?
I wonder if he ever does checks up on the dogs he trains to make sure they aren't on a chain or in a yard after they are sold? Btw these dogs should wear bulletproof vest bc all the protection in the world wont stop someone who has a gun & willing to use it on a dog or person!

I have people that buy my dogs who have more money than sense when all you really need to do is actually train a dog yourself and save loads of money. It really isnt that hard when they are already obedient and bred to protect. Mr Daniel Jones as already bought a 9 month old cropped and docked Serbian doberman from over here in the UK which the owner couldn't look after anymore cos he was moving abroad and which is why it was a bargain price and from the well known Annakin bloodline. So there you go Mr know it all, let's see the intruders try to steal my other brand new £30.000 Focus Rs now. Oh please bring your Grandmas poodle for a snack. Ireland??? 😂😂😂
Huge respect to you and ur team ive owned rottweillers all my life i know first hand how much work large breed dogs are u show a passion and commitment to your work that is exceptional wish i gad the oppertunity to work with you all respect
Amazing video's i was hooked till i saw the price of a protection dog, seriously £25,000 for a doberman? We had a bull mastiff that died of old age loyal and protective til the end. Just last Thursday I had a high performance car stolen, masked men came into my home for the keys while my two young boys aged 6 and 3 were asleep, i also work away a lot so one of these amazing dogs is now essential to protect my family. 25k ?! If that is true then they don't give a toss about the welfare of innocent families, just their greed for money. Very sad and unfortunate indeed. Will unsubscribe after hearing that price. Elite rich owners need only apply.
Bought an 8 month old Doberman for £1000. Already fully trained to bark on command, and barks when he hears the door. Very protective of my children. Saved myself £24.000. Woo !
Well why would he sell for any less than he's offered? If you're "product" is deemed to be worth x amount, you can't begin to under sell yourself. I know where you're coming from, but you buy a dog from these guys, you know you have a great dog, there are other companies who don't charge as much
0... They spend a lot of time with potential buyers, and really dive deep into their needs, how the dog will fit in, etc. Plus, these dogs are pretty expensive. Did you not pay attention to the video man? Stop spreading ridiculous conspiracies, and listen. Your acting like a trumpie.
Great to see such sound ethics behind your training. So important to match the dog to meet requirements. Thank you : )

@@bargepoled lmao are you still here? 😂😂 Get a life. Yes this is Leedor speaking no theres hundreds more other countries apart from Ireland Dumb shit 😂. Ireland??? 😂😂😂
How much would a level 1 dog cost ??

What's the difference between one of these dogs and a gun?
The fact that gun ownership and usage is not allowed in a majority of countries.
Train my dog please :'(
Just buy a bull mastiff no training needed
this guy is so hot
9razzler9 ...I would agree, but he is married with child...- which means "off limits"...
This man has the right to make money a lot of time and devotion.
it also depends on what breed of dog the dobbermans cost more
Hello in the US 4900$$ usd bitch was shutzhund champ serbia father bulgaria is that around the same for untrained pup? In uk. Dobermann.
I know where you're coming from, but you buy a dog from these guys, you know you have a great dog, there are other companies who don't charge as much
buy a bear...
I wonder how many of the customers that come to you are looking for protection whilst selling illegal things....
0... They spend a lot of time with potential buyers, and really dive deep into their needs, how the dog will fit in, etc. Plus, these dogs are pretty expensive. Did you not pay attention to the video man? Stop spreading ridiculous conspiracies, and listen. Your acting like a trumpie.
