Just took a test drive of this one today and Wow it feels Great! This is the second bike I ridden😅 first one was at the Motorcycle saftey course... still this was such a great ride!! Can't wait to go out and buy it soon
This was by far the best scout bobber video I've seen to date. I have been searching for a video that kind of just went over everything i needed to know about the bike and couldn't really find much. so great video man, very insightful!
Very clean Octane too... it was well kept by the previous owner. The Scout Classic is nice looking, I think I prefer those fenders over the bobber style I am just not a fan of chrome.
11:50 fun fact the previous gen indian scout the only way to differentiate between the normal scout to the scout sixty is by it saying ''scout'' below the indian badge for the normal 1133cc indian scout classic/bobber
Thanks for checking out the video, yeah, she was really cool. She was on her way out but took some time to discuss her bike and let us know about the Hinesville Bikelife FB group!
I would love the navigation, however, i worry about screens failing aftet years of use like we see with phones and tablets. That is why i will opt for the classic gauge style.
I hear you, sometimes Darwin comes at you LOL... but I have seen the very first versions of the ride command systems on owned and used bikes and they still have full color and look good. TBH tho, I don't think there would be any issues with those screens or at least I have never heard of any issues... knock knock
Hey thanks for the content. I have a 2023 scout rogue and I love that bike. Everyone told me the next bike I should go to is the Chief but I love the scouts so much that I'm planning on going for the 101. I looked at bikes for a year while I learned the basics on a 2021 Honda monkey and as soon as I saw the scout I knew that was going to be my next bike. Going from 9 horsepower to 100 was a smooth transition thanks to how good of a bike the scout is.
Absolutely, the Scout is a great bike in any version of it. The outgoing engine and the new 1250 speedplus just loves the throttle. I’m looking at a Chief as well to add to the garage those just like the rest of the lineup are really fun machines. Decisions are tough🤣🤣🤣
@@FinesseTheChallenger lol yes they are! If I'm getting a chief I'm not going to get rid of the scout. I've never ridden the chief yet but I also didn't ride the scout before I bought it. I only rode the little Honda monkey and then bought the scout and it was like going from a horse to a rocket in comparison. Lol!
@@eggamyer3371 It’s been great! very comfortable and I love the new features. At first I wasn’t sure on the new styling but when I compare it to the previous model I love them both now
Awesome video. Your breakdown and knowledge of the new and the previous bikes was great. However, the music was a bit too loud when you were recording the ride. It became a competition between your voice and the beats lol. Cheers
Ahhh... I have been working on getting the balance right and it seems a few more tweaks are needed. I appreciate the feedback and thanks for checking out the channel/video.
Nice well done video. Thinking real hard about buying one. I did sit on one at the dealer. Being that I am a little thicker. Did not like the back of the seat curving up in the back. Smashed the family jewels on the tank. Still thinking about getting one.
You simply cannot compare the Bobber with the 101 as they are aimed at different buyers. The Bobber is Indians biggest seller in the Scout range for its simplicity, the 101 is for the rider who wants as close to Sportbike feel and agility whilst being a cruiser at heart.
Maybe but I think the entire lineup is great and very comparable, idk if the 101 gave me sportbike vibes, but I will say that the 101 has the simple feel of a bobber with more options and a unique paint scheme. When we purchased our Scout bobber I wished that there was an option for the 4in ride command... I thought that would have put them over the top and now it has it however, I know there are some people that enjoy less tech to have that nostalgic feel and that's cool too.
@ For me as a 50 something year old who has only ever had and raced Sportsbikes. These days I’m surrounded by Indians for a living. Never ever thought I’d enjoy riding American bikes however am loving the Indian range. Especially the 101 as the fully adjustable suspension with upside down forks, brembo brakes with 2 disks is the closest. It’s also incredibly light feeling, flickable, holds a line in hard cornering, has a flexible engine that still pulls at the top and can also be as docile as you want. Just needs the Lloyds tune and a nice pipe to complete the package as with most bikes it still runs too lean and as a result a bit hot. Plus, that paint job is just the icing on the cake. What’s even better for Indian is being also King of the Baggers and it only took the current Australian Superbike Champion to secure the victory. Swapping from a factory Fireblade to something 3 times the weight is not an easy thing to do.
Yes, IMC has punched it's way onto the scene with their lineup... The Challenger is a great bike and having that rivalry play out in front of our eyes in the KoB races is just amazing! The Scout is a fantastic bike and a great platform to upgrade or modify. I can see how the transition from a highly tuned performance machine (racing sportbike) would be a drastic change to then move to a 800lb bagger. I was into sport bikes and a friend of mine had a Honda Fireblade in Japan (AMAZING machine) and I rode a GSXR750 (definitely not a racer by any means) but I did the usual sportbike stuff when I had it LOL. When I got on my Challenger, which was my first bagger, the transition was easy IMO and it made the most sense to me because it was the closest bagger available to me that I could get the performance that I was looking for coming off of a sportbike. That's a whole other conversation though LOL. The 101 is an absolute blast of a motorcycle and IMO you get a lot in that bike for your money in a package of that size I'd be willing to be in that segment IMC is king when compared to the Sportster. Still riding at 50 #goals!!!! Keep riding and stay safe, thanks for checking out the channel and taking some time to chat!!!!
@ Also a fellow 50 club member, yes the Challenger is a hard one to beat and will possibly be my next bike. Just had a guy of the same background have cams and a Lloyd’s tune installed as he could already beat his mate on the equivalent HD from the lights in stock form, just couldn’t keep the gap until now. As someone who spent the 90’s racing all formats in Australia, with Phillip Island as my home track I am impressed with the handling of each of the Indians fitted with upside down forks and Brembo brakes. The top spec Fox rear(s) are also great. Ride free! Nice chat, looking forward to your next video.
Thanks! TBH I had not noticed the fuel cap, however, if it were mine I’d go for the black lockable cap… only because I am not a fan of chrome. That said… I didn’t notice any glare when riding the bike.
IMO I think any seat is more comfortable than the out going bobber seat. The ridge in the rear of the seat always made my tailbone hurt. The Rogue seat is the best option IMO for the scout line
Hello friend....thanks so much for the video. I turn 62 next month and have decided to buy a motorcycle for my birthday. I have owned 4 Harleys in my life (883 sportster, WideGlide, Softail Deluxe and last bike was a 820 lb Street glide. I have not ridden since I sold my street glide 15 years ago. Because of my age I am concerned about buying another 800 lb Harley and when I saw this new Indian it seems like the perfect size & weight at 572 lbs which is much easier for an old fart like me to handle. I do LOVE torque and quick acceleration. So my question is does a lighter weight bike like this new Indian have the same acceleration as the bigger 114 engine found on Harleys? The Indian weighs 30% less than the Harley so wondering if the lower weight bike provides the same oomph found on the big twin engines. This just seems like the perfect bike for an older rider. The only accessories I would add are saddlebags and a detachable fairing if that's an option. I also do love the new Scout 101 which has just a tad more power. I do NOT plan on doing long rides. Maybe two hours at a clip so do not need a touring bike. Love to hear your opinion. Stay safe my friend and thanks again for the video.
B.L.U.F. Yes, this smaller bike feels just as strong if not stronger than the 114. Hello D2B! 62, Happy Early Birthday!! If you enjoy OEM speed, Indian Motorcycle will give you what you are looking for. As far as the Scout goes, I have not tested a Scout against the 114 however, IMO it pulls harder than the 114 (going off of seat feel only) if you are comparing it against "touring bikes". However, the smaller HD bikes such as the 114 Street Bob or Fat Boy might be a different story... rightfully so because those are a different class of bikes. Does this bike have ooompf, absolutely! From your description, you are looking for something smaller that still gives you some fun and I think if you were to get your preferred trim of the Scout (base, limited, or limited +tech) with the Overnighter package it would fit your needs perfectly. These 25s should be shipping to dealerships now I would see if I could test drive one to make sure. On a side note... if you get the outgoing Bobber model that is just as fun with 5 less hp all the accessories from the new model will fit on that model too... outside of the engine guards I believe. Not only that they are running some good discounts now on the outgoing models as well.
@@FinesseTheChallenger thanks so much for the detailed feedback & advice. Greatly appreciate you. Safe riding my friend. And once you mentioned the Harley Bober with 114, my brain quickly switched gears as I have only owned Harley’s. Maybe it’s time to just test drive both bikes. Thanks again🙏
I preferred the Indian head logo instead of just the "INDIAN SCOUT" print. The Indian head logo looks fire. I suppose they added it on the engine but... Yeah. Don't know. Just my five cents. I LOVE the way the bike looks - but it needs to be with the smoke black color.
The engines do look different, but I think the 1250 fits with the aesthetic of the new styling, the body of the bike is a bit taller... give it some time it might grow on ya LOL... maybe?

Symmetry of the lines, except for the absolutely retarded offset fuel cap. I “ALMOST” ordered the outgoing model because my OCD flames up less on the recessed centered flush cap. The .1 added fuel capacity is a laughable joke, and I’d sacrifice the 5 mile added range for a better looking cap. And the fact that you have to buy a black one on a fully blacked out scout bobber is just as dumb.
Yeah, chives were made. I’d rather have the old style fuel cap too it just made more sense but since they added keyless you would have to fiddle with getting the key out… so on and so forth. However all the other options you get on the new model are just🔥🔥🔥
TBH, the bike still looks like a Scout and feels very much like the outgoing Scout but now you have options for the 4" ride command, key fob, suspension, and cruise control...
