I am glad that your safe, and everyone is safe! I am also glad that it was an issue with a pull station, and not a real fire, I am not say that the pull stations should not be working properly, but really I am saying that worse things can happen then a issue with a pull station.
I found myself in the same situation when I was interstate stopping in a backpacker's hostel while I was in bed asleep the fire alarm started going off then next minute there was a announcement made please make your way to the nearest fire exit to evacuate the building so It doesn't really matter if it was a false alarm or not you still better of evacuate the building just as a percaution until it is safe to re-enter the building it's just common sense and for your own safety.
Unfortunately that’s one of the reasons why apartments and condos suck. Fire alarms can malfunction, and immature tenants can set it off. Speaking of which, I’m genuinely curious: How come you don’t sleep at your house or even spend any time there?
This is why you got to be very careful with pull stations that have a button inside because sometimes the button might get released even though the pull station is closed which will set off the fire alarms. If this apartment had Fire-Lite BG-12's then there wouldn't be any issues because these pull stations have a lever inside
That happened to me during spring break 2021 at Marriott Villas At Doral in Miami Florida. I don't know if it was the pull station but ya it scared me a little bit. It woke me up one morning and I thought my family and I had to evacuate but we didn't so yeah. Yes the alarms were annoying and I wasn't happy when that happened
When I was in Middle school, the fire alarm went off because there was smoke coming out from the hand dryer, and then some other time later, it went off due to the water pressure
I guess the fire alarm pull station might of been the wires hooked directly to the black module on the back of the pull station and costed the fire alarm to go off. I saw a video called. Unexpected System Test 11.5.
Were you at the storage facility where the elevaTOURS international elevator museum is in when the alarm sounded a while back? I think today he escaped to his museum.
Those are wheelock Siemens zns zh-mc-r, that noise also drives me nuts too that sounds like a person screaming. I had that in my school once and it scared the heck outta me. @@joshlunt7827 When they do yearly inspections at my apartment you're not required to leave. They usually let residents know two or three weeks in advance and a time frame for example this time it was 10am to 2 pm earlier this year. Usually most are out of their apartments which is why they usually say they may or may not need access to your apartment during that time for the inspection so they can make sure your alarm in your unit is working and inspect the sprinklers. If I lived in a unit with a Spectralert Adanced like some of ours have for ADA purposes I wouldn't stay either way. Most like my apartment use the moddest MHW's or System Sensor Mini Horn White. It was the wrong thing to put an actual alarm in the living space yeah you need alarms for safety but a simple smoke detector will do for private living spaces.

Well I just fell bad for you especially when it is poring down with rain. Also in 2018 I was staying at a hotel in the gold cost Australia and at eather 12 or 1 in the morning the fire alarm went off but it was a false fire alarm 🙄
There is nothing quite as scary and annoying as being woken up by a fire alarm, especially these Wheelock-Siemens ZNS types. The Gentex Commander 3's and System Sensor SpectrAlerts are also very loud and annoying. I've been woken up a number of times in hotels and college due to fire alarms and it's the absolute worst. I get that it's there to save your life, but every time it's happened to me it's always been a false alarm, as most usually are (like this one). These loud fire alarms should only be placed in corridors and common areas, I HATE that they put these types of horn/strobes in the actual apartment/residential unit. IMO Smoke detectors or voice-evac systems would be much better inside individual units/hotel rooms. For example, my current apartment has horn/strobes on the exterior and only smoke detectors inside the units.
