Thanks. It is underrated. Because, unfortunately, Silkypix do not pay commission to the "TH-cam" photographers. Check out my Silkypix Playlist if you want to learn more about silkypix. th-cam.com/video/Q0skubLplBI/w-d-xo.html
It was a pleasure to do it. This software deserves some serious recognition. And I couldn't find any new serious english Tutorials Online. So, I thought hey! Why not I make some. I am a geek, but not the best at presentation. But I tried. I am glad you found it useful. Any questions, email me or comment here, or twit me. I will answer.
Hello your set of videos on Silkypix are the best tutorials. Actually they are very well organized. By the way, I'am trying to find a command in SilkyPix in order to resize an image. In Photoshop is easy to do that. Thanks
Hi, in 13:47, Develop section -->enhanced settings you adjusted sharpening with unsharp mask. So you are modifying the shaperning adjustment that you have previously done with the sharpening tool. Why?
great tutorials. By the way you said your workflow is Color, WB, Exposure and Other local Aj. Sharpening and clarity are at the end of the list, aren't they?
When I open/import RAW files from my Panasonic G85 that were shot in 4:3 aspect ratio, I get translucent gray bars on each side of the image. You can view the greyed out portion of the image through the bars, but that portion of the image is cropped off when exported. However, when I open the same files in the Windows 10 image viewer/editor, there are no grey bars, and the image is not cropped. Have you experienced this? If so, could you please make a tutorial about how to import / export an uncropped 4:3 image in SilkyPix?
Hi, thank you for commenting. I am not familiar with your issue. But, let's get to the bottom of it. Would you be able send me few screenshot of the issue you speak of? Just simply upload at imgur, and post it here so that I can understand exactly what it going on.
@@Light_Camera_Story Thanks for your interest and response! I've never used imgur before, so I hope these post: 1). RAW FILE IMPORTED DIRECTLY INTO SILKYPIX 8 SE imgur.com/a/n1vVlDQ 2). RAW FILE EXPORTED AS JPG FROM SILKYPIX 8 SE imgur.com/a/UhZbR0I 3). RAW FILE OPENED DIRECTLY IN WINDOWS 10 PHOTO imgur.com/a/nDXB7Wz Thanks again!
It's my pleasure. Is is happening with all the photos or just with this photo? Also, does it remain same even if you press 'initialize' , which is the reset button for SP.
@@Light_Camera_Story It happens on all of the photos, but I think I know why -- unbeknownst to me, several of my in-camera settings were not saved (or reverted back to their default). One of these was the aspect ratio. I had it set to 4:3 for taking photos in portrait orientation because I wanted the extra width, but I re-checked, and it had reverted back to 16:9, which would explain the vertical bars, since the image was shot in portrait orientation. However, I'm not sure why SilkyPix displays the grey bars, while Windows 10 Photo doesn't. I can only guess that SilkyPix is reading the native aspect ratio in the exif info, and Windows 10 Photo isn't. But that doesn't solve my problem of being able to edit the RAW file without the bars. Even though I can open the image in Windows 10 Photo without the bars, then resave it as a RAW file, when I re-open it in SilkyPix, it still has the bars. Thanks for all of your help!
You guessed it right about SP reading the exif info of Camera RAw. Although, like you , I surprised that SP is not showing you the full image. I am sure you tried already. But , check the lens Profiles section and crop section if you can do something about it. Also, go check in the parameters (or preference) if there is a change you could make. Meanwhile, SP 10 is phenomenal. If you are interested to upgrade. All the previous SP are great too. But there are many technical improvements. I am going to keep looking for a solution. But I am using the 10th version. I will keep you posted if I see some lights.

It's just show different tools available to do sharpening.

Yup. Usually, I avoid sharpening for social media or for my website.
