“Nuggets move on.” Lol. Nick in absolute shambles.
Starting the pod of with “This could be the last playoff game of the greatest nba player of all time” like every time he’s wrong he doubles down on the delusional lebron goat narrative

Nick is coming dangerously close to talking basketball.
Love the editing and how Damonza set up the detective bit lmao i think its great when he plays a character in the segment intro
The comp for Murray is Memo Ochoa. An average goalkeeper who never even played for big clubs in Europe, however when he plays for the Mexican national team especially in World Cups, he's an absolute wall in goal.
LeQueen, the LGBTQ leader of BLM
Miroslav Klose
Lmao that's an incredible comp
That was a nice comp. I was like “how you gonna compare soccer to basketball,” but yeah that dude became legend simply because when the lights got bright, he suddenly left earth. And yet never won individual accolades
@@kppowell6157 yep, to be honest the whole not an all star is such a fake argument I’m pretty sure he’s one of the 5 best SG in the league. Dude gets injured a lot.
I love my mans damonza but he gotta stop mumbling lol
Man, if Curry had Anthony Davis, Steph would "impact winning" way more than he currently does. Cmon man, geez!
Longevity is the biggest argument for lebron cuz as Nick so eloquently said:
Number 1 among all time greats in
Regular season and post season games played most points regular season and postseason etc etc etc…..
however…. I never really looked at MJs career and think of it as short….
Came into the league at 21 after 3 years of college….
Played 9 seasons with the bulls wins 3 rings and 3 fmvps 2 mvps 7 scoring titles and a dpoy shocks the world and says yeah basketball has nothing left to offer me… (you can argue his dad died, gambling suspension, etc doesn’t matter)…. Goes and plays baseball for nearly 2 seasons…
Comes back drops 55 on the knicks but they lose to magic due to some costly plays…
First full season back he has arguably the best season start to finish of any player ever…
72-10 record
30-6-4-2 on 49-43-83 splits
Wins mvp, scoring title and first team all defense
Wins the chip vs a 62 win Sonics team
Does he rest on his laurels…
Nope
Wins another 2 chips to complete his second 3 peat
To bring his trophy case to
6 chips, 6 fmvps, 5 mvps, 1 dpoy, 10 scoring titles, 3 steals titles, 2 separate three peats, the all time regular season wins record etc….
At age 35 Jordan calls it quits for the second time…
At age 35 he was still 29-6-4 on 47% Fg… en route to the chip etc..
I bring that up cuz I don’t expect him to all of a sudden drop to 20 ppg the following season had he not retired….
The fact that at age 40 he was still able to average 20 playing all 82 games is proof enough that had he not retired he would’ve had a couple more 25+ ppg seasons….
I don’t know how much you know about Soccer Nick but the best comp for Jamal Murray is Chelsea’s Didier Drogba. He only scored 20 premier league goals twice in his 9 seasons with Chelsea (20 is the mark of a top striker generally) but his record in cup finals is astonishing with 9 goals in 10 cup finals, including a last minute equaliser in a champions league final which they went onto win on penalties with him scoring the winning penalty. Ultimate big game player

I just spit straight fire to the opening one minute and 20 seconds of this intro. This beat goes hard, Nick! You need to get someone to write something for you. I promise you.
Can’t wait for Wildes take! 😎
What if Denver drafted Bronny 😂😂😂
The closest thing I can find to Jamal Murray is Julian Edelman he barely managed 1000 yards 3 times but is near the top in multiple playoff categories and even has a SB MVP
Nick Wright is my favorite better than screaming Stephen a Smith and skip brainless 😊
Skip Baseless is what I call him lol
LeBron was 28-7-9 in this playoff series. He's still playing at an insanely high level. Post All-Star break only Jokic & Luka have played better.
If he wants to win his 5th title then the Sixers & Knicks makes sense. Sixers haven't won a title in over 40 years, Knicks haven't won a title in over 50 years. If he wins a chip with either, it would greatly enhance his legacy.
Yep still playing at a very high level hats off to him
Stat padding...
Same problem exists he has no go to move in his bag to take over the game late. Just a walk up 3 and a football plow to the basket no in between
All you do is follow box score stats??
LeQueen, the LGBTQ leader of BLM
Sayin Bron played B- to A level defense this series is just insane lmao. He gave up so many orebs and backcut buckets
The closest comp to Jamal Murray is playing in the NBA right now. His name is Jimmy Butler.
Butler has been an All Star multiple times. But that probably wouldn't be the case if he played
his entire career in the Western conference. Butler also increases his production immensely
in the playoffs compared to the regular season.
I seriously don’t believe anyone actually thinks LeBron and AD aren’t better than Jokic and Murray. The true difference is while Jokic is better than LeBron or ad he also actually makes the guys around him play the best versions of themselves. LeBron takes away from the cast around them and that’s facts that numbers can probe
Nick is unbelievable. You cant start saying the Lakers had a chance to make a deep playoof run and then say the roster wasnt good enough.
Trae Young was 22 in 2021 when ATL made the ECF. I know it didn't really happen but it did 😂
Turn the volume up
Mention the free throw disparity Nick. Lakers have 3x more free throws in past few years than the 2nd closest team. Your friend Wiles points it out. Its not as close as your Clutch Sports narrative wants to imply. The refs kept it close and then let the outcome be decided in the final few minutes.
You have to give Nick credit I never would’ve guessed three years ago that he’d be the guy that appreciates Joker the most in the main stream media
Don’t feel bad for the fans, we good in Atlanta! Excited for this season! Top 30 visits mean nothing as far as who the Falcons draft. We’ve drafted 1 prospect since Terry has taken over that has come on a top 30 visit.
Justin Williams in the NHL may be a comparison to Murray.
28th overall pick, good regular season player. Nicknamed Mr game 7, 8-1 in game sevens, has tied most goals and outright most points in game 7s. Won two Stanley Cups with one playoff MVP.
A- to B+ defense??
Lol FR C- ball watching defense
Possible Murray Comp: Big Shot Rob. Different play style, but similar story. Big shots and iconic playoff moments.
There is NO comparison. Big Shot Rob was a role player, whereas Murray is the second best player on his team.
The Lakers get bounced in 5 and Nick spends 20 minutes talking about LeBron
So two top 10 Lakers could beat 1 top 10 in Jokic? Another choke
This is my favorite pod but spending essentially the whole 1st block on the Lakers vs Nuggets series. I understand it’s LeBron but there are more series to cover too!
I can’t stress enough how much I enjoy this pod though, must see stuff
💯💯
The closest Jamal comp I can think of is maybe an Edelmen or Welker to Jokic's Brady
EDIT: edelman came up later in the episode, my bad
Lakers missed as many FT's as Nuggest attempted all game
When a player whose whole career the talk is----needs more help, doesn't have a head coach---that player isn't the GOAT.
Cleveland didn't make enough moves, Miami doesn't make enough moves and now Los Angeles doesn't make enough moves.
Now he talks about the great Dallas front office that just last season didn't make the play-offs with a team Nick thought could go to Finals. lol
KAREEM at 39 had 23 a game and 26 in the playoff and won the championship later two years in a raw. he had 10 points at age 42
he had great collage carrear with 3 ncaa championships in a raw and started at 22
Is the Jamal Murray comp Eli Manning?
Eli made pro bowls
Starting that way, but Murray could accomplish much more, given his age and team status.
Jamal Murray=Bernie Williams in my eyes. Part of a dynasty (or potential one with Nuggets), top 1-2 player but severely underrated. At no point considered the best of their respective position during regular season, albeit very good. Elite performance under brightest lights in postseason. Bernie had the most postseason HRs before Manny Ramirez broke that number.
Injury history doesn't apply, only thing that doesn't go directly (and personality a bit different).
I feel like Eli Manning is a decent comp for Jamal Murray. Good but not great in the regular season but then goes on deep playoff runs.
Julian Eldemen for the Jamal Murray Comp??
Tbh the lakers played great threw out never seen man be so hyped for a series that was competitive still got swept best chance to beat them once in a beat of 7 lakers r great team if anyone else but the nuggets they go to the wcf
Madison Bumgarner is my Jamal Murray comp
34:00 Ngl Nick is right. Lebron ties the game with 26 seconds left. If they foul by the 19-22 second mark, at most the nuggets get 2 points, least 0, mid point is 1. If they get 2 points, cool. You have possession of the ball for the last 19-22 seconds of the game (enough time to pull off something similar to what Murray did). If they get 1 point, cool. You can do what Murray did, and win the game with 3 seconds left on the clock. If they miss both, great! You can either attempt to do something similar to Murray and win the game, or run the clock, let it go to OT, get some time to rest, and let the flow of the game take course. Nick is 100% correct here imo.
You know what he also could have done, erased two of the most crucial 3s by boxing out and getting rebounds instead of giving up multiple opportunities
Claude Lemiuex. NJ Devils
I feel bad for Bronny. Kid’s not going to ever be allowed to have his own career. Anything he ever does well will be “Look at that, Bron taught him so well!”, and anything he ever does wrong will be followed by “Bron’s the only reason this kid’s here, he don’t belong in the league.” I can’t imagine the stress that’s gonna inflict on him. No matter what team he’s on, every single other player and fan is just gonna say “This kid’s only here because of his dad” and not take him seriously. I really hope he can rise up and do his own thing and play well enough to make a career for himself playing without Bron on the same team. I’d hate for him to just get dunked on for stuff that’s out of his control. Not to mention all the people jealous of nba money will be salty he gets rich because his father is Lebron James. I feel bad for him and hope he does well, and I hope Lebron can kinda back off and not make it about himself and unintentionally ruin his son’s dream.
How is that any different than any player who ever played with LeBron? Whatever LeBron's supporting cast does, LeBron gets all the credit.
When the team loses, the role players get the blame because LeBron always stat pads. The only difference for Bronny is that he happens to
be LeBron's flesh and blood.
Jamaal Murray is Eli Manning lol
lol crazy comp quite accurate
Maybe Julian Edelman is a comp for Jamal Murray?
Is the comp for Jamal Murray's career Eli Manning? Maybe not quite as successful, but it's the name that comes to mind
My boy domonze fried I need his za fr😂😂
He said Lebron played A- defense. 😂
Miroslav Klose holds the all-time worldcup scoring with 16, wasn't elite in leagues afaik. Might be a decent Murray analogy.
Tatum at 22 led the Celtics to the ecf averaging 26 and 10
Sweeping embiid and beating the defending champion raptors
That raptors team looked a bit different the year after their title 😂. And congrats on beating a universally recognized playoff bed wetter in Embiid
@@willyboods5197 you can nitpick the opponents if you want but my point still stands

Close sweep! Finally
Was D Wade not the best player on a championship team? Do people just forget about him pre LeBron?

Nick you’re a homie but stop saying “galaxy brain” it sounds like a phrase that dumb people use to appear to be intellectually superior to everyone else. We all know you’re well educated on sports & otherwise. Keep up the good work, just a small piece of advice from a genuine fan brotha !
Jimmy Butler instead of Bam , Murray has Joker?
So just give him the first ever conditioning championship trophy to go along with his first in season championship how he looked and what he won two different things
I hate to say this Nick, but this is the NBA version of…. Get ready for this…. Julian Edelman
Jayson Tatum has 2 50 point playoff games
only real Jamal Murray comps are two golfers… ian poulter and brooks koepka. koepka has 9 career victories and 5 are majors.. 2nd player ever to go back to back at US Open (modern era). all time great in majors, completely average in normal tournaments (regular season).
and then Ian Poulter.. all time great Ryder Cup player (which many argue is the biggest stage), and slightly above average in regular events. Koepka is the better comp
I do believe that Lebron will try to play for three more years, regardless of his son’s future, but I also believe that he might want to stop after one more year. Again, regardless of it being successful or not.
Lebron impacts winning over Tatum
If Murray was on the knicks he’d be all star every year let’s stop pretending he isn’t a great player who just stays in his role for the success of the team
Derrick Rose was 22 the year he won MVP and went too the conference finals
The Nuggets didn't even play that well. I wouldn't be shocked if they lose the next round. The Lakers had ample opportunities to at least extend the series, and they couldn't close.
The lakers led at half time in every game. If you can lead by halftime you can win the game. Roster construction is a poor cop out
Jamal Murray’s NFL Comp. I would say is Julian Edelman… Good not Great player, but has a lot of great Postseason #’s & Success
Nick Van Exel?
Wisconsin's OWN Nick the quick to you lol
Yeah agreed what LeBron is doing at age 39 is unusual... in baseball when these unusual things happened everyone looked the other way. Some people even cheered it on. History will be the ultimate judge
After Nick boasted about how the Lakers would win this series 4-2 and got humiliated, how could I ever trust Nick's predictions on how the playoffs will go ever again? When is Nick correct with his predictions when he's not rooting for his hometown team who has the second greatest winner ever in the NFL after Brady on it?

Nick has made me a lot of $ w/ his gambling picks - yes he got the Lakers den series wrong , but Lakers won every 1st Q & 1H I believe & had double digit lead every game - JM was clutch & joker bully ball is unstoppable 1:1 & makes great high IQ passes & den role players were more consistent
Let’s see your predictions for the rest of the postseason then buddy lol
Everyone is going to get some wrong. No one gets 100% of predictions right. Reality is Nick does get a lot of stuff right
Jokic and Murray are better than LeBron and AD, but it's close enough that the difference in a close series was the supporting casts? Why isn't the difference in a close series the difference between the best players. Clearly, Murray was the difference in this series being over now versus continuing back to LA.
Because the Lakers best players (Lebron and AD) were pretty much playing at their current peak throughout the entire series. Generally speaking, Lebron and AD are not capable of playing significantly better than they did. Sure, they used to be better when they were younger, but they can’t magically go back to those days. They played at max capacity.
And more importantly, LeBron and AD’s current peak is still good enough to be a serious contender. If you ranked the players based on performance this series, it would go Jokic first, then AD and Lebron, and finally Murray. Murray played inefficient and ineffective basketball for 75% of the series. So who else can we blame BUT the Lakers role players?
Yeah murray and jokic didn’t run out of gas. The supporting cast was good till 4th quarters. Then the best players win the game and they did. Man the lebron glazing. Just comparing stats and saying they cancel each other out is stupid
@jrrp-li8jw That ranking would hold true in general, not just this series. If Murray was better the fourth, the series would have been a sweep (like last year). The difference is Jokic, not the respective supporting casts. Jokic is just about better than LeBron and AD combined at this point.
@@jrrp-li8jwyou can't have actually watched the live games in this series and thought Bron and AD couldn't play better. Bron could have boxed out and not spent so many plays complaining instead of playing actual D. And they could have kept going to AD rather than deferring in the 4th.
@@TheForkOnTheLeftist I still think they played pretty close to their best at this point in their careers.
Lebron isn’t physically able to defend at a high level for an entire game anymore. Complaining about calls isn’t preventing him from going back on defense….being 39 years old and playing a bunch of must-win games over the past month is what is preventing him. He’s gassed, but still puts up insane stat lines and still plays at a top 15-20 level.
As for AD, it is absolutely exhausting to defend a guy like Jokic. Not sure if you played basketball, but banging around in the paint against a bigger opponent game after game takes its toll. Dealing with a quick guard like Murray on the pick and roll is exhausting. Switching into other large players like AG and MPJ is exhausting. And most importantly, making up for the lack of defense by DLo, all the bench players, and at times Lebron and Reeves is exhausting.
In the history of all sweeps in every sport, i never heard of a close gentlemans sweep. PATHETIC EXCUSES
“Lakers in 6”…..f’in fanboy. Almost as stupid as fanboy saying “KD will never win a ring if he joins the Warriors”….Wright makes some of the dumbest nba picks of anyone.

it's crazy to think lebron has played 21 seasons where he's been all-pro or t10 in MVP voting vs jordan's 11. A+ peak, A+ achievements, A+ longevity. clearly the GOAT by a mile
your co host looks like jordan poole, jordan love, and shaun livingston all at once. lightskin ahh boul.😂
his son
The thing that gets overlooked on the longevity of Lebron is the assumption that his stats in his prime were the most he was capable of. He could have averaged 35 10 and 10 every year for a decade, but chose not to because you don't win that way. Kareem, Jordan, Kobe and the other greats he mentioned looked diminished at 39 because their peak was maxed out. Lebrons was not. He did it in stretches when it was needed.
Lol no he can’t. 35-10-10 are you crazy? Bron likes his stats thats why he needs the offense to run through him and it works because he is extremely talented, a generational player but against a great team that plays in system his style rarely gets the job done.
@@cjcj6705You only say that because you frame it from the perspective of him caring about stats. The evidence says he does not even if you don't believe him when he says it. He lead the league in assists when he was asked to play point guard. He lead the league in shot % on post ups when he was asked to (2012-2014 Miami). He held mvp rose to less than 10% shooting in 4th quarters of their playoff matchup when he had to. He lead the finals in every major category when he had to. He averaged 34 12 and 10 in the finals when he had to. He's averaged 36 in the finals when he was the lone scorer. He just does everything well and the only thing that changes is the team needs.
@@tylerholt6828 because he does he literally played a meaningless game to complete 82 games and scored 10 pts to keep his double digit streak scoring alive and subbed himself out and that’s okay but it still shows he likes to get his numbers. He cannot play in a system. He averaged 36 but shot the ball more than 30 times a game while shooting under 40 percent. I always felt lebron loved to play all around too much and took away some of his teammate’s game. For example he turned kevin love into a spot up shooter when he was a scoring and rebounding machine in minny.
@@cjcj6705 I don't think picking one game out of 1000s and try to generalize based on that alone makes sense.
Regarding Love, he was just a good player on a bad team. He made the playoffs 0 times and when he was finally on a team with talent it became apparent quickly that he was the 3rd guy. Lebron tried feeding him in the post every 1st quarter of every game they played together. It gets to a point though where you have 2 all time great scorer being slowed down trying to help the system.
What you just said makes no sense. There are 2 people virtually averaging that right now and one just won a chip. The man won 1 scoring title in 21 years. ONE assists title in 21 years. Averages less steals than Magic. Dude is stat padding. If you can average 35 10 and 10(like Oscar did 57 years ago, Westbrook did, Luka and Jokic are doing presently), that increases your chances for winning. The less you provide, the less chance for winning. That's why role players aren't superstars.
The greatest player of all time king James...he is 💯 percent right 👉 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Even if lakers beat nuggets it would’ve went 6-7 games and killed the energy of the old team to play a second round. Lakers literally never had a chance to win anything this year.
Julian Edelman = Jamal Murray
nick now blaming the front office.
Talked too long on LeBron
If LeBron averaged what he averaged this season for his entire career, he would be ~40 points behind Kareem for all-time points. If Kareem averaged what he averaged in his final season for his entire career, he'd rank 135th all-time in scoring, just ahead of Jrue Holiday....
That's a great stat
Who the heck cares? Kareem was a more skilled and more accomplished player. And at least he won when the deck was stacked in his favor
@TheForkOnTheLeftist Calm down. I'm just putting what LeBron is doing in year 21 into context by comparing it to what Kareem was doing in year 20.
Nick your top 22 player all time list was a joke..no wade karl come on man...do better than that....
Nick loves to twist hypothetical situations to fit his narrative lol “If lebron switched with tatum the would be the same” then if they lose he would be blaming the coach and the other players lol
He compares jokic and murray stats to lebron and ad and says they cancel each other out. But murray and jokic were much better and didnt run out if gas. He talks about eye test when they talk about purdys stats. Eye test showed ad was pathetic late on games
Switch Tatum for LeBron and the Lakers probably don't make the playoffs..
Bronny James is a bum in college and you are talking about him.....rename your show...All Chiefs and Lebron
Nick will never compare age to age when it comes to lebron and past players. He’ll only go by year because most past players played multiple years of college. Not comparing apples to apples, such a flimsy argument he loves to do.
KD for KAT in the offseason for a trade
