    We really like the Johnny's hybrids. The white one won over customers who never liked the taste. Its very mild and no.aftertaste.

    But when they are inside how do we allow pollination if bees are not coming in?

    It would help in these videos to mention the varieties you grow and why you like them and why other growers should consider them. I was interested in what tomato varieties you grow.

    do you ever remove fruit/ flowers to limit stress on the plant?

    • @TheMarketGardeners
      @TheMarketGardeners  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we systematically prune the plants throughout the season! In short, our strategy is removing early fruits and suckers and then pruning lower leaves later on!

    I noticed something else growing next to the cucumbers in one shot... is that turmeric or ginger?

      @@TheMarketGardeners when i can find a landowner willing to lease the right piece of land, my first caterpillar tunnel is going to be ginger and turmeric, to help fund the second year's infrastructure build. I'm really looking forward to it

    Great farming system! I`m growing a Beit Alpha cucumbers inside this winter in a camper in Louisiana. I have about 12 of the little all-in-one hydro gardens but I`m doing the cucumber plant in a hydro bucket with progressively stronger lights as needed...10, 15, 20 & up to 34 watts. I hate when frosts come and my exciting battle with gonzo gardening ends except for boring cold weather greens, so I like to drag the insanity indoors! LOL! At least there`s no deer, bunnies, bugs, and armadillos in here. I have about a dozen types of dwarf and micro dwarf tomatoes and just got a new tabletop garden just in time to transplant two Pinocchio tomato seedlings into it. My other latest experiment is Watercress from seeds in a coffee container in a solution with clay pebbles. It`s growing but slower than I expected. I`m gonna go look in the creek and see if any is out there now that I can 100% identify it.

      that's a great english variety we like yes, and for Lebanese we like Katrina

    • @TheMarketGardeners
      @TheMarketGardeners  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes we use hybridized varieties that are parthenocarpic so they don't need pollinators, which also allows us to keep insect nets on the greenhouse since we don't need pollinators to come in!

    Jm, I trellis my cukes in my greenhouse similar to what it looks like you do but lose about 25-30% to scaring. Yours all look perfect. Do you ever have this problem? From what I understand it’s the immature fruit rubbing on the stem or leaves. Any tips?
