My dutch grandpa goes there I think two times a year for a month or so and now I his 18 year old grandson gets to join him. I am really looking forward to see what Bali is all about it sounds like paradise to me.
Yes, I also love Sanur and much prefer the quiet and serenity of the village feel it offers. The only downside (and it was also shown in your video) is the burying of rubbish along the beach. I was shocked when I first saw it and surprised it's still happening.
The beach area out the front of the Andaz Hotel and Hyatt Regency is very clean, with a large section of sand. The staff at these 5 star hotels clean to beach every morning.
Thank you for your fab video. We are staying in Sanur in August 2024 for our honeymoon before going on to Ubud for our second week. Now can't wait to chill on that beach! ❤
Thanks for your lovely comment. Glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great time in Sanur, a perfect destination for a relaxing honemoon. Enjoy! You have the perfect name for hanging on the beach ;)
Thank you for this. I'm travelling to Bali next year for a yoga retreat which ends in Sanur. As my flight isn't until midnight, I'll have all day to wander. Thank you for showing me what's available
We have been visiting Sanur since 1982. Love the slower pace and particularly the beach front walk. Great video.😮 we also spend time in Amed. It's a really lay back, relatively undeveloped part of Bali. Beautiful coral and marine life.
Hi, your video presentation is so professional. Thanks so much for sharing.. It's so great to see the changes in Sanur particularly the widening of the footpath. That will make things so much easier for everybody. I havent been to Sanur since 2019 but will be back again in the next couple of months and I'm so looking forward to it 😊🌴🏖✈ Thanks again.
Thanks for this video! We will fly from Amsterdam to Bali next Saturday (1st October) and will stay in The Alantara hotel in Sanur for 18 nights. Can't wait!
@@nowgettheretravel thank you so much!! curious..in your opinion is March good weather? Also wondering, what the bug situation is there with so much tropical surroundings 😳thanks so much!
March is the very end of the wet season so will be hot and humid. Expect maybe afternoon showers but you should have sunny mornings. Be prepared for mosquitos. All time of year you need to wear mosquito repellent. Make sure you put it on late afternoon and into the evening.
@@nowgettheretravel THANK YOU!!!! I can handle mosquitos... glad that is all you mentioned..I've heard there can be bugs such as cockroaches and the likes...I will def be brining my mosquito repellent!! Can't tell you how much I appreciate your insight! thank you again ;)

Your video’s of Sanur are Amazing! My father lived in Jl. Pantai Karang street next to Smorgas café. Nice to see all the memories back and what had changed from 2012.
Thank you so much. I have been visiting Sanur for over 20 years. Much has changed and still alot has remained the same. it still has a lovely village feel to it, less busy than the other tourist areas of Bali. Sanur is my favourite place to stay in Bali
Great video. Arriving in Sanur this week for the first time, and you gave us a good overview (as well as some of the more offbeat attractions, which are exactly what we are looking for). And agree with what you say: "that one dollar means more to them." Matur suksma
Hey. Great video as always. Are you in Bali in October? Would love to shout you a beer and get some tips. My wife and I love your no nonsense videos showing Bali. Cheers mate and thanks again 🙏
I stay in Sanur every trip to Bali, staying there again in October/November. Always eat at the Sanur Night Market. There have been a few changes from what I've seen on TH-cam but all seem to have made it better, eg the new beach walking path, the new boat ticket area etc. I have however never snorkelled at Sanur, am interested in knowing where I can go that is just off the beach like you have mentioned in this video???
There is a rocky reef that runs parallel to the beach from central Sanur going down to the south. I have snorkelled a few times just a bit south from the Turtle conservation centre. At low tide you can walk out to the reef. I have seen plenty of cool stuff, baby moray eels, nudibranch, stone fish, Scorpion fish. Best to wear shoes to walk out, I had some dive boots on as there are sharp rocks, dead coral and you don't want to step on a stonefish. At low tide you are snorkelling in very shallow water 0 5m - 1m deep
@@nowgettheretravel awesome, thanks for the heads up, I have already got my booties packed lol so will have to see if I can find the spot, when there in a few weeks time. Thanks for the reply and video.
I found your video very interesting. We’re staying @ Lovina Beach Resort for 10 nights. They don’t have as many tourists, mainly European’s Germany, Holland, Sweden and U.K. There are more Australian Xpats living there permanently & then we’re making our way down to Sanur & staying there for 2-3 nights. We usually go to Legian Beach on our way back to Australia. Looking forward to our holiday. Last time there was 2019 before Covid.
Thanks for the video, I was planning to go to Sanur to check around but now, after watching your top 10, I won't go for sure. Looks super boring :) Thanks again, you saved me a lot of time which I can spend somewhere else in Bali
We will be over there for 3 weeks shortly with an 11-year-old who likes to keep busy and I'm planning to split it up between sometime in legian and some in Kuta but now considering adding some time in Sanur do you think three nights is enough. To have a good look around and experienced it?
3 nights in Sanur would be a minimum. Legian and Kuta are right next to each other so nothing gained staying in both those locations. Kuta has some great activities for kids, like the waterbom park.
You should probably try to spend a few more nights in Sanur and organise some day trips from there. Get across to Nusa Lembongan island, go up to the wildlife park / marine park.
@@nowgettheretravel yes I know they are next to each other it's more about breaking it up into different resorts to experience and try different places and being close to different warungs etc. have been the waterbom and will definitely be going again

Yes, you are right. Strange behaviour but typical Balinese mentality. if you can't see it, then no problems.
