- After two years of construction, Steel Vengeance (formally Mean Streak), got it's first public riders on media day, so here are some people's reactions while riding this new hyper hybrid roller coaster, when this coaster opens to the general public, it'll be the tallest, fastest, and longest hybrid roller coaster in the world!
Steel Vengeance, formerly known as Mean Streak, is asteel roller coaster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. The roller coaster is being manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) and is expected to open on May 5, 2018. It will feature RMC's patented I-Box Track technology utilizing a significant portion of Mean Streak's former support structure. Upon completion, Steel Vengeance will set 10 world records.
Originally constructed by the Dinn Corporation, Mean Streak opened to the public on May 11, 1991, as the tallest wooden coaster in the world with the longest drop height. Cedar Point closed Mean Streak on September 16, 2016, casting doubt and uncertainty regarding the ride's future. The park dropped subtle hints over the following year that the ride was being refurbished. On August 16, 2017, Cedar Point officially announced the conversion of Mean Streak into Steel Vengeance, marketed as the first hybrid hypercoaster.

He'll be fine. After his medical examination, it was determined that his scrotum contained ovaries instead of testicles. They went ahead and transplanted those ovaries with testicles, and he no longer screams like a bitch. He also no longer enjoys wine spritzers and sangria, favouring Scotch whiskey with a beer back. He has even stopped going to bar restrooms in a group. Things are looking up for that guy.

I so feel for him. I went on Nitro Six Flags N.J. years ago, around Halloween and it was after sunset. I had no idea what was to come, that first climb was like never ending, and I screamed nonstop from the first drop till the very end. It was sooooo much fun! Adrenalin rushing through my body, I couldn’t speak for like half an hour after. I released so much tension in those three or four minutes. Absolutely amazing feeling. He must have felt the same after. Awesome

P.S. for those who don't know, Alan works at RMC and once worked at Arrow Dynamics for some time.
It must be a good feeling seeing a lot of people ride something that you designed and liking it a lot.
Seeing Alan Shilke in the background just made my day 😂 I love that this man exists; because of him and RMC we have some of the craziest coasters out there.

So fortunate to be able to ride this master class of a ride. I waited 1 hour and 40 minutes in rain and one brief closing in order to ride it. 100% worth it. The hype is real. It is not over rated. Everything people say about it is true.

Thank you for making this video. It was obviously time consuming and you did a great job. It’s getting harder to find something to live up to the hype and hoopla but this is it! It’s rare to see a Coaster garnish this type of excitement and the energy is contagious!!

Drove all the way from Austin to ride Steel Vengeance and it was even better than I could’ve ever imagined. Worth every mile of highway we traversed to get there! I can’t wait to go back. I guess living fairly close to Iron Rattler is a pretty decent consolation prize

Going to Cedar Point June 30. I'm bolting to this thing when gates open. There's not a lot of people faster than me from where I live. I feel pretty confident.
Lately they've been keeping it closed until noon, so keep that in mind. It was like that when I went last week, and other people said it was like that the whole week before too.

Fox 8's Kenny was amazing! I love their on-air personalities, and Kenny was making me laugh the entire journey! Thank you for pointing out the coaster creator btw! This was very cool! This year my son and I rode SV as his first coaster and I chortled the entire time with the feeling I was going to fall out of my seat! He was not pleased and swore to never ride another coaster! (A few hours later he rode the Corkscrew and liked that one better, lol! Oh well!)

This is one of the only coasters to make me lose my composure, seeing that drop from the line was absolutely terrifying and going up and down it even more so. Best coaster on earth for me, so insane!
Lmao for those who have yet to ride this crazy ass coaster, here are two things you should know about her. One: that first drop is the easiest throughout the ride. and two: She will not let you hold on to her. just let your hands go and ride it out

From a business standpoint ONLY. If you can imagine another steel hyper-hybrid roller coaster, hopefully built by Intamin (Werner Stengel a German Design Engineer responsible for introducing the Maverick). Note: Werner Stengel was not given the task of the Steel Vengeance, nevertheless, Design Engineer Alan Schilke, designed the concept. Since 1964, only 17 roller coasters exist underneath Cedar Fair LP's belt @CP. Fun Fact: CP has an estimated 3.6 million visitors per year and the CP openned in 1870. According to an anonymous source (RZ and JM), Intamin could potentially be in the stages of designing a VR for it's 150th Anniversary. While trial and error is being conducted (hense the Iron Dragon), the only question is... how will it stand in comparison to other parks. RZ, will focus on "Incremental Audiences," furthermore, there are numerous customer feedback stations located throughout CP (enough to make note of as unusual). Visitors are craving something new every year, however, 2019 could possibly be a complete makeover for CP. Offering new upgrades to many CP attractions providing an ultimate guest experience like no other. Along with the remodeling phase, rumors of VR technology ARE real. If you could design a VR roller coaster, what would you call it, what colors would be, and what track elements (e.g. Inclined Loops, Inline Twists, Airtime Hills) are your favorite?

The remarkable thing is that there’s like almost no rattle. The train shakes as all trains would on a coaster, but for some reason opting for those squared beams instead of circular beams made it smoother. Which seems like it’d be the other way around.
