I bought this gun little over a month ago put bout 500 or 600 rounds through it not a single jam or any malfunction for the price you cant beat it very pleased with Taurus
@@gifted6305 I actually figured it out since I posted this I am firing 125 grain and I usually shoot 115 they are slightly longer and for some reason dont want to eject the 115s do if I dont clean it after 20 shots it jams basically 1 clip and halfway through the other 1 it jams
I purchased the TH9 a few months ago. I love the ease of use. It's simple to take apart and reassemble. The recoil is predictable and the weight is very manageable. My only knitpick is the lack of aftermarket parts. I grabbed the stainless steel guiderod and new spring. Decent improvement but i can't find a threaded barrel anywhere under the sun. All in all, with the price of $275. This pistol is a hell of a deal and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and cost friendly firearm. (Even came with a discount voucher for quality open carry holster)
Excellent Gun, especially for the Price! The features included w/ the th9c, are not present with more expensive pistols. I've Owned one for over a year and could not be happier. I bought mine, and matted w/ olight mini it's like the were meant for each other. Outstanding package! My only stipulations with this pistol I have leaned, if you are going to use it in a ccw/Self-D scenario; Guarantee that you only use high quality S-D ammo, as I have a ran multiple brands, even Federal 147g hollows and they do function as it should, but it did jam here and they're. I finally got frustrated, and investigated the source, after chase some theories, I discovered the distance between the magazine lip and the feed ramp tolerance are very tight. Therefore the Quality of ammunition used needs repeatable and dependable. When I broke out the digital Caliper and inspected the individual rounds that kept jamming, or Failed to Feed. I found a discrepancies in them all; when the bullet was pressed into the shell casing, all had different depths, the bullet seating was not uniformed ans some completely out of spec. for a 9mm cartridge. The pistol was telling me the whole time which pills were "No BUENO". Hope this helps someone, BULLET SEATING MATTERS.
I own a Taurus PT111, G1 version, and a Taurus 905. No problems with any of the weapons, whatsoever. The next three I plan to buy are a Taurus TH9, wife says that I may have one for Christmas. A Taurus 692, when they become available. And a Taurus 191109-9, when I can finally find one.
I own the th9c and I got to tell you I love it. I have had several handguns over the years and some really expensive ones so I was completely shocked when something at this price point performed like a much more expensive model. I have only one complaint regarding this gun and that is in the magazine release. It takes quite a while to work that thing in so that release is nice and easy. It got there but it took me a year and a half to get it there. When I first got it it was stiff as a board and you really had to bear down on that release button to get it to drop out. But the weapon itself in my humble opinion is awesome.
You just have to keep them clean and for anyone with issues of it not ejecting and trying to load one in behind it try smaller grain bullets that fixed my issue
@Philip Deppen I respect your opinion but In my opinion it is more about this gun and not about affordability. I can afford more expensive firearms but I chose the previous (PT) series as a carry conceal - home defense firearm for my needs. My PT 809, 809c and PT 840 are all very reliable and all have over 500 rounds fired each and I plan to buy the TH40c soon. Out of my current selection I have had only one round ( ammo related) not fire ( bent shell casing from Blazer). No ftf, no light strikes all bangs and I chose my firearms by style, features and price to performance. Please don't bash anyone who cannot afford a "better firearm" as even the big names have flaws too.
They talk about gun your wife can use...this is it....slide racks much easier than most on the market...great fealing in your hand...no failures...very pleased!!
Other than selling hundreds of tauruses since the early 90s at my pops gunshop and rarely ever having one come back i have owned three myself. A 1st gen revised pt111 Millenium. No issues. A pt111 g2 no issues and completed a training course with it scoring a 243 out of 250. And lastly my 92AF that shoots better and has a much smoother trigger than my pals berreta 92. He says hes jelly about paying 300 more for a berreta. So yeah. My two cents
I love how he just softballs these questions to their marketing rep. "Does it have an interchangeable back strap for my wife?" Funny you should mention that... it has an interchangeable back strap
Exactly. I placed an order for a guide rod assembly for my Taurus PT709 slim. A lady named Asilynne informed me that they were is stock so I was stupid enough to place the order. Months have gone by. When I call and talked to Jason he informed me that it has been released. Still no part. I have emailed customer service and they will not even respond and they never refunded my money. I would purchase any American made pistol over a Taurus any day. Dont waste you money.
It just takes a long time to get that thing worked in properly. I know what you're saying though that mag release button is something else. No fast magazine changes until you really broke it in hard.
@@josepaulof.v5345 As someone else said the magazines are the same but base plate is different. You can put a TH9 base plate on the 809 mag.and it will work fine in a TH9
I have on 3 tauruses all 3 had to be sent back all 3 are junk cars has absolutely poor quality control inconsistency with product and Build their guns with inferior material I just ran across this video on TH-cam And would just like to say that there has to be a better option out there possibly on the used market because Taurus is absolute garbage
i have 3 Taurus pistols a pt111 pro and 2 pt92s have probably put 600 rounds between the pt111 and 1 of the 92's and have never had a problem other than a bad aftermarket magazine on the pt 92. i have never had an issue with any of my taurus's in fact the only brand of gun that i have ever had to send back was a glock G40. and eventually will need to send back my Redhawk both guns that are usually thought of as being higher quality and both have not been fired near as much
I just got the th9 two weeks ago, amazing pistol, quality and good price.

I remember when they first put these guns on their official website they had an option of .40 cal as well, I wonder what happened?
How much is this Beauty?
Mine jams all the time and I keep it spotless I'm trying to figure out wtf is going on here
Dalton Coulson easy answer, it’s a Taurus.

Taurus 9MM's are the best reliability and construction they are incredible
Best reliable?pros: value, availabilitycons: not near as reliable as a glock (and I am not a glockster)

Love Taurus
can u guys try to do a review of the new Taurus 1911 commander and officer model
If you have a light mounted, finding a good holster is not going to be fun. I'm still looking. Other than that, I like mine.
You can go to the gun show and get a custom made kydex for about $50
Old thread, anyway, go custom. Order one in kydex and problem solved.
Can u put a laser on the Taurus Th9 9mm
I love Taurus pistols, but until they make a big improvement in customer service I won't be buying another.
From what i have heard and seen they have improved.. watch this video from: who_tee_who... he shows you his warranty experience with a spectrum 380

Should make a th45
I know your comment is old but they do now!
How to use landyard to 9c?
which is the better of the two: G2C or TH9C ???
They both suck.
Looking for extra magazines for the TH9.. I cant seem to find the ones for this pistol.. Which magazines do I need to buy for the TH9..??
mrich2222 rich buy the th9 mag for full size, th9c mag for the compact
Impossible to find spare magazines for apparently.
Gun Grab has them $30
Too bad Taurus has only a 1e year warranty now.
Back to lifetime as of March and that includes guns bought before that.
Will a th9 barrel fit in a th9c?
You mean mag? Yes
Been tryna figure this out. Appreciate it. I’m finna get a drum
Does it have the safety decocker combination. You kinda skipped over that in you description.
elcues yes.
I dont like striker fire.
Fel Ta good thing this particular firearm is hammer fire

how do I get the mag release to work easy on my TH 9

Fuck I cant find any videos about cleaning these guns at all I have the th9c and I'm new to guns I cant figure out how to get the firing pin out
Are the magazines from the pt809 compatible with this model?
rudysr22 I think they used a different baseplate so it won't fit but the magazines are the same just a different baseplate.
does not, since the magazine of the TH9 is Italian (mec-gar) and of the 809 of the own taurus
