Me too. I listened when I was about four or five and then I spent years trying to find the song again, i didnt know where was It from. I discovered many many years later thanks to TH-cam
Kendra Johnson me to I always remember this film I loved it so many memories as a little girl years have passed I’m 32 in June so this film is old but gold have a good day sister love from Scotland in the uk 🇬🇧
i watched this movie on a vhs tape many times when i was a little boy i love this song, i always remember it and tear up each time i hear it.i carry the great wisdom i got from this fairy godmother still to this day and i always will . im so grateful . may all beings experience love, peace and harmony every single day and be carried away from the illusions/Traps and be lead to a state of eternal bliss. Omg OMG memories as a little girl crying to this song I loved this film wish I was a little girl again I’m 32 this year don’t want to grow up I stilll have the little child inside my heart and the light inside my heart ❣ hope everyone has a great day and stay blessed ❤️❤️❤️
believe it or not out of all the songs from growing up in the 80's...this is the song that reoccurs in my mind the most...i remember that my choir director in church used this song for the choir to sing....thank you for the memories...
I remember I had to listen to this song no less than 10 times before moving on to the rest of the movie. It meant something to me at the age of 8. Now at the tender age of 26 (31), it means even more. I will ALWAYS love this song!!!!! I will ALWAYS love this movie!!!!!
I remember watching this as a young child. I loved the blue fairy and her song but then I was absolutely TRAUMATISED by the scene where Pinocchio gets slowly turned back into puppet by being forced to dance while screaming for help! It gave me nightmares for over a month where I was also turned into a puppet and in the end my mum had to get rid of the video because I was so distressed and wouldn’t go to bed because of the nightmares!
This movie is beyond incredible, it's amazing and fantastic. When I first saw the thumbnails of this film, I wasn't interested, but now, I've decided to give it a chance and I have to say, I have never in my life seen a "Pinocchio" film like this. Now I see why everyone here on TH-cam has been giving these videos and clips of the movie positive comments. I simply adore Pinocchio's reaction at 1:50 when the Blue Fairy strikes him with magic and it makes him glow in a blue color
Same here. I was the same age when I first heard it. Funny how, even so young... we were able grasp what the truly important things in life were! To me, this song is pure truth - you can't do anything without love, and I will love this song/movie forever.
I remember, when I was just a toddler, I would sit around my nans house and watch films that she brought from the charity shops. One day after watching "Willow" she said I hope you like this one and handed me this, I watched it everyday for at least one year, sadly I recently stood on it, but I'm searching for a VHS of it as we speak.
i used to watch this as a little kid when i went to my grandparents house. i would sing this all the time around the house and hum it at the dinner table. good memories with this movie :)
Thank god Ricky Lee Jones is still alive. I first saw this movie when I was about six or seven and yes this movie has a much darker tone to it then the Disney film, but this song at the time made it worth watching it. I hope I can meet Ricky one day and thank her for my most pleasant memory as her playing the voice role as "The Good Fairy/Fairy God Mother."
Ah, so I'm not the only one who prefers this one to the Disney film? great! :) I mean, sure it's a little disturbing in places but that never stopped six/seven-year-old me watching it more than once. Darkness is needed in a children's product to help them grasp the concepts and make it more interesting. I mean really, the Disney Pinnochio really only had the donkey and whale scenes going for it, and even then I don't like those much.
Psalms 27:1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Lyrics; [Vocal direction: sound drunk] You have heart and soul enough You need them both when life is rough But nothing works without love, so let love guide your way You are free to go and be whatever you may want to be But when the night sets around you, remember what I've said; Love is the light inside your heart, when you stumble in the dark, If you only let love shine, there's no deceiving, You'll find out, it's all relieving Love is the light inside your heart, it won't let life fall apart, So keep on shining your light every night, And in this turning world, when I see you again Well, I hope you still know, what makes the HEART glow, Love is the light inside your heart, where your freedom has to start, And wherever you may be, feel this light of love [it?] will set you free, Look for the light, Still burning bright, The love is the light inside your heart~
What a delight to find this songs after decades I remember I don't much remember the film yhat aired on tv ,the more I remember this song and the blue fairy me and my sister use to hum this song and as we grew old tried searching for this movie but couldn't find so I assumed that the song was our imaginated melody ahhh but I finally got my memories back with tears....no matter if we have the time machine for real but certainly there are lot more elements that are time travelling.
I remember the VHS case for this light up and played a song if you pushed the "Pharos's Ruby". It wasn't a song from the movie, but I can't remember for the life of me what song it was. Anyone remember?
Oh my gosh ... I just remember a lot of thing when I watch this song ... I was around 5 years old, and my parents had money problems, and my mother cried by hearing it and told me that Love is really a light inside somebody's heart ...
I really like it so much because I really think The song is so beautiful and so lovely animation music video in the whole world 😍. She has a beautiful voice of a angel ⭐️.
I watched the FUCKKKKKKK out of this movie growing up. It was on almost every week at my afterschool program. Probably seen it a total of 200+ times lol.
I found this on one of BlackBustercritic's streams (If you don't know who that is, he's a funny ass youtuber) Anyway, I really enjoy the animation... I see a ton of work and time went into this, especially the sparkles. The thing is... the singer wasn't the best option.. She sounds out of key, muffled and stuffy.... Which is sad, because I looked up her music and she sounds alot better there than here! and, the instrumental sounds so pretty and a bit creepy.. She honestly sounds high on something here. I do want to watch this, because looking at this animation and reading the comments, it seems to have some horror and freaky things in it. So I'll add this onto my WatchList. Thanks BBC, you did it again-
There’s too much echo in her voice. They could have gotten rid of it for when she sang as Rickie Lee Jones has a wonderful singing voice - it doesn’t need to hide behind echo and reverb
@@bboyPR I have it on DVD and there’s an echo. It’s used on her speaker voice, which makes sense if you want her to be this ethereal character, but as an adult, it does distract from her singing
This 1987 animated classic maybe hard to understand, because it was a box-office failure after it was released on Christmas Day of 1987 and the Walt Disney Studios sued Filmation Studios for doing copyright issues. This Blue Fairy song makes me feel that this is the universal theme for the generation of Pinocchio and ourselves as we were once children of the late 1980s. I feel a lot better being a little boy than being a 29 year old adult with no more hair growing as I have now lost my hair. I love Pinocchio!
Love is the Light inside you heart It would let it fall apart, So keep on shine Your light every day!
And this is turning world and I see you again And I hope you're still know What makes your heart love. To this very day, this is one of my favorite songs on the subject of love!

In love? Love is fake, anger, hatred and depression is real in real life.

Pinocchio has a heart of gold.

I love this film. Beautiful in its own right. An original and one of the best independent animation films.
18 yr old but still this is gold 👍😊

I still have my original vhs copy complete with musical flashing box! Love this movie and I’m 33 now
I love EVERYTHING from the 80's, no doubt. Quality will never match up to how it was back then.

Lyrics;
[Vocal direction: sound drunk]
You have heart and soul enough
You need them both when life is rough
But nothing works without love,
so let love guide your way
You are free to go and be whatever you may want to be
But when the night sets around you, remember what I've said;
Love is the light inside your heart, when you stumble in the dark,
If you only let love shine, there's no deceiving,
You'll find out, it's all relieving
Love is the light inside your heart, it won't let life fall apart,
So keep on shining your light every night,
And in this turning world, when I see you again
Well, I hope you still know, what makes the HEART glow,
Love is the light inside your heart, where your freedom has to start,
And wherever you may be, feel this light of love [it?] will set you free,
Look for the light,
Still burning bright,
The love is the light inside your heart~
Drunk? Wasn't she in coke at the time?
Yeah.....she was high on cocaine so that's why she sounds really off here.
The endless light of love will set you free
Thank you for saying it!
I don't know, she's always sounded like this. I don't think she likes to enunciate!

So beautiful! I love songs from the old animated films that are sung good, especially well it's played with only a Keyboard or 2.

They have, but I think it was a pirated DVD that only lived for like a year or two. :(
