Bravo Coach Meike. I am so happy to hear the closed stance is not extinct. I teach this old traditional style to all first time young juniors 5-7y olds here in Northern Calif and they have great success with it. When they are ready and capable I introduce them open stance. Yes, there is too much emphasis on open stance that most coaches no longer teach the closed stance. Thank you. Coach Dudley
Great lesson Meike! My coach in the 80s used to call the double hop step the forehand karioka. For the small ones on the baseline he would call it the Pink Panther. Yeap, this is confirmation about me being a 70s kid. LOL. Cheers and keep up the great work. M
