    5:03 even Rider had that euro steps before the term was coined.
    Jordan at this age was just the most deadly mid-ranger shooter in the history of the game. Nothing even come close since he retired.

      Of course. Nothing in the modern NBA is new.

    Shame we didn’t see Sabonis in the NBA until so late into his career. By the time he came to the NBA, his mobility and health had severely declined. Jordan loved playing against Rider as Rider was a big trash talker and that started when he was in Minnesota playing with KG. You could also see Jordan interact with Wallace as they both played for Dean Smith at UNC. Dean Smith is the only coach I can recall that Jordan referred to as “coach” as he referred to Phil Jackson and Doug Collins by name. Jordan had an immense respect for Dean Smith and looked at him as a father like figure.

      Sabonis played his best years for the USSR and his achievements in the NBA pale in comparison to his achievements in the USSR. In the USSR there were super coaches, super sports and super athletes. The NBA is a big show.

      I agree w all this but would add that even late in his career Sabonis was really good. An amazing passer and rebounder with incredibly high basketball IQ

    That shot over rider had him looking so defeated lol. It’s ok JR, mike did that to everybody

      Jr don't feel bad Jordan literally made the best player's look like they were still in high-school for the most part. When a team that literally had a set of rules to defend him could only contain him to 37.5 a game most of the time. That team was the Pistons and their guard Isiah Thomas said he still got 37.5 against us and sometimes he got hot.

    The 1998 Trail Blazers were very hard to figure out, they went 3-1 against the 62-20 Jazz yet they went 2-2 against the 11-71 Nuggets.

    3:15 - Now that's what I came to see. Wallace's putback dunk. He caught Rodman sleeping.

    please tell me why the blazers went far in the 1990 1991 and 1992 playoffs and then ended up getting eliminated in the 1st round from 1993 through 1998

    • @optimusprimeshead5369
      @optimusprimeshead5369 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They were early round knockouts before 1991 as well. They had a transition period after 1992 where they got older and their roster started to shift.
