  • A nice rhythm which was brought to Cuba by the Yorubas. They also brought this rhythm to Brasil, but that is an other version.... I will explain in a slow tempo how they play this rhythm in Cuba.

    Maestro,
It's great you are teaching this traditional playing. It reminds me of my visit to, Cuba, several years ago. Thank you for the great lesson and your wonderful teachings.

I don't know omolote for Yemaya, but I do know that this rhythm is used a lot for the orishas, but in a different way then the bata rhythms.....

Theoretically speaking, if you had to put the Clave reference, then looking at 11:43 where would it be 2-3 or 3-2??
    Thanks

I want to know why are they different, I know that's getting technical but ijesa is a region in Nigeria maybe they developed creatively in different countries.

I have the same interest as you. Was the difference already made in Nigeria or in Brasil and Cuba? I don't know. I've red some books about Yoruba's in Nigeria, but they didn't give me the answers...

Well you know, there is now clave in this rhythm, but theoretically if I had to put a clave in it, it would be 3/2.

Would this be the same as omolote for Yemaya?
