ලංකාවේ රාජ්ය ආයතන කියන්නේ කාලකණ්නි ආයතන ටිකක්. කවදාවත් ෆොරින්ග් එන්වෙස්ට්මන්ට් එකක් නම් කරගන්න හිතන්නවත් බෑ. මගේ හිටියා Canadian ක්ලයන්ට් කෙනක් ලංකාවේ හොටෙල් පද්ධතියක් හදන්න කැමටි උන.. අන්තිමට ඉඩම බලලා ඉඩම් ගන්න සල්ලි එවද්දි හෙන කේස් එකක් වෙලා අන්තිමට ක්ලයන්ටම එපා වෙලා වැඩේ නැවැත්තුවා..

Sri lankan bureaucracy in all Government Depts,
e.g. if you want to pay rs 100 to get a copy of a report,you have to go to in person with cash get a voucher( from their office in the same Complex) and go to their Accountant of Govi janaseva Dept,(in the same Complex)
I asked giving several calls to the authorities of the Govi Janaseva Dept,Southern Region,Matara
asking the account number of the respective Govi Janaseva Dept ,
Unfortunately, the authoritities say there is no such a system in the Dept that you can pay the fee ONLINE
to its account.
Every Govijanaseva asst Commisioner dept in that region should have a account in its name.
Unless we clear these red barriers(bureaucracy) we will never come up or progress???

Whats sad about this whole discussion is that you soon realise that Sri Lanka at some level has the required talent and ideas and knowhow inhouse to make the necessary reforms to change the pathway of this country to a positive one.. HOWEVER we lack the sad part is that government lacks the initiative to select that proper talent for the right positions and lacks the willingness to make those changes and regulations and processes required so this country move forward..
And whats not in this discussion is while we habve this pool if people at a certain level the majority voter base that we need to put a right government (right people in power) are not is the same thinking.. they all want government jobs and politicians who come for their weddings and funerals and can transfer their kids to a different school or who cime to "ජාතිය බේරගන්න්" not only the majority ජාතිය but also the miniorities too..
A root to this problem from my point of view is the changing of the national language to Sinhala and making that the working language. If we had English as the working language we can sort most of this racism or race based politics that exist because people have a common language they can communicate in to understand that we all have the same issue be it north or south. And mostly the knowledge of English will open up the wold world to us because global knowledge is stored on the internet in english and anyone with a small tech knowledge and english knowledge can access that global knowledge which is on the internet.. and even a barrier to learn basic tech is not knowing english as tech is also in english.
Not only investments are not coming. When investments are brought by us the Sri Lankans the Minister himself ask for funds. I am telling this because I know it by facts as we tried it. Then next is all the people do investments are not millionaires. They try to see what benefits they get extra for the investing ?what they look for is tax benefits etc
