Thanks for taking us along on your Adventure in Kiln Maintenance. I have a JenKen fiber kiln as well (the 16), and this is great information I hope I will never need 😁, but a person's luck can only hold out so long.
Hi jamaison This was a wonderful video. I recently had an issue. Had to call a repair person. It was a simple connection situation, but I was afraid to attempt it on my own. It was really good to see u delve in n take care of it. Kins are really not that complicated, but it take some guts to try it on ur own. I think this will encourage many to at least open panels n look fr obvious issues. Thnks again
I absolutely LOVE Jen Ken as a company, they are so helpful! I also had a relay failure, but mine kept getting hotter, even with the kiln being shut off. I recognized the issue and flipped a breaker (plug was behind the kiln and hard to reach). I called Jen Ken while they were prepping for Hurricane Milton and spoke to Jen who then had Mike call me back. He had me text photos to him and sent me photos to help me with wiring and also suggested replacing both relays. Despite the fact that they were in the process of battening down the hatches for a hurricane, he sent out the shipment that afternoon before they shut down. I just received them the other day and will attempt replacing today.
Glad you're up and running again. Great job on tackling an intimidating kiln issue.
GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing! You made this so less scary! Your awesome! :-)

Wow, great service!
The relay is always my first bet.
Glad it’s working
And Jen is amazing
VOLTAGE METER WILL LET U KNOW. I THINK?
Good idea!
You need to apply power to a relay to see if it's bad. Ask me how I know. 😂 Then you can check with a multi-meter.
