What I really like most about this guy is his ability to clearly highlight the main points using live examples. It’s actually a relaxing channel to watch because you can tell this guy isn’t trying too hard. He just knows his material cold.

Thanks for the kind words. This video is actually pretty old, you should definitely check out some of the newer material. I've improved how I produce videos in a few areas since this video.

I did this, and although i ran into some dependency issues, it actually ran pretty well. The problem is when I decided to remove it, I don't know exactly how to do it,
I hope that you'd make a series on make/checkinstall/tar kind of tutorials in the future.

How'd you learn all this and more? I'm a Computer Engineering student at UCF and I just started some software classes (intro classes based in C; upper level classes expand to more languages) I would like to become more well rounded upon graduation in a couple of years. Any advice?

I'd suggest on doing an episode on how to include a graphical toolkit (preferably a widely-supported one) in a C/C++/Bash (even) program and how to control some basic program flow using the graphical interface.

    • @EngineerMan
      @EngineerMan  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Do you mean like a tutorial on how to create a simple GUI and connect those components with C/C++? Maybe Qt?

    • @octavianc.2569

Yes! But do GTK3 instead because it seems more simple :)

    • @EngineerMan

Yeah, I was thinking Qt or GTK, I've done both so it won't be a problem. Stay tuned!

Usually when someone tries to get into developing open source software, they get overwhelmed and have no idea how to start.. 😅 🌹
Can you touch that subject? Say getting started with Blender development?
As how to find the manual, configure your work ⚒ environment, fix a bug 🐛 and submit a patch?
I personally burned a lot of rubber without moving anywhere. 😅 🌹
    Thanks!

Click on the settings icon in the video. It looks like a gear wheel located between the CC (Closed Caption) icon and the Mini Player icon at the bottom right of the video. When you click the settings icon, you'll see a item for Playback Speed. Click that. Now you have 3 choices to slow the video. Hope this helps.

Hey Sir - I am starting to enjoy Linux.
A few years ago, I gave up when I attempted with Red Hat Shrike.
I have an issue now I cant seem to fix.
    1, I have a DVB-T stick, basically a Freeview TV USB stick.
The software is available on the Repo on Linux Mint, but I want to learn how to make it a .DEB file.
Could you or somebody please help me?
Engineer man, I am still new to LM and I am on 19.2 now.
    This is the App
