Your plants are beautiful. At first when you put those two small Monstera’s in all that soil, I thought you were nuts. But Monstera grow fast and have robust rooting systems. You can’t do that with every plant. Especially the watering daily. But you definitely have something working for you 👍🏽
I now realize I need to make more videos going into greater depth as to how and why I do what I do. I really thought everyone would just think I was nuts. I'm a little worried that people are just going to start watering daily and expect their plants to grow like crazy. I need to make sure they understand drainage, temperature, humidity and lighting. Thanx for watching.
Your channel showed up in my feed today and I watched your video. I’m so happy I watched your video. Love your straight to the point explanations. I also love how health your plants are.
THIS is exactly what I was searching for! Informational, shows and explains the care process, AND has beautiful plants that back up the results! I watched countless other youtubers preach care tips - while I witnessed the saddest looking plants in their background 😭 Hands down some of the best looking plants on youtube I've seen!! 🙌
Oh wow your room is everything!! Looks like mine with the aquarium! My pothos is in there, trailing all over the room. Also you have such a pleasant demeanor/speaking style and voice 🤩
And by the way… thank you for mentioning my favorite granular insecticide, BONIDE! I swear by that stuff. It’s the only effective way to have houseplants and NOT have fungus gnats and other pests. Well; it’s not the only way, it’s just the most effective method. It lasts just about as long as Osmocote or other granulated fertilizers. 3-6 months. All these Plant-Tubers are running around worrying about their plants, the spider mites, thrips, etc., and yet I’ve heard only three people recommend Bonide Systemic Insect Houseplant control. It’s just a godsend. I’ve used it since 2008. Indoors or outdoors for potted, it truly works. I don’t find that it takes a while to start to work, though. It’s fairly fast-acting… some ppl talk about watering with Mosquito Bits, and while that works, Bonide is just too good! I guess I shouldn’t be talking-it-up so much, lest everyone find out and buy it all off the shelf!
Awesome find ..just stumbled across your channel..so interesting..great information and tips I will apply.. Especially the moss poles Thanks for inviting us along
20:39 I just found your channel and so happy I did .You answered all my questions .The issues im going thru with my plants.Thank you so much Love all your plants .
Ooh my Goodness you have Beautiful Pretty Plants that looks like they’re Loving you back for the Love youuu give them they are for sure are Showing themselves off Beautifully Done I do too grow my Monstera Delisiosa’s n I’m learning that they like the care we give them!!! Nice very Nicely Done
Just found your channel and subscribed. Such beautiful plants. Love them all. Thanks for all those tips. Your speech is so calm and peaceful , so listening to you was a joy. I cannot stand loud and hyper presentations. Thank you for sharing your green treasures. Please show the cat next time.
Your simple yet thorough explanation of how you take care of your luscious and good looking plants is much appreciated. 🙏👍❤️ I also use neem oil to treat a varieties of bugs , but I learned from a TH-camr and make my own solution (1 quart of water, 1.5 teaspoons of neem oil, 1 teaspoon peppermint castile soap, 5-10 drops peppermint essential oil.) It would cost a little more up front to buy the ingredients, but it’s much more economical if you have a large collection if plants to treat . As long as you don’t expose the plants to direct sunlight, I find that the leaves won’t be damaged after the treatment.
Thank you and thanx for the tip. The solution you are suggesting would work just fine and would be a much more enjoyable fragrance then just the Neem oil :)
I switched from Neem Oil to Insecticidal Soap. The neem oil would discolor the leaves on some of my plants even though I would spray at night and these plants are in the shade. Systemic granules have been awesome for me too. I found Insecticidal soap to be much more effective for the spider mites I deal with
Just discovered your channel. Good job! Just like you, I am not a professional. So I am learning too. I really like your tips and recommendations. Very helpful. Thank you for sharing.
These plants are gorgeous - I used to be “into” plants when I lived in Miami (back in the early 2000’s), but I got out of it a little after I moved from Florida. But I miss all these gorgeous, lush plants ! I have a few plants in my home now, mostly succulents (some of which I’m trying to propagate right now) along with some monstera, polka dot plants, Pythos and some others - Your tips are greatly appreciated !! I ordered perlite and neems oil - can’t wait to see the results. :))
To deal with reflection when filming glass, try a 'polarizing' or 'polarizer' filter :) you can get a clip-on version for phones also. It's like magic, completely removes refractions/reflections from glass or shiny surfaces while filming. Hope this helps
Thank you, If because of this video you plan to increase how often you water your plants please watch my Tropical plants tips and tricks update. I water very little when I water and then make sure I have water come out of the bottom of the pot before letting the soil dry out some before starting the process over.
Love all your jungly plants. One day I will live in a jungle with all the trees, plants, vegetation, snakes, spiders and everything else. I have subscribed and thank you for sharing all your advice.
2AM and I’ve just discovered your amazing channel with all your beautiful plants… Im going to be back to start working my way through your videos, absolutely beautiful collection and I see lots of great information! 🪴
Your plants are gorgeous! I have a nice-sized monstera in a 12-14” terracotta pot. I may have used coco coir in the soil mixture … maybe so since it seems to dry out sooner than I’d anticipated. My mixture includes pumice, orchid bark, and charcoal. So I’m gonna try watering more often. I’m also experimenting with bottom watering. Thanks to your video, I’m now comfortable with the pot size of cuttings from the big monstera. Thanks for sharing your care routine.
Sounds great! Start increasing the frequency that you water slowly over time and the more often you water the smaller the amount of water you use. Frequent light waterings.
I've use tree bark as well, usually I added it to potting soil and I watered 2 or 3 times a month as well and the plants grow just fine with no problems. Now I trying to reproduce the natural growing conditions to try to get them to grow at the same speed as they do in their native climate. Doing this I've seen a dramatic increase in growth and overall size. Thanx for watching and commenting. :0
I will be putting together a video just on plant pest control at some point. If the Neem oil is not working fast enough use Insecticidal soap its a spray and much stronger and works for all sorts of insects.

Check out Sydney plant guy. Nice plants. Or myself take a look.
Grat recommendation, that's where I learned about the moss poles. Been fallowing him for an yr. Kill this plant is a good one for monstera.
WOW! I MEAN, WOW!!!! You have some of the best looking on plants on TH-cam. You clearly know what you are doing! Bravo.

I just put peat moss and perlite in my potting mix, first time as opposed to just soil, so fingers crossed my pothos loves it.

Great tip! Yes I totally agree insecticidal soaps are much more effective
Same. I sprayed neem oil on my philo paraiso verde and the next day all my big beautiful leaves were yellow and oily. Ruined 😢
spider mites are not insects so Insecticidal soap may not be effective.
Wow Beautiful plants🌱🌴😍👍🤗
Thank you for the nice comment
Wow!!!! Goal right there! I too have a few aquariums and i lobr growing plants out of mine. It definitely helps keep nitrate levels down!

I water my monsteras twice a month. I water most of my tropical plants twice a month. My mix is mostly tree bark. That way I avoid root rot.
I've use tree bark as well, usually I added it to potting soil and I watered 2 or 3 times a month as well and the plants grow just fine with no problems. I do believe some of my plants have spider mites too, I will be using neem oil on them as well. Your video is very helpful, Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
I will be putting together a video just on plant pest control at some point. If the Neem oil is not working fast enough use Insecticidal soap its a spray and much stronger and works for all sorts of insects.
