The NES homebrew scene is thriving, it is a niche, but very passionate group. There has been enough sales of the cartridges to totally make it worthwhile.

How about the best overlooked games that still got massive advertising: aka ghost of tsushima and horizon zero dawn/forbidden west, clearly Playstation games but there's a lot of amazing games that got ignored because of lesser massive titles, aka the newer fps generation. Looking at CoD(the first modern warfare remake was particularly good and the multi-player was imo perfect) and the other mega games that l have been dropping in quality with each subsequent title. Really you could call it "great games ignored for massive titles that have declined in quality" or something like that.

11:00 The Lynx wasn't a bad console, it was just the worst of the handhelds available, and -it wasn't actually all that portable-. Even if you managed to wrangle all of its bulk through the door (which would get easier over time, as you yourself would bulk up considerably after lugging that heavy thing around for any amount of time) it was just as battery-hungry as the Game Gear, so you'd be standing out side with a heavy plastic brick, the size of skateboard, but with none of its functionality. I suppose you could club muggers to death with it, but who'd want to mug the poor, misshapen kid carrying a Lynx around? What could a mugger take from you that life hadn't already taken?
To this day I say that dream cast is still probably one of my favorite systems that I ever had and had the most fun with. I loved that console so much the graphics were awesome for the time. I remember I used to play crazy taxi a game called toy, sonic adventures and another game called zombies revenge an they were all great

As a last gen player, I'm just happy games are still releasing for Xbox One. Games like Dead Island 2, that released like a month ago, are still releasing on Xbox One even though Series X came out 2 and a half years ago. However, I accidently bought A Plague Tale Requiem a while back and, because I haven't gotten used to which games are Series X and which are not, I thought "Oh, it's probably on Xbox One but you can play it on Series X as well" and I can't play it on my One and I wasted money. A plus though, I *did* also buy Elden Ring and The Callisto Protocol while I was in the store so I was happy

Is that Tony McGuire advertising the Lynx? I had the Gamegear and it guzzled AA batteries. Eventually we found a rechargeable battery pack for it but it drained just as fast as regular batteries. Eventually I just started sitting next to an outlet when I would play that behemoth and kept it plugged in unless I took it to a friend's house lol.
Were there not many PS5 games at launch? Yes. Was I thoroughly entertained for months revisiting or playing for the first time a ton of PS4 games with higher frame rate and fidelity? Also yes 🙌🏻
